TOPS is a great place to shop for food. This place is always clean and has a wonderful produce and meat department. In some stores you have to cook your meat right away or it will start turning brown but not TOPS their meat is so fresh if you need to wait a day or two you can.

What is up with your cashiers and being the absolute worst? I came in today to do an Instacart order and it's register 7, Joseph, who I have cashing me out. Allow me to just say, what a pathetic display. Not only was he incredibly rude, but he wasn't even keeping himself presentable! When I left the store, I tried to make a call expressing my frustration as his demeanor ruined my afternoon. Pro tip, shop at the Wegmans down the street and as for you Tops, if you want to succeed instead of constantly being under the shadow of better stores, maybe fire the people holding you back as opposed to keeping them around. It's people like Joe that are leeching your success away, innit.

So, I usually go to the Wegmans down the road, but I had to stop at the Tops here. Holy hell what a HORRIBLE decision I made today, the guy on the register (I forgot his name but he had like a tooth missing(?) so he's probably not hard to miss) was not only slow, but was also extremely unpleasant and just looked like a damn hobo! I asked him how his day was as he was looking a little glum and he just said "Do you have your store card?" And I was so taken back as to how uncaring this one was. I see all the other cashiers and they're all so nice, but this rotten apple needs to go! Another employee who was watching apologized for his poor behavior, but it's clear to me that I will NOT be coming back! I wouldn't be surprised if he's stealing from you guys, just get rid of him as his toxic demeanor is bringing down the entire store. No wonder why kids today don't wanna work, this guy is a downright disgrace to all workers everywhere. SHAME ON YOU, CASHIER!

I love the Tops water because it tastes pure and the price is great. The bakery always has fresh and fluffy donuts in the morning and afternoon but the selection slims out in the evening. The staff is always friendly and helpful whether it be checking on product in the backroom or having a name put on a birthday 🎂 cake.

Rachel, from the floral department, is amazing! She has a wonderful demeanor, and went above and beyond to help me in selection of flower arrangements that met my colorway and style requirements for my special day! I can't thank her enough! She's your gal for any floral needs!!

So this is the 2nd review I've had to leave. They took my first review down!!Placed a cake order 3 days in advance with a guy named Maverick. Had to choose a basic cake because he said he couldn't find the "kits" for the "theme" birthday cakes. Whatever. So we proceeded to choose the options for 2 basic cakes to be ready for pickup Saturday at 11am. When we arrived for pickup, we were told they have no cake order, and insisted we must have ordered it at a different location. NO! It was ordered here, at this location, with THAT GUY STANDING RIGHT THERE, NAMED MAVERICK!! He obviously never put in the order forms, and now my boys will have no cake for their party today. No apology, no customer service, no solutions offered. NOTHING. Maverick and 2 other bakery employees stood there, arms folded with little to say about the whole thing. I guess your mistake is now my problem to solve. Thank you Tops for letting my family down and ruining my kids birthday.Never again will I return to Tops. Ever.

Cody was extremely friendly and very helpful. He was returning carts on the evening I came to Top's (1/27/2023) and he came over to me and asked me if I needed help loading my groceries into my car. He then waited patiently and took my cart for me. He was so polite and considerate and was very sweet. Thank you Cody for making my shopping experience better :)

Does Tops train cashiers? Is there any sense of urgency? With anyone? So tired of waiting in line to check out while cashier is moving at a snails pace, socializing with customers as if they are out for coffee. Today was register 1 (Stephanne) ZERO urgency while my food is thawing out.. And to top it off, at least once a month I am overcharged and have to go stand in line in customer service with receipt , more time to explain, and get my refund.. I never have these issues at the other 5 places to buy groceries on that section of Transit Rd.. I think I will be frequenting them more!

I love this store! They have THE BEST glazed croissant doughnuts. The store is stocked nice and neat and they have a wide selection of everything. My bank is in there and I love the flashfoods too!

The reason why I am giving you guys 2 stars is because you're food needs seasoning the only thing that is good sometimes is ribs when u do have them ur burritos is nasty ur sandwiches are dry ur sushipieces were bigger than usual who ever s making the prepackaged food needs cooking lessons because yall food is not it yall coleslaw is dry but ur butcher meat is good

They have not changed Anything but the look of the store!!! Bathrooms are nasty and always dirty! They don't carry as much as an international store and the staff loves to stand around and talk to each other when not busy! Someone can get toilet paper and clean the bathrooms at least! They also don't sell all cold kinds of chicken pieces to warm up at home! Poor excuse for a "Friendly Market" that started as Super Duper and went through Jubilee and Martin's phases!!!

