Definitely "the home of the helpful hardware folks". On more than one occasion I was about to leave empty handed but before I could walk out one of the crew will ask "did you not find what you were looking for" and after I tell them what I was looking for we go back and they find it. I think each time I left with a smile on my face.

I was there to get a new battery and key for my car. They couldn't get to the battery bc screws were too rusty. So I told them not to worry and just make a new key. As it happens, they didn't have that in stock and would require to order one which would change my traveling plans. The manager and his staff were so friendly and helpful I was so gladly surprised to see how they were to willing to help me even if they couldn't. As opposed to other places where they say we don't have it or we can't and that is the end of the story. It really was a pleasure to walk into this ACE store in East Islip NY.

Can not express enough how I love this local, helpful, friendly hardware store. I’ve been a customer since Costello took it over n I don’t know what I would do without the wonderful staff. Infact I feel like everyone is like family I go so open. They have a staff of young, knowledgeable, polite n know how to answer n help with any issue u may have. My go to this store n leave with a smile from talking to the employees. Thankyou Mr Costello for bringing this store to my home town.

Ive never had a bad experience at this store. Everyone is always so helpful, but one worker stands out. Joan is the kindest, most helpful, and most personable employee at this store. She always knows the answers to all of my questions and makes my experience quick, easy, and enjoyable. I highly recommend talking to Joan next time you’re here, she deserves a huge raise! In fact, make her the CEO of the company!

I was at Costello's Ace Hardware of East Islip back in November. I was in search of a couple of items, unsure of which brand and model to go with. The young gentleman who assisted me, (Nick), was friendly, patient, super helpful, and more than willing to take the time assisting me. So often nowadays customer service is either non-existent or then leaves much to be desired. This experience was a breath of fresh air! I hope the store owner and manager(s) are aware of the gem they have in Nick; he is a true asset to the store.

They are very friendly and convenient. Very rarely do they not have what your looking for. I like thatYou can usually park a few feet from the door and when you go in, your in and out. Downside is you pay maybe in my opinion 10 to 15 percent more. Plus when you can not find something they usually point instead of just walking you over. I personally have no patience to search for a product I'm looking for otherwise I would just go to home depot.

I went to Ace hardware store on Memorial Day to purchase some items to cook with. I pay for item left the store. After I left store, I went to bagels store. that when I notice $60 was gone. I was so disgusted i left the store. I went home. After talking to my wife, I decided to go back to Ace hardware store. when i got back i spoke to a salesperson name Helene. She's told me her manager Vinny had found it, and he put up in back room. I just wanted to say thanks.

You know those cashiers that just stand out from the rest? Always going above and beyond to do the absolute most for each and every customer? That cashier, ladies and gents, is Joan. She is just fantastic at her job. She knows the contents of every aisle by heart and provides great service with a smile! If you stop by East islip ace, do yourself a favor and talk to Joan the cashier. You won’t regret it!!

What can I say?? In the days of big box stores, where you get ignored, nothing is ever stocked, and you can never find help, this store is a life saver. I spent 20 minutes in Hone Depot looking for help with hardware. They paged someone 4 times, and nothing. I walked out, and headed to Ace. Should have started there. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a young man, who brought me directly to hardware, and found the bolts I needed within 2 minutes. Fast, courteous service that can't be beat. Don't waste your time with Home Depot or Lowes.

Went here for the first time today...this hardware store is outstanding and it is more like a General Store. The gentleman at the cash register was super pleasant. The young lady working the floor was very helpful and pleasant as well. I am making this Ace Hardware my go to place.

This store is great. Every time I go in there they always have what I’m looking for with friendly help from all employees especially this one young lady, Joan. She always goes above and beyond and knows where all products are located without hesitation.

Live right around the block so I'm here all the time. The staff is friendly and helpful each and every time I've been there. Always someone to ask if you need help finding anything. Pricing is a little more than going to depot but worth it not having to search thru a huge store to find basic stuff

I had a great time at this location I was asking the associate Gianni where the drill bits were and he was very nice and helpful. Even made good recommendations for the drill bits I bought. Would definitely shop here permanently.

So i walked in Ace hoping to find power tools and when i asked a worker i think was Gianni who was very helpful and very outgoing. he helped me find my power tools and MORE great prices and customer service.

I ordered online from the Ace website; I received the email that my order was ready for pickup, and I ended up having to return to the store Three times before it was really ready for pickup. I guess Ace is not the place.
