Went to lake George past weekend and called little harbor for a boat rental, it was last minute decision in the afternoon 2:30pmBy the time I went down to the place and did the paperwork was almost 3pmnormally you have to be back at 5pmThe owner was awesome and gave us until 5:45pm which gave us plenty of time to be on the lake and visit the islands.Everyone was very friendly and accommodatingI will definitely be back and definitely will recommend to all friends and familyBest place I rented boat in lake GeorgeAwesome awesome experience

Great experience taking their pontoon boat out on Lake George! The dock folks were great and the harbor is a nice spot to launch from. Lake George is beautiful and so much more fun to see from the water rather than from the shore. So glad we rented the boat! Do it!

A hidden gem. A two-way road leads you to a small shack, about a 5 minute walk to the actual dock, or if available, they have a golf cart shuttle.We rented a pontoon boat, first time operating one. Actually less "bouncy" then a regular boat and a lot more room to lounge and tan..Don't forget to rent a tube, especially if kids on board.Restrooms are available.Very pleasant knowledgeable lady at the front shack, very nice staff. Nice pontoon boat.Rates are similar to others.

I have been coming to Lake George since I was a wee one in my mother’s belly, it was a summer tradition to camp on the islands hauling all we would need for weeks on end by boat. In the past I have rented boats along Lakeshore Drive but never have I encountered such a wonderful experience as I did with little harbor boat rentals! The prices are what attracted me, but the best thing was these people could not have been more cooperative, kind and patient with me driving up in a storm from long island only to find the lake was not safe and impassable on my own as it was a very bad storm. They were so kind and offered a place to stay at the Airbnb which was perhaps the most beautiful place I have ever stayed on Lake George!! 💕I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone I meet as well as hoping they can host our family reunion for those that aren’t campers as the location is gorgeous and peaceful and more up-to-date than any place I’ve ever stayed in Lake George! 😍I can’t thank Susan and Jon Brodi enough for their kindness and commitment to serving the customer! . Been a long time since I felt that :-) these people will not disappoint !!

Friendly staff and great fun!My fiance and I came after Labor Day during a Wednesday and enjoyed a wide open lake. The staff went over the map and rules and we watched a video to help us feel comfortable out on the water. We had a blast! Drove up to the coves and down to the main Lake George area for lunch and parked at the public docs that was under $10 for 3 hours.

This was our second year renting from Little Harbor. First year was a pontoon and this year was a bow rider. We also rented two-person tubes. Staff was very polite and helpful. Boats were great my family had a blast! Best part is having a large selection of dog friendly boats to choose from. Definitely going to be our go-to rental company in the future.

My family and I rented a boat from Little Harbor on 8/11/23 at Lake George. Our rental was from 9am - 5pm. We showed up ready for check-in at 8:45am. We stood in line to get our boat and were finally in the water at 10:10am. Yes, an hour and 25 minutes standing in line to check in, and standing in line at the dock. When we finally got our boat, it was BEAT. I have rented boats before (actually even earlier this week from another marina) and you always expect wear and tear…. But nearly every seat was torn … the front and the back was torn all the way through the plastic so the foam was soaked… the boat ran fine which is why I’m giving 2 stars. I had to ask the kid that helped us launch three times for life jackets for my kids… I guess he kept forgetting… maybe they have been super busy and it’s hard to find help and they haven’t had time to upkeep there boats properly…. It just wasn’t great… tough to pay a full day and lose an hour + of our time on the lake because check-in and departure is so poorly run.

I launched and stored my trick and trailer here during a camping trip with my son. Jennifer and Tim went WAY above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and gave me some great insight into how to take full advantage of our first time on Lake George. They were full of helpful information and Tim was great in giving some mechanical advise when we left. Maggie and Jasmine were very pleasant and helpful at the gas dock and beyond as we ran some errands in town. This crew is solid and really had our best interests in mind. They helped to make our trip to the Lake outstanding! Thank you to everyone at Little Harbor!

This place is by far the best marina in Lake George. We have been coming and boating in Lake George for over 17 years and have used basically every marina. We have been coming here since they opened and would not go to any other. It is very family oriented and they make you feel like part of the family. I launch my boat and my father rents a pontoon. The staff is always right there to help. Also, little secret … they have BEST apparel in Lake George. Don't waste your time going into town -go to the dock and they have t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts with the best logo on it in Lake George, the Little Harbor logo.

This is by far the BEST boat rental on Lake George ( along with sister co. Brodies Boat Rental) We contacted a few other companies and price and customer service were the BEST by far ! Riley and staff ( Chase & Matt) we’re extremely knowledgeable about the Lake and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our day . My Husband and I got married on the Lake 31 years ago and we revisited all the spots ( LG Boat club , Canoe Island Lodge ) . The staff even offered us a ride back to our hotel as we arrived on bikes :) Little Harbor Boat Rentals exceeded our expectations, honestly no need to look elsewhere you will not be disappointed !!!

Nice little boat rental company on lake George. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. The prices seemed high for other rentals I have had but this could be expected for lake George. I was able to get a discount for paying with cash. Beware there are extra fees plus gas on top of quoted price. We got the a 19ft center Console boat which wasnt what we wanted but we rented very last minute and were very happy to be accommodated. I had one minor issue with the boat getting it into gear and it kept stalling out. After a few tries I got it running though. No depth finding or gsp which made navigation a little harder for those not great with maps. Overall I would rent here again but I would plan ahead to get the exact boat I wanted and I would bring my own tube as theirs was a very small lay flat tube that worked but not well. I much prefer a larger sitting tube.

