Hey Everyone!I wanted to leave a review because the staff here has been more than amazing in providing adequate service to not only my fur baby Summer, but also to me--her owner.I had been on a waiting list since November, and got an appointment for February and I was very anxious for my puppy to get spayed because she is very active and wild (Bichon, Maltese, Shih Tzu mix).Anyway, brought her in for 8am-8:30am and she was done around 1:30pm and ready for pick up. The cost was very affordable! and I was shocked at how little they charge for the amazing service.Everyone here is so friendly and let's you know every procedure that would be performed prior to surgery. Summer needed her baby tooth extracted and they asked for permission before doing anything and they even trimmed her nails for free (did the best nail trim she's ever gotten).Post-op was a journey, Summer was really fussing and about ready to rip open her stitches and I was panicking, Stephanie reached out to me with the help of Theresa and I was texting and calling her so much throughout the entire day/night (I feel so bad) but she made sure Summer was ok and even offered to check her incision site again and maybe prescribe her something to help.Everything went well and now we're 1 week post-spay and Summer is recovering so well! I recommend every paw parent to come here for their fur baby's surgery. Also, they send Pre and Post-op surgery instructions so do not worry too much and let them take care of your baby.Also, There are loads of donated items there and I asked if I could bring some stuff to show my appreciation. Summer is a very picky eater and rather than throwing stuff out, I figured there might be an owner there who may need it. I will continue to donate here because they really love pets and have the most empathy for them and treat them as if they were their own.

First pet and went to get her spayed, great experience with us waiting in the car instead of inside. I have to text first and get a text back when it’s my turn to come in. Front desk lady takes her time with every pet owner, made us feel happy instead of leaving worried. Didn’t take an hour on waiting and getting checked in. It took 6 hours since drop off for pickup. Also, they provided me a free leash/collar set. Will definitely come back for my other dog and future dogs.

Great experience from scheduling, drop off, to the actual surgery. Had my cat spayed and my dog neutered and can’t say enough good things about this place. It was so hard to find somewhere reasonably priced that I could trust with the care of my pets but both recovered fast and with no complications!

We were put on a waiting list that I totally forgot about. A little over a year later they contacted me and I was able to schedule an appointment for three of my cats to get spayed. The staff here was super friendly and the workplace looks really clean and organized. I knew my cats would be in good hands when I left them. Thank you again for Helping PAW. All of you were amazing. I'm trying my hand at the TNR project, because I believe that we as humans should be doing everything we can to help our furry friends. It breaks my heart to see kittens born in situations that are not ideal, like the bleak of winter, where their only means of comfort are the harsh elements. I was able to catch a kitten and wanted to get him neutered and checked out for the cold he seemed to have had. I searched the internet for facilities that offered these services at a decent price. I came across Helping Paws website and saw their prices for their services which was very reasonable. I filled out the online appointment and immediately got a response that there next available appointment would be a couple of months off. My heart dipped, I did mention to her that it was a kitten, I recently caught. She said they would call or email me when a date becomes available. I didn't stress the situation and resumed my search. The next morning I saw a text from the woman, asking if I could bring the kitten in that morning, apparently someone had cancelled. I was so grateful and responded, yes! I took him in and dropped him off around 11am. The woman who met with us was so welcoming and warm, she immediately made me feel assured that he was in good hands. The pick up time was around 10pm, which I didn't mind. He's doing great and adjusting to his new life with us! I will be donating to this amazing organization.

I had a WONDERFUL experience with Helping PAW. When I initially contacted them, I was informed of a four month wait, however, the wait ended up being a little bit less than four months. I first communicated with Theresa who was extremely helpful and kindly answered all questions I had. When we brought him in, the check-in went well and they were extremely organized. I was also provided with extensive pre and post surgery instructions which were beyond helpful for my dog's healing process. It has been three weeks since my dog's surgery and his incision has healed beautifully. I would absolutely recommend Helping PAW for affordable spay/neuter services. They are a group of qualified, kind, helpful individuals who truly care.

I brought my 1 year old dog here for her spay surgery about 1 month ago, and it was a wonderful experience. I live in NYC, and unless you are willing to wait 6 months to 1 full year on a waitlist for a low-cost visit, spay surgeries are just too expensive. I am so thankful that this place exists; they provide a high quality and friendly experience for what can be a stressful pet-parent moment, and at a cost that is accessible to so many. Thank you helping paw!

Although it took a long time to be able to get my kitten a spay appointment (about 3 months of trying), we were eventually able to do it after she turned 7 months and had her first heat.Although we live in the city, this had to be the place to go, as they were low cost, had plenty of experience, and were recommended by friends who had gone here before. All in all a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and thorough, and were excellent at communicating with us on the appointment day. Great place to go!

