We have a completely different dog now! Our dog Tanner was incredibly anxious and reactive towards anyone who wasn’t his parents, or people/dogs he didn’t know. We were headed for a vacation and needed to board Tanner but knew that it would be difficult. With the recommendation of Jeannie at Paw It Forward, we got in touch with Amber who did a consultation and said she could absolutely take him. We opted for a board and train package and he spent almost 2 weeks with Amber. When he came home, his anxiety was way less and we now had the tools to take him into public places and let people into our home again. Amber knows her stuff and I would highly recommend her services if you have a similar acting dog.

Amber ACTUALLY cares about the dogs she works with. Honestly, she cares for the humans too! She knew leaving our pups for boarding with her at Christmas was hard so she took the time to send us fun pictures and videos. Our two GSD’s have worked exclusively with Amber since they were little pups. We have been cared for through puppy shenanigans right into adolescent mishaps. Amber is responsive when you reach out to her but, better yet, she checks in on her own accord. Our pups respond immediately to her techniques, it’s honestly amazing.

Amber is deeply committed to the dogs she helps and owners she works with. She takes on the most dangerous of dogs and gives them a life their owner never thought could be possible. She has helped me with my own reactive dog and we no longer are afraid or anxious to go outside. Loki can play with other dogs and his confidence is growing! Owner did a wonderful job training our dog and then training us. She listened to our concerns and challenges and helped us to work through them. Our dog had a high prey drive that she worked to help us correct so that he would stop going after all the neighborhood dogs! We can walk him without him walking us. I can't write enough great things about Kinetic K9, and I would highly recommend!

Amber is an awesome dog trainer and person. She really listens to what problems we’re having with our dog - and works with him - and us - to get results! Our dog was becoming aggressive and couldn’t be controlled on the leash. Within 30 minutes of her working with us, he was walking calmly & his tail never stopped wagging! Now it’s so nice when he joins us for a walk! We’ve tackled jumping up on us, and guests and socialization. Amber keeps it simple and effective, and with consistent work on our end, our dog is the perfect pet for our family! He just needed some training, but we did most of all! She is reliable and prompt! Amber’s greatest strengths is that she truly loves what she’s doing, and knows what she’s doing. She goes above and beyond to make sure we know what to do when she leaves us with our homework! It’s an absolute pleasure working with Amber!

German Shepherds: If you know, you know. Heimdall and I have worked with a couple of other trainers. They were amazing at helping us lay a solid foundation; but, I am *so thankful* my last one referred us to Amber to polish up our recall and start working towards off-leash freedom (and even address some reactivity issues that we’d been struggling with!). She is super knowledgeable, helpful, passionate and a whole lot of fun to work with! I cannot recommend The Kinetic K9 enough!!!

I have a reactive, 90 pound German Shepherd that I couldn't take anywhere without being afraid of seeing another dog. We had tried several other trainers with no real success. Amber asked me what my specific goals were for my dog, and even came to my house for the first session. She taught me how to recognize his signals and how to deal with his behaviors. He is already starting to calm himself and redirect himself. Amber goes with us to the places that I want to be able to go and helps him be in view of other dogs in a safe way so that he learns the proper ways to handle his anxiety. Working with Amber has been an amazing, rewarding experience and I look forward to all the new goals that I can achieve with my dog. For the first time, I have confidence in my dog, and most of all, in myself. Thank you, Amber!

I found Amber after my parent's Golden Retriever puppy pulled my mother over and she needed to have a total hip replacement. She was a terror to walk and I volunteered to attend lessons with her. Amber was great to work with and the pulling issue was solved pretty much by the end of the first lesson. We were able to work on some additional skills after that with the remaining lessons. She is now much more pleasant to walk. I highly recommend Amber as a trainer, it was an overall great experience.

Amber is a knowledgeable trainer who has been training my dog (Siberian Husky) Hana for a couple months now. My experience had been amazing and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a dog trainer (even if you think your pup is too stubborn I promise she can help)!

Amber was amazing with our Wesson from the start. Coming to our home doing an evaluation and modifying the training plans to best help him. He was a rescue only 8 months old so fearful, lacking confidence which in return led him to having reactivity with new people, animals, or anything he was unsure of. We had fears of what his future would be if he would be able to go do things with us and experience everything with us. I am so happy and thankful we were referred to Amber because now our boy is able to go everywhere with us, we can have people over without them fearing that they will get bit. He is able to live is best life and we are so thankful for what Amber has taught all of us.

