East Meadow Veterinary is a great practice. Dr. Olcha has taken such great care of my recent senior rescue Chloe. She came to him with intense and serious skin issues that were severely impacting her quality of life. Dr. Olcha has really researched, explained and prescribed medications that have given her her life back. It has taken quite a few months to find the right course of treatment and Dr. Olcha has been so diligent and caring. He is always responsive to questions and phone calls. The practice does NOT push excessive procedures and tests, you do not feel pressured or pushed into anything. I recommend them without hesitation!

I have nothing but great things to say about East Meadow Vet Center. Dr. Olcha is professional, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The office is clean and the staff are welcoming and friendly.We took our dog here for the first time after our prior vet was dismissive of our concerns. When we told Dr. Olcha what was happening with our dog, he suggested blood work (which we did) and told us he’d give us a call on Monday with the results. He ended up contacting us the next morning saying that our dog’s blood work results were life-threatening and that we should take her to the emergency vet asap.We are extremely grateful for this vet center having same-day availability, and for Dr. Olcha’s accurate course of action, overall knowledge, and prompt communication. If you are looking for a vet who you can trust and feel confident in their abilities, I highly recommend Dr. Olcha and East Meadow Vet Center.

I'm so happy to have found this place. The family cat was an indoor/outdoor domestic and never had an issue, save for one bad vaccination response when he was 12. But he got older and obviously started to need care when he was losing weight. I went to another vet in Plainview that charged $2600 just for X-rays and was mortified at their push for more and more testing. Not these people. They remind me of the kind of doctors and vet office that were around decades ago, before everything turned into corporate kiosks. They took amazing care of my kitty, and have continuously cared for him whenever I needed. They are responsive, extremely reasonably priced, follow up on everything, and have handled my old man cat with complete care. They deserve all the 5 stars for their compassion and professionalism.

Dr. Ferber is awesome! He is caring, and compassionate. we just got a new puppy and his staff was amazing. I was at another vet prior who tried to sell me every vaccine under the sun. Dr. Ferber was honest and told me exactly what my puppy needed and didn't pressure us into doing unnecessary stuff. he prices are very reasonable. would definately recommend.

Dr Ferber and the staff were all very nice and professional! I came for the first time with my pup and they made me feel very comfortable as a first time puppy parent. He answered all of my questions and our puppy loved them. Easy parking as well. Highly recommend!

This is by far the best vet clinic on long island. After using multiple vets close to my house, I quickly learned that an additional 15 minute drive was well worth it for the best care. They are small enough for personal care, but very knowledgeable and professional and they are able to tackle even the most delicate of cases. I currently see them with my chihuahua Penelope and could not be happier. Many of the clients mention Dr. Ferber and his staff on Facebook and after reading many positive reviews (and all positive reviews) this clinic was the obvious choice for our Penelope, who we consider family. I highly recommend Dr. Ferber and his staff for the most honest, caring and professional care possible. I am so happy we found him as a vet. Penelope gives this clinic an enthusiastic tail wag too!

We just started seeing Dr. Ferber after my dog Whiskey had seizures out of no where. We recently moved to Long Island. I am a nervous nelly and Dr. Ferber was so patient with me. He took time to explain everything and I did not feel rushed at all. He even spent time on the phone with me after I had additional questions. He is very knowledgeable. We are very happy we found him. He is great.

We just adopted 2 puppies who became sick and we were worried something was wrong. East Meadow Vet was wonderful, put us at ease, Shannon and staff very nice, welcoming and professional. Very professional staff. Everyone is kind, friendly and patient. Dr.Ferber takes time to explain procedures. He called right after surgery to update us and called the next day to see how our cat Luke was doing. We highly recommend this practice to everyone. We cannot praise everyone there enough!

I always get amazing care for my cats whenever I come in or call. And if one might be sick, they are always quick to call me back and to schedule an appointment if necessary. I know that I will always get the best care here. My cats will never be treated poorly, they will never be given any unnecessary tests, and most importantly, they will only be prescribed medication as a last resort. I would recommend this vet to anyone!!

I am happy with the doctor Ferber but his staff another story. It took me two weeks week, hours on the phone to get the Rx filled. Apparently it is also funny when a customer complains. I wish the doctor revisit the quality of his staff, with current rate of unemployment he can find responsible people. For those who decide to see dr. Ferber watch out for the name of the prescription and the dosage, the staff tend to screw it up.

Dr. Ferber and his staff are so caring and patient. They fit me in when my Shih Tzu was sick. Dr. Ferber called me back very quickly when he got sick again. He doesn't go for the most expensive treatment, rather he gives you the best care for your pet!!Wish I found this office and these wonderful people sooner, but glad I did!!

Molly our puppy had to be spayed for her own health and Dr. Ferber took the case and took excellent care of her.. He is a family doctor you cant fine today. Oddly his pop took care of my first dog when I was a teen in Queens NY

Heard nothing but great things about Dr Ferber so I figured I would give them a try. I went in to ask about pricing, the receptionist could care less about helping me and just looked at me like I had 3 heads. The only thing she would tell me was the new client exam fee. Wouldn’t tell me the price for an exam after that, when I asked about prices for shots she said she couldn’t tell me that either...... do they vary from dog to dog? You can’t tell me how much a bortadella or lepto shot is? The only thing she would share is that their rabies shot is “on the expensive side” since it’s 3 years. I found this odd..... I’ve been to plenty of vets before. So I guess I have to bring my dog in and just cross my fingers that the charges aren’t expensive? How can you not tell me how much something is before I do it? Bizarre.

I was visiting family in NY and my elder dog fell ill suddenly. My in-laws use this vet, so we hauled her out to the car, and away we went. Dr Michael Ferber was amazing in his perserverance, and follow up in finding out what was happening. I am grateful now, over 1 1/2 yrs later, that I've enjoyed these extra "bonus hours" with my Samantha. She has just this week gone to her final rest, and as I'm clearing out paperwork, I came across this office, and all the tests, follow up calls, meds that he used to treat her. I would go to this office again without question. Caring and compassionate vets like this are what we need in this world!