Susan Brodie, the owner of this wonderful business was super helpful in helping us find a last minute rental and accommodating our requirements. Unlike some of the other businesses in the area that had no interest in answering questions as they were sold out of all rentals, Susan went out of her way to find us a boat despite being completely sold out for the next 3 days. The customer service was fantastic, the boats were very well maintained, and every team member was pleasant to work with. Highly recommend renting from Little Harbor Boat Rental! Next time we are in the area we will definitely be renting from no one except Little Harbor Boat Rental!

Absolutely amazing service, after distasteful, prejudice and outright exploitative “service” from C___’s M_____ (no free advertisement here) our group stopped at Little Harbor to meet the complete opposite! Absolutely amazing environment and staff, great customer service, and overall and very friendly business. The husband and wife running the place are amazing people and will do their best to get you what you’re looking (not oversell you like other marinas in the area). 10/10 would recommend!!

Such a great experience renting the 22foot bow rider from Little Harbor. Perfect boat for lake george with some skiing and wakeboarding. The staff was super friendly throughout the experience. Can't say how much I appreciate that they asked questions about my boating experience, were willing to help as much as needed, but that when I said I have run boats my whole life, they made it super quick and easy. Think from showing up with an online reservation to leaving the dock was 10 minutes. Our family had such an amazing day out on the lake.For people who have not boated a lot, Lake George is great. Things are marked well. Public docks all over the place. Some need a permit. Places to pull in and get food.Highly recommend Little Harbor and doing this.

My boat broke down on Lake George at 5 pm on a Saturday. Two very nice Vermont men towed us to Little Harbor. Unfortunately they were not equipped to care for our boat and do not have towing service. I tried calling marinas on the lake but closed. The owner and Nick however took their own boat to tow us back to Million Dollar Beach Launch… a long way to tow. Nick was an awesome rescue boat operator! So sweet. We can’t say enough about these great guys who went above and beyond to help myself and my kids get home safely!!

Staff was very polite and helpful.On Saturday we reserved our rental for Thursday but by Tuesday the forecast had changed from sunny in the mid 70s to rain all day in the mid 60s. We called on Tuesday to see if we could switch the date of our rental and without hesitation they moved our reservation to Friday. It's not often, these days, that you come across staff thats friendly, smiling and polite. This staff was all those things. The boat was in good shape and clean. What a refreshing experience.We got there, filled our a waiver, paid the rest of the rental, they explained how to operate the boat, provided us with a map, explained where we could / could not go with the boat and we were off. Check in to driving away took about 20 minutes but some of that had to do with multiple check ins at the same time as well as a gentleman that stopped by with some questions about renting. The return process was quick and simple, they helped us dock the boat, checked the motor for damage and we were done; in all less than 10 minutes.The lake is surprisingly crystal clear. There were a lot of boats on the lake but everyone was respectful of eachother.One thing we noted was they did not have anything on their website informing us if PFDs were included. We called but no one answered, I think we called before they opened because we had to call before we left our place. We assumed the PDFs were included but seeing as how it was over an hour drive for us to get there, we brought our own just in case we were wrong. Well, they have PFDs there so you don't have to bring your own.

We had a great experience with Yankee Little Harbor Boat Rentals. We rented a pontoon boat for the week in August and it was fabulous. The boat was new and the staff were exceptionally customer friendly. I have come to Lake George every summer from California (we have family there) and I find Yankee to be the best rental place I have dealt with.

After stopping at Yankee we were told they did not have any pontoons left but sent us less than a mile to their sister location, Little Harbor. Registration was easy and the staff was friendly and helpful. The boat was brand new and very nice. My two daughters first experience on a boat had an absolute blast. When we return to area, we’d gladly rent from them again!!PS 5 stars isn’t good enough....they deserve 10!

Went for a whole day on a pontoon with spouse and adult children and their significant others, as well as Sully, my daughter's human goldendoodle. From the minute we arrived until our day was over, the entire staff was extremely attentive to our needs, as well as exceptionally friendly. We explored parts of the lake we had not previously seen, as other times we had been on the southernmost part. We chose not to dock anywhere, wanting to take advantage of the great sunny boating day to laze in the sun and fish. We brought along with us coolers with food and beverages, as well as our fishing gear. It was a great way to spend quality time with family, enjoying the beauty of the lake and the Adirondacks!!Thank you to Riley, John (and for the great ice cream) and the entire staff. LHBR went above and beyond to accommodate us when we rented our 22ft Pontoon boat. Traveling with 2 children is never an easy task and Brody Sr. not only flagged us down to help with transporting all our gear to the boat but made sure we received the perfect boat for our day out on lake george. The boats were new, clean, and we had no issues while on the water. The staff was very friendly, engaging, and happy to be there. You can tell this is a very well run establishment. With all the rental places to choose from I am so happy we chose Little Harbor.

Great experience! We traveled 5 hours to rent a boat and camp on an island, but wasn't going to get there until closing. They stayed open late and took care of us. We rented a deck boat for a 5 days. Boat was in great shape and pulled a tube with 4 people on it with no problem.Absolutely will is them in the future. I just wished they had a pontoon boat with a water slide fire the kids.....

It was exactly what we wanted. The process was simple, straight forward, and no surprises. The price quoted, plus whatever gas we used, is what we paid. We rented a 20 foot boat and a double tube for tubing and it was great. We got a great briefing on good places to tube, swim, anchor, etc. The boat ran great. So, no complaints.My personal tip, download a GPS app for your phone. (I downloaded something called compass 55) and set and track your waypoints. I’d never been on this lake and it is very large. Unless you have a great sense of direction, you’re going to want to make sure you can navigate.
