This was our first visit, and we were somewhat impressed but it was not all it was made out to be. There was a large selection to choose from but a lot of store specific products so the variety was a bit limited. I asked one worker on the floor a question and she seemed bothered. She was busy but I felt she was overly annoyed. The other employees were met were nice and the cashier at checkout was really nice. It is entertaining if you have children with mechanical shows and other distractions. We will 100% go back, but it wouldn't be a first choice for day to day shopping. This would be more of a special shopping location for us.

A icon of American Retail innovation, foresight and supply chain management as a result of being a true family business. Well above and beyond any of its non gourmet competitors in affordability, customer service, marketing and experience. Worth a visit just for the experience and to see the workings and dramatic differences of a direct from producer grocer.

Love it so much. There are so many food options, a very fun shopping experience. I love pressing all the buttons to do the music and characters. Flowers, beer, ice cream, bakery, deli, cheese, seafood, much much much more. Come here weekly

We went to the store around 1PM on a Tuesday and it wasn't well stocked. Everything looked like leftovers. The Mandarin Chicken Salad was far from fresh. The lettuce greens had a moldy odor, crispy noodles were soggy and wet, and there was very little chicken which was more like crumbles. The Round Steak strips were so tough we couldn't chew them, and the apples and pears weren't fresh either. Everything looks beat up.This was the third time I've been to the store and I won't be going back. Poor quality food in a loud Carnival setting.

Supermarket located off Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow. Quality products can always be found here between the bakery, fresh seafood, butcher, sushi station, and convenient buffet area with plenty of delicious grab-n-go meals. Can get crowded so make sure you choose your time to shop appropriately.

This is my third trip, more like an adventure to Stew Leonard's, and the best way to describe it is a candy store for adults. The variety of items are endless and the prices are reasonable. Everything is fresh and delicious. The workers are very friendly and accommodating. I have never had a problem or a disappointment with anything I have ever purchased here. I plan on returning often and highly recommend this store to one and all. The.children will love the displays throughout the store. I definitely give Stew Leonard's 5 delicious stars.

Extremely overpriced regular and poor quality food. Charged me $28 for a snapper that still had about 30%of the scales on it, all the fins and the guts still inside. Even though I was told it was cleaned. As you can see the from the cloudy eyes it was also not fresh. But sold as fresh and wild caught. I went there after a long day at work and didn't have the energy to try to find somewhere else. Really they should get 0 stats.

No matter the location I go to Stew is always filled with quality products. Prices but it is worth it, especially the meat. The fruit pies are delivered and made fresh along with other pastries. Want a good selection wine to go with your meal, stew has wine and spirit store as well. For every 100 spent is a free ice cream cone. Good way to end shopping 🛍

Grocery shopping is fun here, especially for kids, they have a farm theme which is great fun! Quality of food is good, bakery items are fresh. When buying meat check the date since they sometimes have a day left on the expiration. Dairy items are like farm fresh and creamy. Their customer service is excellent and you get a free coffee or ice cream if you buy grocery over $100. Neat, clean and fun place to shop.

I love going to Stew Leonard's because they have the best selection of baked goods and freshly prepared foods. The store has a similar design to IKEA in which you walk through a maze to get to checkout. It is a lot of fun for kids, especially with all of the animatronic farm animals that are singing corny but catchy tunes that make shopping here fun. The Apple Cider donuts and pumpkin crumb cake are a big hit during the cool Autumn months. Stew's has their own coffee line. The NY Roast is the best! They also make their own popped rice cakes which are zero points. Their own brand of salsa called Mrs Leonard's is also delicious and low in calories. The staff is super friendly and the bathrooms are always spotless. On your way out grab a cone of their homemade ice cream. It doesn't have all of the junk in it and they have a wide variety of flavors. Download the app to save even more money. It's hard not to spend a lot here because there are so many great deals.

Let me start by saying that we shopped at Stew's East Meadow for a few years, driving over 45 minutes each way before moving into East Meadow just to be closer. It has been a wonderful experience for years and we frequently recommend Stew's to all our friends and family. However, my wife and I can't help noticing that more and more frequently, the advertised prices for sales, either via flyer or in store on the boards, isn't be automatically applied at registers. Recently, we've noticed after arriving home and checking the receipt, that the prices weren't being accurately reflected. It became a hassle to go back to customer service and ask them to adjust the price, which they often did on the spot. Now, we've gotten into the habit of checking the price as they ring up the merchandise and pointing it out to staff. This is where our issue lies. The staff have gotten into a habit, with an accusatory tone, that we, the customers must have picked up the wrong items because the system rang up the price as a different cost. They've often had to send someone else to the aisles to check the signs, as if we were lying to them, holding up the line and our time (not a positive experience for us or the people waiting behind us). Frequently we've had to resort to taking and showing photos of the sale items to ensure it gets credited properly. To make matter worse, the checkout employees and their supervisor have most recently, begun presenting an attitude once they realize the system was wrong and they need to fix the price. This attitude has presented itself in ways such as their dismissive attitude, lack of apology for wasting our time. each time, stabbing at their monitor/keyboards as if we were the problem or straight rudeness in their speech. This lack of customer service and professionalism has degraded over the last year, while we held our tongues and stayed silent until its become this consistent issue recently. To compound upon this issue, we have often returned during the same sale period to pick up the same item again, only to face a checkout register without the sale price again, only to go through the entire thing again. This means that even after pointing out the system error with the prices, no one is updating/adjusting the price in the system. How many dozens or hundreds of customers are unknowingly paying a higher full price for the items that stew's is advertising as discounted??This chain of events needs to be addressed and the mangers of stew's east meadow needs to work on his team's attitude and process for these type of price issues. These issues are not reflective of what we believe Stew and Stew Jr envisioned for their stores. I am anticipating hearing from someone regarding this issue as we can no longer recommend people shop at stew's and have begun to wonder whether we should continue shopping there ourselves.