My Malinois/GSD was a maniac until she met Amber. Could not take her anywhere especially drive up windows. She would go nuts. Would bark at others dogs and humans.Sasha would be at Kinetic K9 during the week then I would pick her up for the weekend with training for me. This is such a better way instead of her being gone for the whole duration. I got to practice.Sasha finished her 3 weeks today and she is much calmer, and just a better dog. She is not barking at everyone and we can go to drive ups.Amber is a wonderful trainer for both humans and dogs. Never did I feel dumb for making mistakes.I plan to continue with Kinetic K9 for more training.This the place!

Amber is wonderful. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, but she is also very personable and easy to talk to. Gemma (my dog) was having some difficulty reacting to dogs and pulling when we walked. Amber started us with the basics and we worked up to a full walk. By the end of our second session, there was a huge improvement in Gemma and she was much better passing dogs on walks and not pulling. Amber checked in with me between sessions to see how things were going and if I needed anything. I cannot recommend Amber enough! An added bonus -she has an adorable dog who helps with training.

Amber has changed my life and my dog Ryan's life. My 70+ pound mixed breed mostly shepherd had developed severe reactivity, about a year after adopting him. I was dragged across lawns and driveways, sometimes being injured, as Ryan over-reacted to critters, traffic, unfamiliar persons, trucks, just about anything that moved, especially near our house. I had given up walking him at all. Amber came into our lives about four months ago, by a referral from Jeannie at Paw it Forward. It was the perfect fit for both of us. Today, as I write this, late August 2022, my dog and I are having much better lives. He has been very responsive to the training and I have stopped being afraid of what my dog might do out in the world. He has calmed down and improved in areas that he was not even directly trained in (such as not jumping on people). His reactivity is now just low level excitement. He walks properly on leash, is doing very well with recall and has not thrown a fit in a long time. He pays attention to me. I am ecstatic about the results of working with Amber. Thank you, Amber! Amber is amazing! We got our pup a couple of months before Covid hit. He was four months old when he and his brother were found abandoned on the side of the road in the South. He was just starting to become comfortable with life and then we were all shut in. Due to a lack of socialization in his formative months he was afraid of many things. He loved the people and dog he knew but was so frightened of many things.Amber met him and within ten minutes he was comfortable with her. By the end of our first session, he was able to walk with Amber's dog and Amber's dog's sister without a problem. The change was incredible and our walks in our neighborhood are now enjoyable. My husband was there for the second session which was another positive experience. Amber is calm, cool and positive. She loves the dogs and checks in which is great. Amber has given us many tips which are all working and we look forward to our next session. I highly recommend using Amber. She's a compassionate, devoted person and she truly wants to see both the dog and owner be comfortable and happy.

We have a very large, very challenging dominant German Shepherd dog. As a result we are unable to board him, and have relied on a family friend to watch him whenever we leave town. He is the only one who can handle him. We recently had a destination wedding in which our friend was invited, so we had no one to watch our dog. We were referred to Amber and she agreed to take him. I was terrified we would get a call shortly after dropping him off telling us to come get him. Instead we got a text about 30 min later saying he was fine and settling in. I was shocked! It was such a relief as we literally did not have anyone else who would watch him. Amber kept in touch with us and sent us adorable pictures during our time away in which he was actually playing and happy. She was even rubbing his head and ears. No one can do that but us! She is a true dog whisperer. I highly recommend her!

Amber has been amazing to work with! My border collie had been very difficult to walk; chasing cars, jumping, barking, growling at other dogs and people. Honestly, even after the first training with Amber my dog was a completly different dog to walk with and I learned so much! She has helped us with socialization in real world situations and it is such a relief to look forward to future outings with my dog plus you can tell he is sooooo much happier! She offered to answer questions between lessons and went above and beyond with helping practice adding in a stroller so I can start to include my son in our walks. I got told my dog didn't have hope that she would have to wear an muzzle the rest of her life.. well I found The Kinetic K9 and she had help me and my dog out so much... To wear I was Nervous to bring Bella anywhere and know she can go to the store and be around other anmails and people....
