I normally don't bring my children in with me but the one time I did the experience was awful, the deli worker kept itching theyre arms and face and saying strange things and pacing back and fourth almost like on drugs. Kinda scary.! Then the one product I went in for was out of date by 2 weeks and when I pointed it out they told me they planned to pull that stuff the next day. Very disturbing!

The produce here is routinely wilted and past its prime. Today two members of the staff were angrily muttering in the aisles, one cursing, as if unbalanced. Our checker was absurdly rude. I am not sure why other stores can hire cheerful courteous staff and Tops cannot

Small, excellent staff, stock is limited in scope, BUT, it is essential for this expansive and sparsely populated area of the state. I'm from the Capital District, so my perspective is skewered by great choice and availability. Look, if you're anywhere near this place, you'll need it - and you'll be happy that it's staffed as it is.

Being that we were on vacation, we weren't ready for how small this Tops was compared to what we're used to. But, they packed a surprising amount of things in there. The knock off of one star came from all their hot dogs being grey... The only ones that weren't were the cheese filled dogs, and those were almost double the price of what we pay back home.

Tops is the grocery store closest to home( 8 miles)so it' our "go to" for quick shopping. Staff is very nice.. store always clean ..organized. Selection varies. Prices are a wee high on some items. I hate the "deals" ..ie pepsi products.. buy 2 six packs get 3 free.. but each six pack is marked up to $7.99 ..( consumers aren't stupid..well most arent lol)

Its a nice store to shop in. The store always has a great fresh fruits and vegetables selection. The meats are always fresh and there are great deals every day. I just wish it was a bit bigger to accommodate space for electric scooters. Otherwise I really like Tops market.

Most people that work there are nice friendly and helpful. The store is clean. The produce ladies are willing and able to help you pick out fresh fruit, and explain to you how to tell the difference.If there's something you can't find, just ask. The staff will even look in the back for whatever it might be. If it's something they don't have then they will give you a raincheck if they can.

For a grocery store they don't offer a very good selection of veggies or meats. Not a very friendly staff either. I don't think anyone knows how to smile or joke around

It's hit or miss. Store is overcrowded in the dairy section. The quality, selection and price is much better at Lake Placid Hannaford. Their store is eat of the floor spotless.The front end help and manager (younger gal) is very nice at Top's. The older, gray haired deli worker seems to cop a shifty attitude every time. She acts like you are disturbing her while she chats away with coworkers. You wait patiently and all she can muster is be right with you as she continues her personal conversation.

Good grocery, not as big as some, but they have pretty much everything you need. I was surprised to find fish sauce and ichiban noodles. They have good brands of aged cheeses as well as a decent bread selection. Rotisserie chickens,, all that. They even have eggroll wrappers. Everything except good fresh fish and frozen mango.

Store still has limited choices and has higher prices than other chains 40 min away but clean, friendly staff... of note they have hired some young people to work registers this summer...it's great to see friendly faces that are working when they don't have to. Particularly impressed with Kiayra Lamotte.. young gal but even when busy.. stays calm and friendly.. yup..pretty impressed.

Fresh produce. Meat looks fresh. Nice, but small selection in the deli. This is a small town store... Typical TOPS. Prices are significantly higher than other stores, but it's the only grocery store within a 60 - 90 minute drive, so you don't really have any other options. There is a Stewart's for milk/bread/soda/sandwiches, etc and a Rite Aid drug store.

I have to say that Tops is not my favorite chain to shop, as their selection is sometimes limited and their prices could be better. However, this Tops has a very helpful, friendly staff. Their sales are excellent value. In Elizabethtown, the produce manager is outstanding -- the selection of vegetables is excellent, and their meats are quite nice as well. They are well stocked with basic goods, so it's not often that you can't find something that's close to what you are looking for. Considering the location, it's a blessing. The further one gets into the Adirondacks, the more planning it takes to fill the pantry. If you are a fan of specialty foods, your options are traveling to Plattsburg, or Burlington Vermont, or mail order, but you certainly won't starve shopping here.

It’s the only grocery store within a 45 minute range in most directions - so it could get away with being overpriced, poor service etc but happily it doesn’t go there. The produce selection is pretty good for a smaller store and the variety is ok given the store’s size. Generally, they are usually well-stocked shelves with a variety of products / providers. Mostly friendly staff (can we all be in a good mood all the time??). Prices are comparable to those in Plattsburgh / Lake Placid/ Ticonderoga, especially if you take advantage of sales. My only beef is that they don’t always have the products on sale in the circular but otherwise I am happy to have them nearby and satisfied with the service and quality of what is on the shelf.

This store is a rip. Ridiculous prices on random basic foods. Watch yourself at this place.Ex. Doritos for $7/bag is the biggest scam I've come across in some time. Chicken was outrageously priced.

This is a great store to sale shop at. They almost always have the items available in their sales flyers. Cashiers are friendly & accommodating. Very nice produce section. Prices are high if items are not on sale!

Revised. They seem to have better selection of meats now. This store is the only game in town. Their selection is weak but they make up for it with very high prices. Decent beer selection though.

Customer service has not been the greatest over the past few years- more training should be offered to the newer staff coming in- and it wouldn’t hurt for some of the seasoned staff to get some of that training as well. Especially when dealing with diverse crowds.

It's a small store in comparison to many supermarkets but they offer great produce. Their meat department is exceptional. And their staff is friendly and always willing to give assistance.