They were great. They emailed me back with dates and all the paper work I needed. Got my fiancé to drop off our cat to be neutered and give shots. With in a few hours everything was done very inexpensive and our cat was returned with an E-collar.It’s been months now since this and our cat is doing great.

My newly rescued pup Mack, was neutered at Helping PAW on Friday and it was an absolutely amazing experience!First of all special thanks to Theresa Zwerling for making an early appointment available because The Humane Society in NYC had no openings for 7 months.Every single person who greeted us on Friday was exceptionally kind and treated Mack and I like we were royalty.During the procedure they combed out some hair mats Mack wouldn't let me get to, cleaned his ears, examined his eyes, and microchipped him.Mack has an eye infection and they gave me meds for his eyes and pain meds for the procedure. He smelled wonderful when I picked him up and by the next day he acted like the surgery had never happened.Saturday night I received an email from Helping PAW asking how Mack is doing. Incredibly thoughtful.I can't say enough good things about Helping PAW and highly recommend them to anyone needing their services.Mack's neutering could not have gone better and Helping PAW did so much more for my adorable rescue puppy than I expected.Thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart ❤️ . I cannot thank Helping Paw ENOUGH for the amazing service they provided. My beautiful 1 year old cockapoo had to undergo the spay surgery and I was so nervous for it. They really helped me with my questions and made me feel comfortable leaving my dog in their hands. Lovely staff! You can tell they care so much about all the beautiful animals that go there.

They were phenomenal from start to finish with our very anxious German shepherd. We were especially nervous as the neutering was a bit more invasive with one friend never descending but they were so calm, confident, and kind the whole day. Highly highly recommend helping paw! They took such great care of our BIG baby.

Very helpful and amazing staff members. Responded to queries even days after surgery. The cone was put around my cat so perfectly it didnt budge for two weeks yet loose even for the cat to be comfortable.

I had both of my Bengal kittens neutered and microchipped here. They are very professional and proficient at getting these procedures done. It's obvious from the time of making the appointment to pick up after the procedure that they have a system that works. My kittens recovered very nicely. I would recommend PAWS to my friends.

Recently had my one year old pup spayed and they were phenomenal. The staff were super nice! My dog was groggy after the surgery as to be expected but the very next day she was her normal self. The incision seemed well done because it wasn't very big and my dog didn't seem to be in any discomfort at all. It's our first dog so we were super nervous but the experience ended up positive!

What a wonderful team and setup at Helping Paw. Super friendly and informative. They are very low cost, there may be a wait but it is well worth it.We took our little guy for neutering, who turned out had already had the snip.. thank you "local vet" for your malpractice and wanting to charge us $800 to do what was already done.. wow.Regardless, HP were very kind and understanding. We felt bad wasting their time and energy but they couldn't have been nicer. Thank you!

I took my dog to get spayed and I was scared at first but luckily the lady in the front was extremely nice and I felt comfortable leaving my dog with them.I don’t normally leave reviews but I felt like I needed to give them a 5 star because my experience there was amazing. Amazing! Yes, the wait times are long - mine was 4 months- but the quality of their service was worth the wait. I only paid 180 for microchipping and spaying my cat ! Great option for cat owners who are incapable of paying 500+ to get their cat fixed.

I can not say enough great things about Helping Paw. They were incredible with our very nervous 75 lb boxer mix, Frankie who did very well with their exceptional care. Special thanks to Theresa Zwerling for the appointment and Nicoletta and the other staff members for all their help with our boy. They were so sweet, patient and accommodating. They made the process very easy when Frankie was very nervous. He's doing great thanks to their special attention.

I brought my dog in today to get neutered. The staff was very welcoming, patient, compassionate, and kind. They handled my dog with the best care! Whenever I had any questions or needed further clarification, they were very quick to respond through email. My sister and I drove from Brooklyn all the way to Long Island to Helping Paw and it was well worth the drive! If you need an affordable spay or neuter for your little ones, this is the place to go! These people are saints. So glad we found a low cost option outside of the city. We waited a long time on the wait list, but they took really good care of our puppy for a quarter of the price of somewhere in the city, so it was worth it. Our only issue was with communication; they are somewhat hard to reach and they grossly under represented what time our pup would be done with surgery, costing us quite a bit on our rental car. I would still recommend them - just plan on your pup being there the whole day. They are really kind and loving with the animals, and clearly bonded with our pup throughout the day. They even have a free and donation area in the lobby. Really great non-profit that's doing amazing work!
