We adopted our younger dog here last May. Ironically, we went to check out an adult house rabbit & ended up with a large breed puppy. They were completely open & forthright about what we were looking at; a pup who was half grown & in need of exercise, structure, & understanding.Jovi (now called Maeve) & I dropped in for a visit this week. Maeve is now twice the size she was when we took her home and was not recognized at first sight. She was happy to visit & happy to see her old friends who helped her when she was just an abandoned stray puppy (we have the paperwork).I've seen animals meet bad former trainers or be stuck back at a shelter before. They're usually scared, miserable, and defeated looking. My girl showed no sign of that, only wanting to visit her old stomping grounds and love all over the director.

This place should be shut down.we found two sweet kittens. We filled out their paperwork, we waited days to be excepted. We were told they were yours. We spent time and lots of money on cat stuff. Get a call as we head out the door to pick them up. The head of the place had a volunteer call to say not to come. She didn't even have the decency to call herself. My wife is devastated. . Not even worth the 1 star.

Our family was invited to the Dela Subaru spca event. We piled in the car and went down to take a look at the pets looking for forever homes. We live in Vermont so we went to plattsburgh ny. Since we have family members that work at the dealership we got pictures and fell in love with 2 of the kittens they had available.Upon arrival we learned that adopting the cats was not a same day process so we filled out the application and waited for word.24 hours later we got word that we had been approved and could come down on Thursday to pick up our new family members. So we loaded up in the car, and went shopping for all the new kitten stuff we needed as our current animals are seniors. After spending $600 we were really to head to Elizabethtown to pick them up. We made one last phone call to confirm method of payment and we're told the woman who processed our application was on a day off but the application was good and we were able to get our kittens. Not 5 minutes later we got a call from the spca, it was the director who informed us that we'd have to wait another day in order to retrieve our kittens. If we had been advised of this during the first three phone calls it wouldn't be an issue, however because we had taken time off, purchased items to be prepared for their arrival and were halfway there ( we live over an hour and a half away) you can imagine our disappointment hearing that we couldn't come to get our cats. No reason was given.I find this to be very poor business and very upsetting. We were very inconvenienced and the director was really rude in her delivery of her message. It was received as if we were not fit or being stereotyped solely because we were in a different state or had several animals. Regardless of our pristine care and stellar health of our furry family members.Don't do business with these people.

NCSPCA is incredible. Staff who care deeply about the animals in their care, a beautiful building, awesome trails for walking the dogs... What's not to love? I appreciate that the staff members get to know the animals so they can give accurate descriptions to potential adopters.

I'm very impressed with this NC SPCA. I follow them on facebook, and they do a wonderful job finding homes for these beautiful animals. I've met some of the employees at their annual tag sale, and they are wonderful, caring people. I hope all their animals find a loving home! Keep up the good work! And attend their annual tag sale fund-raiser in the summer! It's great!

They do an amazing job rescuing animals, saving there life and finding great homes. Every animal deserves a home and a second chance. Even if you don't want an animal now its great to visit and socialize with them. Helps them become better animals. Just try not to fall in love with every single one.

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE . These people and the place are the BEST. The animals are so well taken care of and the property and building is great. My passion is here. If you feel like helping them they need our support. NO KILL SHELTER. Majority of their funds come from people like us.

We went to see if they had any medium size dogs we could adopt and the people were so nice. They took my granddaughter around to see the cats and keep her occupied while I filled out an application to adopt.I was told today I can get the dog we want!

It’s absolutely disgusting how the person who answered the phone treated me, nobody should be belittled for bringing their dog in to the spca, especially when circumstances are out of their control. This place makes a big deal that they “save” animals, but then won’t take one when it comes time to step up. Completely disappointed, people be deserved to be treated as people, not scum