If I could give it less than a one star I most definitely would. When entering this Tops on Transit Rd Next to Denny’s, I was Extremely Disappointed in the Quality of the food being sold there. I am someone who would like at least decent produce so my family and I don’t get sick. The Produce for sale was soggy, badly bruised, there were multiple bugs flying around everything. There were mushy fruit piles with wet paper and whatever else was laying around that they could use to put vegetables and fruit on. It smelled super sour. I was disgusted. I bought 5 ears of corn on the cob that was wrapped in plastic wrap and what I thought was coated in butter, since the unwrapped corn on the cob that still needing shucking was soaked and sour smelling, I get home and go to cook the corn on the cob that I just bought the night before and it’s NOT coated in Butter!!! It’s Actually a slimy sour film that smelled like mop water and trash cans that was covering the entire inside of the package with the corn on the cob included!!! I immediately threw it in the trash! There were literally 2 shelves to each Aisle filled with food, every thing else was just broken shelves metal pieces to the shelves everywhere, the floors were sticky and disgusting, there was random food sitting open next to closed food. All the breads were old, They were out of almost everything, and the things they advertised were old and rotten. It ruined my entire experience with this place and therefore I will never ever go to TOPS FRIENDLY MARKET EVER AGAIN!!! I had one employee tell me to have a nice day! The place Looks abandoned and seriously needs help! I’ve never took the time to write a review about anything. Especially not a grocery store!! But it’s too important not to share with as much that had went wrong and as much as we hear issues with food going around lately. I won’t chance it!

They have these great deals where you buy 2 get 3 free, what's not to like? They just started expanding their Organic but it's Full Circle and they are not Cruelty Free with their cleaning products, so for me that's the only drawback. Love the store though

I have been shopping at this Tops Market on a regular basis for three years and using the self-checkout lane.Always had a good experience, until today. The woman whom was overseeing the self-check lanes must have been having a bad day but it does justify her condescending attitude towards me. I happened to have an expired coupon which was rejected by the scanner. All she had to say was, "Sorry sir, this coupon is expired." But she continued to have the nerve to tell me what the date was in what I perceived as a snippy attitude. I am 53 years old. I know what the date is. I am not senile. After I was done shopping it still bothered me so I called the manager of that Tops store. He was very professional and apologized for my experience and promised to talk to the individual. I will still shop there but if you have an unprofessional interaction with an employee, say something.

Bought a parfait from the bakery on 1/16/19. It looked like there were two freshness stickers on the parfait. The top sticker had a sell by date of 1/20/19. I peeled the top one a bit, out of curiosity. The previous sticker said sell by 1/17/19. It appears they did this to extend the time they had to sell the items.I know that the parfait is still before its original sell by date... supposedly. Who knows if that was even the first sticker or container it was put in. I know it's most likely fine.. it's just a bit sketch that they would do that. You don't really know if what you purchased is actually fresh, or when it was actually made.Just a suggestion, if you work here. You should probably peel off the original sticker if you're gonna do something like that. Really hope ya'll don't sell old stuff just to avoid being wasteful though.

Many employees not wearing their face mask correctly....were down on their neck and mouth and leaving their nose totally uncovered...UNLIKE THE EMPLOYEES AT WEGMANS UP THE STREET. When I pointed this out to a cashier, she laughed and thought she was funny. Ugh

The only thing I like about tops is that you go to Wegmans right after that. And you really see what real customer service is like. And meet people who care about there customers and getting the job done right. Great jobs Wegmans we appreciate all the hard work you all do.

Cashier I had on checking out looked as though her family was just murdered and they made her show up for work anyway.What a miserable person ,send her to charm school and take a GOOD look at how customers are treated at Wegmans.PS,the deli dept is slower then being closed!

Regular supermarket with competitive prices. They have an organic/healthy section with a variety of products at fair prices. Produce is wonderful! The ambience is a little cold otherwise, a nice place to shop 😊

When you're a Wwgmans weekly shopper like me, you're amazing how many other brands are out there other than Wegmans, and Tops has them all. I also think they have a great bakery and there sandwich hard rolls are some of the best on the planet...produce deli, seafood and meat department are just ok..

Ultra rude service.They cheat customers a lot. Marking up prices to put them on sale to make you think you're getting a deal, but you're either paying the same or possibly more.Don't ask any worker a question if you don't want to get mad because you're being ignored.Standing in line at "Customer Service" is worse than at the DMV. The clerk's chit chat with each other and roll their eyes if you ask for help.Don't buy anything fragile and get in line with a young clerk. The have their times monitored so your items can fly into the bags and get smashed.What a miserable place.

I'm not going to lie, I am a Wegmans shopper. I do, however, come to Tops when I want a variety of name brand items. Wegmans tends to sell only its own brand and maybe one other choice. They have an excellent selection of yogurt. They have a great price on bags of apples as well. I really love their Bakery, especially the pistachio muffins and the pastry hearts.

I used to always shop at Tops, but in the last several years I prefer Market in the Square. If I need something particular I go to Wegmans (Fat Free cheese or Joseph's lavash bread). Tops just doesn't draw me anymore. I have gotten my turkey for Thanksgiving there. They usually run a special where if you spend $50 the turkey is something like $.29/lb. You can't beat that!
