The customer service representative working at the self-checkout was shockingly rude. On the afternoon of Dec 7th I was checking out a few items and asked her to see why my Stop&Shop membership entered via my phone number wasn’t reflected on the tableau. I told her that I always use my phone number and she started YELLING at me, telling me I needed to enter my membership digits instead. When I said I preferred to use my phone, she answered: “Well, then just stand there if you want!” AND WALKED AWAY like she was scolding a child. This behavior or “customer service” is unacceptable.

Stop & Shop from East Hampton is like any other one. Maybe way more smaller and less variety in products. Not too much room to walk in between aisles. Unfortunately the to go food is usually just fried chicken or fried chicken wings. They do not have rolls, sandwiches, sushi or wraps like the other ones which is unfortunate. Parking lot is most of the time full so you gotta park on the side which is usually full too and need to give few rounds before finding spot.

Beautiful sheet cake made for a very special occasion. Areil is a fantastic baker at this store. Effortlessly made our day so much better. Very affordable, very simple, tasty and memorable! Don't hesitate to order your special occasion cakes from Areil. Her work is in the fridge section - beautiful flowers, decorated cakes. She's the best! You will save yourself over $100 ordering your perfect cakes from here.

i think the customer care policy in this store is totally absent. Unfortunately today I found the same arrogant and disrespectful cashier I found 2 weeks ago. I will not shop again in this store. They should at least have the name tag on them, at least one could know and name the person who, with his rudeness and arrogance, ruins the work of the people he works with.

Next to stop and shop is Great playground clean grass and best bathrooms in area! There are swings, slides, shady trees and benches adjacent to the parking lot is tennis court

Perhaps the store should update its hours of operation. Last night at 10:06 customers were rudely turned away and told the store closes at 10. We could have wasted our time in better ways than driving into East Hampton Village for no reason. But nice that the management chooses to thumb its nose at year round residents by shutting its doors early. 👏🏽

One of the SMALLEST and hottest stop and shops I’ve ever been! But it’s very easy to find what you’re looking for. The store layout is very to follow. Staff is friendly.

It's a good place, but has long lines. If you're going in, hoping to get something quick, you'll be here for a little while. Self checkout is the quickest option.Parking lot attendants are Bryan and Luis. Great guys and very friendly to everyone. Always have smiles on their faces. If they ever strike up a conversation with you, do it. Very funny guys!

This place i consider to be one of the most important store in the East Hampton Village, here you can find most things that is needed in the food category. In relation to customer service, I consider it to be average, as the interactions and service offering can be a bit more pleasant, upbeat and real, rather than having a straight face forcing a smile. I give this place a 4 star but they need to orientate some of there service agent, and have them be more like the lady that is normally at the western union area.

Not bad. The staff does a pretty decent job of maintaining stock and managing a massive crowd of shoppers in a small area. Needing Big Improvement: Produce needs to be fresher and better quality. No excuse for old looking produce right out of the box. You can't blame the managers when they receive lame produce with brown spots.

The prices are outrageously high and the staff is very rude,let’s just say they don’t seem to like other cultures that much.And that’s not OK by any means.I would recommend purchasing products from different stores or Amazon you can tell Amazon takes a couple of days until it arrives at the Hamptons, but still I think it’s much cheaper that way and therefore much better.If you need vegetables and fruit you can always just grab from the city or again look for some in other stores.

The worst customer service. On two seperate occasions I went to pay a utility bill. First time was told customer service is closed and will not be opening that day. Fine. Second time...closed again, was told they would open at 9. I waited around and went back at 9 still not open and they couldn't find someone to open. Everyone was rude, woman at the front kept saying something but I could not understand her....I will not be back. Full service check out are not full service, they just scan your items for you while they text on their phones.

After using your delivery service in Bridgehampton for quite some time and, your drivers leaving the groceries on the porch when we are not home; we are now told at the last minute that our Holiday delivery will not be made because we are not there. Not an acceptable way to deal with customers and a tremendous inconvenience at the worst possible moment.

