Good selection and for the most part cheerfully polite staff. But for some time I haven't been able to shop there without hearing one employee ranting about his political beliefs, what tax payers' money should go for, who should be locked in prison, and stuff about how America needs more prisons and he needs more guns and ammo. It's no longer the relaxing shopping experience it used to be.

So I've been a regular customer at the DG for about three years now. It's a very convenient place to shop when you live at poets landing in dryden and you have no transportation. Plus dollar general really has almost everything and the prices are reasonable. This all sounds great. Your probably Wondering why I put one ⭐ about 6 months ago (maybe more maybe less my memory sucks) this woman started working there. I'm no longer "aloud in her store". I guarantee if your any type of repeat customer than you know what woman I'm talking about. She shorter, got glasses, she's miserable all of the time. She has got the worst attitude I've seen in customer service in a long time if ever. I first encountered this woman's terrible attitude when we were checking out. My friends benefit card has seen better days but it still works. It just takes a little bit of patience. Something she clearly doesn't have.she kept telling to do this and do that and on and on. It's one thing to be helpful it's another thing to be telling someone what to do. Anyways every time we went in there and she's been working it's miserable 😣 misery loves company. She got into a disagreement with my friend about his card every time, she got into a disagreement with him about the price of soda when he was just simply asking a few questions because he was confused .which turns out he should have been confused because the prices didn't match at all. So I was in there about a week and a half ago and I did what i always do. The same things for literally the last three years. I go to checkout. Mind you I'm spending about $53 in cash. Not food stamps not nothing cash money. In her normal miserable mood she rings up my stuff and than hands me my receipt. While handing this to me she says "I'm gonna need to check your bag." "Excuse me?" I said in shock!! She repeats herself. I ask "why? Why do you need to search my bag?" She says " your not aloud in here with yñour bag." I almost started laughing. So I walked out. Well she followed me out and while I'm loading the car she says behind me "either you let me search your bag or your banned from my store" I looked at her and said "well I guess I'm banned than." She than keeps going while I getting in the car. There is no sign on the door that says to leave your bag up front or no bags or whatever. I have been shopping there for 3 years I've never been told that I had to leave my bag upfront. Who is she to tell me she's going to search me. She kicked me out because I'm friends with toad aka terry George. She's now kicked his girlfriend out as well. For no reason. I've been back in the store. When she's not working. There was no problems. It's just her. Corporate needs to do something ASAP. I've worked in customer service in the past. She's the perfect example of what not to do. I understand there are problems filling these positions. However filling them with arrogant rude no it all vindictive ppl. Is not worth it. That's all I've got. Hopefully someone does something because your loosing a bunch of your local regulars 😣😐 #FIRE HER #CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHTI could have let her search my bag, but I didn't. What if I had a bunch of embarrassing things in my bag. Who knows ppl do whatever they want.

Not only is the place absolutely filthy, but I went in today, the cashier was having a bad day I guess, she got frustrated because she couldn't figure out the register and she threw her pen at me, told me she was dine and screamed at the top of her lungs for thr manager. When the manager came up I told her how awful I was just treated and the lady denied it, and the manager said NOTHING to her. I will never do business with them again!!

The workers are friendly. Aisles are always clean and organized. It's a must to check out the clearance. I've bought some of the cleaning supplies before too and they work just the same as something double the price.

Walked in to buy a gift card and ended up having to walk all over the store to find an employee to find that there were 2 employees outside talking to one another not doing any work. Very unprofessional for a General Dollar.

Great prices and great selection of items They have a decent amount of food items that are healthy, great party supplies and a good selection of household items. I came in for Halloween supplies and there were great options to choose from. They also are beginning to stock Thanksgiving and Christmas items. It's definitely a spot to pop into time and again for seasonal items or everyday supplies for home and food needs. The staff are friendly and helpful as well!

I can not believe how horrible some of these locations look after the "upgrade". Let alone customer service has really gone down the tubes. The isles are riddled with stock carts, cardboard etc barely any passage. You would think it would be a fire violation. I don't know if there is a lack of employees however managers whether a store, district or regional clearly do not visit or plainly do not care how unsightly these stores look. Sadly I will most likely stop shopping here. The entire chain should be extremely embarrassed.

There was only one cashier and it was extremely busy. I waited in line for over 20 minutes. I was patient because it wasn't the cashier's fault that the scheduling was done poorly, she did very well under the pressure and remained professional and friendly. The store was disorganized and the clothing is crammed together too closely so you are not able to look individual items without removing multiple items. My purchases also did not ring up for the sale prices advertised and the cashier had to double-check the sale signs holding up the line even longer. It was madness.

The Dollar General in Dryden N.Y.I Absolutely Love this Store!!!Under New Management and Boy can you see the results!!!As I said before, it is now organized, Clean-(Huge plus on my list!), the staff are knowledgeable and friendly no matter what.The new Spring line of products are of good quality , Good taste- hats off to the Buyer for the Chain Store, he/she has great insight!! And taste!So take a break in the rush hour traffic, stop in, take a stroll, I'm sure you will be pleased.

Not enough staff to carry the load of customers. Poor management not assisting more than 10 people in line.after the remodel you would think it would have gotten better.i was there this am dropping off a movie in the redbox.about 740 am karts all over the parking lot trash in the parking lot.appearance is everything. 22 years in the restaurant business. Place was a reck.

Dollar General is a great store with great prices. They have everything from groceries to electronics to pet supplies to toys to hygiene products, etc etc. The best part is that it won't kill your wallet. I love DG and I shop there all the time.

Only one employee was on duty around 8pm. I felt a bit unsafe bevause I had never been to this location before before but once I figured out it was the same layout as our Ovid Dollar General, I was able to find what I needed quickly.This store was clean and every thing in its place.

I shop here every week for my paper plates, baby wipes, and paper towels i feel thier brand paper towels are the best value. they last and are only 5 dollars for a 6 pack. I also love the end of season clothing sales when they do them for 1,2, and 3 dollars each.

I go here every other wek and service the store, the manager is so receptive and thankful for someone to come out to do there job correctly. I am thankful that some ine appreciates what i do and work hard to do to see that they are happy and try to make there store look its best on the outside for them. She is such a sweet lady and treats all her customers well.

I love the bargains there but for the last few months we haven't been able to get the clover valley instant oatmeal at any of the stores and my husband and I love it I'm hoping they get them in soon none of the employees know what's going on either

It was so so there where two people behind the register"s when I was heading to the register.. As I was almost too the register. Both of the went in the office. So I was left in front of the register for over ten minutes. Then when I was getting wrong out I got four soda"s an asked for a Pac of cigarettes as well . So he wrong me up at this point an I got my cigarettes. An I figured he would have put the sodas in a bag for me . But I had to S him too there cold . he had dredlock's an he looked like he wasn't all there .Like he was on something like he was high on something. So I have to give you guys a low star rating . this is the only time I'm giving a two for my rating for today.

The store has gone downhill since it was renovated. They have more selection but the common grocery items are not stocked well with many empty spaces on the shelves.

It is terrible shopping there, since they remodeled.Not a good place to get things I use to get there, they don't have them now.Aisles are to narrow, crowded.Guess I'll have to go to Cortland, N.Y. shopping.

It's a DG, it's newish so it's still in good shape. Wi-Fi doesn't work, even though you can connect to it, but that's not world ending.

I mean it's a dollar general. It's good ..that's about it. It's a nice one though. People were nice and kind , shelves weren't gross.