Absolutely love it here! Their selection is very unique and can’t find a selection like this anywhere else. It opens my creative cooking palette! Oh and do not go there on an empty stomach.

It is an interesting supermarket. The items are a bit pricey except on sales items. The food is fresh. But stay away from the hot food. They are very expensive and not tasty. In additional, we had the chicken wings. It made me very thirsty for the rest of the day. They must put a lot of MSG in it.

The stew Leonard’s chain is the epitome of a happy shopping experience. Think about Trader Joe’s and add an amazing sushi, pizza, sandwich, and hot food section, great prices and easy to navigate floor. Absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a stress free grocery shopping experience.

Stew Leonard's items are high quality, hence the higher prices. Store is a lot of fun for children with all the animatronic animals they have around. Things are well organized and spaced out. They are very clean and well prepared.

Prices in general are much, much higher than its counterparts. Not much of a selection on many items. Here are my grades on SELECTION & PRICES respectively(1-5 stars) on a couple of departments :Deli Dept : 5,3Meats: 5,3Cheeses: 5,5Food RTE : 5,3Bread: 4,2Coffee : 4,3Produce: 3,3Beverages: 3,3Beer: 3,3Customer service: 4.5Organization & Cleanliness : 5I really enjoy the one-way street sort of traffic pattern that is proprietary of theirs. Just make sure when you're passing through, you don't forget to grab what you're looking for, or else, you'll be going backwards against the mob! 😁I would have given S.L a 4-star rating if the their prices weren't so out of wack.I believe their business will drop substantially after Lidl opens up.Lidl, on the other hand, has amazing prices.Looking forward to shopping there.

Stew Leonard's is one of the most unique supermarkets and shopping centers I've ever been to for food and fresh produce! They even give delicious samples of foods on certain days that I absolutely adoreddd... so yummy! The food and vibe of the store is also just so unique and I recommend anyone to try visiting and shopping at Stew Leonard's at least once!My favorite parts is their chicken bar (yummy!) and pastry section. Then my favorite food to buy their in general from the shelves and freezers is their spicy patties! So delicious grilled! They just have so many options and a lot to sample.

I loved this place. Lots to do. We don't have to drive an hour to get stuff at really cheap prices. My daughter loves it too. They even have crawfish from new orleans. It's situated in a big lot. Workers are friendly. Snacks are fresh and cheap. Fruits and veggies are cheap.

This store is spacious and beautiful. It feels like Willy Wonka crested it. Bring your kids while you shop, it’s a Disney world feeling and experience with their cute robots that sing. Yes! We are talking about a supermarket. I had a fun time!

Stew Leonard is simply the best place to get beef. They offer beautiful butcher cuts at competitive prices. Best of all, they offer incredible deals weekly for whole cuts that you can custom cut into steaks from half inch to two inches.

Stew Leonard's is an upscale specialty supermarket with a great variety of items. A bit more expensive than your average super market but worth the up cost.

Had a 6:00 am appointment and they started to unload the truck 6:05, very good and efficient warehouse crew. I recommend to come around the building from Front street since the entrance on the back of the building is too tide to turn around for a 53' not day cab truck. Look satellite mode on Google maps and you'll see the best way.

Every weekend, I come here for many reasons. The first thing that sticks out about this store is that they have a wide variety of delicious bakeries, freshly made, at reasonable prices. The famous Ted Lasso's shortbread biscuit is also available there, and it is super addictive. They also have a cheesecake that is among New York's best.Second, their fruits and vegetables are some of the freshest you can find in supermarkets. Their produce is slightly more expensive, but it comes from reputable farmers.Thirdly, some like myself also come here for their buffet bar, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, BBQ items, Sushi, and etc. Grocery shopping with lunch or dinner on the go.Finally, it's all about customer service. They are attentive, the cashier line is fast moving and a great place to shop. Highly recommended.