EDIT: I came back to give it another try because I was responded to regarding my concerns and was impressed to find the quality of your fried chicken improved significantly!knowing how little of a percentage of your sales this product likely accounts for, this shows me that this location understands the importance of quality in all aspects- and what customer perception is really worth.Thank you, I shall return.

I've lived in EH for 30 years and I feel its time to have a clean & organized store in our Village "1648 " ! Everyone that works there is great but theplace is so dirty and bugs running around. I also feel the bathroom needto be clean and with signs to wash hands. We are local home owners andare deserving of a clean, beautiful food store in East Hampton Village !!!

I went here to buy alcohol and the cashier called the manager on me because she thought i was underage. the manager accused me of using a learners permit even though it i’m 22 years old and i was using my legal drivers license. if you’re going to have an establishment that sells alcohol you should train your staff to know what a real ID is, or at least have a machine that scans IDs. We ended up going to the liquor store next door where i had zero issues purchasing alcohol. Do better and that manager needs to stop being so uptight.

I am not sure why there are so many positive reviews?!? The place is a horrible nightmare. There are so many reasons why I am giving it one star: first, when stop n shop took over his rundown store a few years ago, they made absolutely no improvements - they should have taken the time and spent some money to make some much needed improvements. The interior is so disgusting - gross cracked flooring; rusty, ancient shelving; cramped aisles that don’t even fit a cart going each way AND they always have constant boxes all over the aisles so one cart can barely get by; the prices are ridiculous (although their sales can be decent) and I cannot even count how many times I have had to return items because they have expired. I know it is the Hamptons and everything costs more but come on - fix this store!!! With the prices they charge they should have a little extra cash to make things a bit better!!

Nope. Totally missing the beat on this one. They are so out of touch with gluten-free, vegan, etc. The variety is totally lacking. Soups, for example, just absolutely lack variety of simple campbell's . IGA has a better selection and is sooooo much smaller. Why is that? The prices are best at Stop & Shop, but you're guaranteed to have to fill in your shopping list at other places because you won't find everything you need here.

Most of the workers are nice accept for this one lady who was VERY rude. She wears black glasses and had her hair in a braid and is rude every time I come in. I asked her a question today and she ROLLED her eyes at me, then began to make fun of me for accidentally going into the wrong isle. It was unprofessional and downright disrespectful. Next time I come in I will be talking to the manager and getting her name

The store employees are not wearing masks, or to be accurate, they have them on but nearly all, except the checkout staff, wear them On their chin. There is even an employee wearing a face shield without a mask...clearly not protecting others. How would they feel if all the customers wore their masks on their chin? When I’ve asked them to put their masks on, I’ve gotten surly answers e.g. “you have no idea what it’s like to lift boxes with a mask on” and countless rolls of the eyes. I’ve called and did not get assurance that management was concerned about the problem. I now travel far to get my groceries since this store is so lax about masks. If employees feel confident enough to barely pretend to wear masks, what are they doing when out of sight?

The aisles are very small. It is located in a convenient place to our family home but being from New Hampshire I found parking and shopping to be a bit of an interesting adventure. Prices were decent!

A beautiful beach with endless real estate to enjoy a game or chill on the sand with friends. A very user friendly beach that has a wifi and all you would want at a beach. There is a cafe, fresh water shower, restroom and decent parking. Oh and the waves are amazing 😎😎

A supermarket is a supermarket. No point in me reviewing the obvious choices of merchandise which is as good as it is in most supermarkets. But two things makes Stop & Shop particularly bad. First, the choice of cheeses is very limited. Mediocre cheese at high prices. In itself it is enough of a good reason to skip Stop & Shop and go down the road to Citarella. The second negative is customer service. There IS no customer service. There is a desk where there is usually a line of people and when it is your turn they never have a helpful answer. To make things even worse at Stop & Shop there is Patricia. She often "helps" at the self checkout line. I don't say this lightly but rarely have I met a more unpleasant person in a position to deal with the public. She is downright rude on a consistent basis. Is there not a manager who tells empoyees what to do and how to behave with the public? There are many people in need for a job. Why is she able to hold on to a job that obviously she doesn't like and performs with the utmost distain? Other workers at S&S are very nice but that one employee is in a very visible position and she is curt with everyone, not specifically with me.
