They have just about everything you'd need for your lawn or garden. Nice selection of household items as well. They're a bit higher priced than the big box stores but alot closer than the big box stores. Very friendly and helpful staff as well.

I ordered a patio chair for pickup as it was one of the last places with stock. When I went to pick it up it was already assembled, which I wasn't expecting nor able to fit. The folks went above and beyond and had it delivered to my house within a few hours, and I don't live close. Service over sales any day.

I found the most beautiful storage bin at a cost I was willing to pay. The design is a Pier One Import look and quality. They had many other home decor items besides the hardware section. Ace is worth checking out!

I've had numerous opportunities to visit Evans Ace Hardware on Erie Road. Each visit has been a delight, thanks to their exceptional customer service and an extensive selection of products.On one particular visit, I was in urgent need of some gardening tools and paint for a weekend project. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by a friendly staff member who not only guided me to the gardening section but also provided valuable advice on the best tools for my needs. The variety was impressive – from basic gardening tools to specialized equipment, they had it all.Then, it was time to choose paint. Again, the staff proved incredibly helpful, assisting me in selecting the perfect shade and type for my outdoor project. I appreciated their patience and expertise, as choosing the right paint can be overwhelming with so many options available.What really stood out was their pricing. While some items were slightly more expensive compared to big box stores, I found many competitively priced products, making my shopping experience both satisfying and budget-friendly.As I headed to the checkout, I overheard another customer expressing gratitude for a special Father's Day delivery they had arranged. This level of personalized service is what sets Evans Ace Hardware apart and why I keep returning.In summary, my experiences at Evans Ace Hardware have always been positive, marked by helpful staff, a great selection of products, and a warm, community-oriented atmosphere. We live on the other end of evans so smiths is closer that being said we call ace to see if they have an item we want or need before we make the trip we like to compare prices. Anyway when you call ace you automatically get put on hold 8 minutes last time finally someone answers yo you tell them how long you have been on hold and they put you back on hold or hang up without a word i would suggest finding someone that can handle the job or at best teach them phone manners unless she's related and that job will always be held by her that being said my business will be going elsewhere

Sadly, this store doesn't honor Veteran discounts like other stores do. I suggest supporting the stores that do! This store recently responded to my review by stating that the Veteran program had been previously abused by some that weren't eligible?I have been asking for my veteran discount for 4 years. Only once was I afforded my veteran's discount, and that was only after I showed the owner the Ace main website that alerted that Ace offers the discount! He said he would check on it. Now he alerts that the program was abused?Other chain stores offer the discount after a qualifying procedure has been met.This store's employees just thank you for your service and then they inform you it's the store owners' option and he chose not to offer the veterans program.I suggest shopping where your service is rewarded with honesty and true thankfulness and not just with empty words.

I bought a floor epoxy for my garage and it was clearly listed not once but twice on the shelf at 119.I did not realize that they charge me almost twice the listed price and first thought they probably scanned it twice when my significant other was asking me how I spent so much at the store. I later looked at receipt and realize that they charge me $100 over listed sales price. I then return to store with a few mins till close and tried to talk to employees and was able to show the employees that it was listed at $119 and 20 or so boxes in that location as the price was listed twice talk at 119. The manager then said no this is wrong as one employee said we’ll the tags are from 2017 that’s crazy. It’s 2022 and I asked if they could at least give me 29 bucks off and I get we all have jobs and maybe that a lil high tk honor so would you do 29 as I went home had to come back at least for my gas money would you say that’s far the manager said nope not happening. He was very rude and said to bad not his fault when really it is his fault why would his store have a 2017 tag it’s 2022 clearly he is not doing his job if you ask me and to be rude is very confusing to me as I didn’t say hey it’s listed you got to honor that. I felt very much that this could have been taken and handled a bit more professional and that there should be a more professional type of employee dealing with situations similar to this and or any customer that would have a question or problem

Had 2 young guys accuse my friend of shoplifting, extremely rude. The employees are constantly rude, I’ve been told they had products, drive a half hour for it to be a “mistake”. Will not be going back and will never recommend anyone to go here. Not to mention they never clean. When you call you’re on hold for a extended amount of time. The cop was very nice and told us the employees were in the wrong for how they acted. Avoid this store and the employees. True value in Irving is MUCH better. Owner should look into new staff.

5/10 approx. 5pm - Called to find out the price of a service when the Ace Website directed me to this location. I called to get confirmation and hopefully to make a purchase. It all went down hill from there...the phone greetings let me know I was already in trouble...no names given (had to ask), Zero company branding... put on hold while someone fake checked, - "no we don't do that anymore".. and the reason? "because everyone kept doing it wrong"... Well at least he was right about that... Generally my experiences here have been fair to good and that is why this Experience received a 2 rather than a 1.

Overpriced , only buy out of convienence otherwise shop home depot or lowes , $86 for 3 p. t , 4 step stringers ? Lowes $58....their website says low prices , ask yourself is this a low price ?

We supported Ace a great deal during the beginning of the pandemic when no one was out shopping. My son and I go there to purchase paint. We knew the exact color we needed. And that was not the color we got after the mix. Well low and behold the day manager or whoever he is over there was as rude as can be when I left it on the counter bc I refused to buy it. He confronted my son and I about it. I told him right out...I have the right to refuse it. Well now there is a sign he put up saying it needs to be purchased even if it was then who screwed it up. I have never gone back to that location and prob never will! I also spread the word...about how we were treated by him and his so called new paint policy. The lady at the register even agreed how he was and had to apologize to me for him! FU and you need to look for another job that does not involve working with customers because clearly u don’t like them or your job!!!

It’s a great hardware store and they have those Ma & Pa only items you can’t find at big box stores. You will pay for the convenience factor just like a 7-11 every thing is over priced by 10%. Staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and polite.

Been going here since it was opened. 1/4-in x 4-ft x 8-ft Plywood Underlayment $26 and some change so I bought 2. Needed floor tile and went to Lowe's. Also needed a 3rd Underlayment the cost was 14 and change. I was outraged that trying to support a local business that they would price gouge this much. Reached out to the owner and was told that no price match will be met. Unbelievable. I hope you can put your head on your pillow knowing you lost a customer and his family members that once supported you. I am contacting the corporate office. I will get my price match. Unreal that you would price gouge your local people. You should be ashamed of yourself. Corporate account's will be closed. DO NOT GO HERE!

This place always seems to have what I need or close to it. I can walk around Lowe's or Home Depot and never seem to find what I need. I can't figure it out but Ace has it figured out. Usually equally priced also and they send you coupons.

Staff is always friendly, small numbers of generic supplies are available. If you're looking for several of a specific thing (like 4-5 100W equivalent LED bulbs that match), they won't usually have it in store.

Folks here are generally nice. I live out of state, but my in-laws love in Derby. We go here for stuff to do like projects for them. Some things are pricey, especially the gift type items. Some items are reasonable. It's New York, I find most things pricey here.
