The cvs pharmacy is great. However the drive thru takes way too long. People who have difficult transactions that take 10-15 minutes to process should go inside. It is not fair to the people waiting in line who have quick and easy transactions.

They’re good pharmacists but this place is Very very understaffed. I don’t blame this CVS particularly but I blame CVS for closing so many stores in Albany that it’s forcing a lot of people to use this one. Therefore it becomes incredibly slow. If you come between 3-6pm you can realistically expect to wait at least 20 minutes in line for your RX.

This is a review of the Pharmacy specifically.I get all my prescriptions here, as does my family and it’s essentially seamless. I’m not saying everything is perfect all the time, but I always find the people helpful and kind. They’ve expedited when I show up early.They were quick when I walked in at 2am coming home from a trip to the ER. I seem to always be involved in bizarre scenarios and they take it in stride.Tonight I rolled in at 11pm-ish with a variety of problems and as many questions. They got my prescription filled despite the surprise drop in and they helped me get my issues sorted. The woman I spoke with did everything within her power to help me out. I wish I remembered her name for the review.I spoke with the pharmacist, and a young man at the counter and they were both professional and friendly as well.What more could you possibly ask? I mean seriously.I’m making all this a point because I’m struggling to understand some of the other reviews on here. Some people are going to complain no matter what, just ignore it.

This is where I get all my prescriptions filled. They have the option to walk in to the pharmacy or choose to do the drive through. The drive through is usually a little bit of a wait so I choose to go in slide most of the time. The staff inside are super friendly and quick. I even went a couple of days early to pick of a prescription and they expedited it on the spot and filled it for me.Edit: they have declined…. Rxs not filled on time and long waits

CVS please give these people some payroll, why is there only ever one or two people working here! It is so inadequate and the manager was frankly doing a poor job managing the queue. Her trainee was honestly much more helpful. Tried to pick up a package and it took over 15 minutes of sporadic service before I walked out because I was going to be late to work!

Kathy was my cashier on Sunday February 16 She was helpful, efficient, and courteous. I have 2 CVS accounts and have had recurring issues with what telephone number to use to take advantage of coupons and other offers. She showed me where the code on the coupon linked to the telephone number was and to which phone number it linked to.On other occasions, when I asked where items were located, she has always known where they are and has been unfailingly pleasant and friendly

Another month of overpriced medications sold to you by robot staff that is tired of hearing complaints that go into the twilight zone when you dial the 800 number. CVS fired many of their pharmacists during Covid when lines were long and staff lied to you about waiting times. Stores are rundown and filthy. The one at 839 Rt 146 is the worst in customer service.

Over the last few months the pharmacy has decreased the number of employees to the point where people actually leave its terrible customer service. On a Saturday which is a busy day there were 1 pharmacists and 1 counter clerk and one Drive through clerk And 15 people in line. It is really unacceptable to have to wait 20 minutes just to pick up a script that was ready. The prices are often better at supermarket on over the counters as well. This is where my insurance is accepted so that is the only reason I go there at all it’s sad

This CVS in Delmar was awful to me and caused me such unnecessary and totally avoidable harm. I had emergency surgery to remove my appendix the day before Thanksgiving. So when I was discharged from the hospital on Thanksgiving evening I really needed the prescriptions filled that night, but the hospital had sent the prescriptions to my regular CVS location which was closed early for the holiday. So Delmar refused to transfer those prescriptions from my regular CVS location over to their 24/7 CVS pharmacy location. I tried calling Delmar myself and then the nurse at the hospital was kind enough to call them himself, but to no avail, they wouldn't do it and for no stated reason whatsoever! As a result, I was in excruciating pain all that night and through to the next morning when my local, regular CVS opened. I didn't have to suffer like a dog with no pain meds after surgery; this could have been easily avoided if only the pharmacist in Delmar would have done their job. Again, they gave neither me, nor the nurse from the hospital who had called on my behalf, any reason why they wouldn't simply transfer my prescriptions from one closed CVS location to another open one. (This type of prescription transfer within CVS is very common protocol and which I've had done many times in the past for both myself and my children).

Have not shopped I the pharmacy in ten years plus due to the attitude of workers in pharmacy. No control. I could tell you story after story. Main store manager is wonderful also workers. See for yourself. A couple are good handing out scripts. Big store too, surprised no changes have been made.

Rude cashier at front of store. 1 cashier in middle of the day. Wouldn't have minded but it appeared that she was determined to be deliberately cold and snappy. I was polite and one of my purchases rang up as 9.99 when it clearly stated on the place where I got it that it was 4.99. Her answer was to ask for a phone number as if I were looking for the discount. I explained that 4.99 was listed where the product was hanging and she asked for the phone # again. I gave it to her and she said "it's not on sale". I was late for work so I didn't wait for the price check and just cancelled the sale of that item. The store is neat and tidy but I'm thinking that some of the personnel should be sent to charm school! Won't be shopping in that store again!

Rude rude rude. I was checking out 4 items in the self check out and this cvs employee kept looking at me up and down making me feel very uncomfortable I thought cvs was all about giving social distance space she was practically breathing down my neck. and acting like I stoled something. and she kept saying push the buttons I am.pushing them I am just reading to make sure my cvs discount got applied. Super rude.

The staff are very rude. A pharmacist filled the wrong med. she said I had to pay. Then I couldn’t use my insurance to get the correct med filled. I told her I would report her. Changed pharmacies.

I found the cashier and manager to very rude at this CVS. When while shopping there the cashier left me waiting in the que for several minutes while she felt it was more important to restock the candy shelf. When I proceed with my purchase the cashier then gave me attitude when I questioned the bill because the sign had said one of the items was two for one. She snapped that I did not have a CVS card and she wasn't going to give me the sales price. Given all that had transpired I left without my purchase. I then choose to call the manager Diana who upon learning of the issue choose to solve it by hanging up on me. I am quite supprised by this because all my dealings with the corporate office have been positive. All in all I will never go back.

I used this pharmacy off and on for my family for the past 12 years. Never had an issue recently. My name had changed a few months ago. When I received my new prescription insurance card, I stopped by to update at the pharmacy. They changed in their computer. I had surgery and my dr sent in a script for narcotic pain meds. It was sent in under the correct name. The pharmacy took it upon themselves to change it back. I almost did not get my medication for after surgery cause they did not fill it under the proper name. I called the pharmacy to inquire what the problem was. The person had to drive 1/2 hour back to the pharmacy to pick up my medication. This was also a narcotic medication. Isn't it illegal to fill a narcotic under a different name according to the state of NY. Yes it is, and they continued to do so for the remainder of my post operative time. This was not the only time. Every time I had tried to fill any of my medications they kept changing the name. I spoke to the supervisor every time and told them stop changing my name, my insurance is under the correct name. This happened about 6 times when I try to fill my thyroid medication. I got a text that I had a refill ready for pick up. went there. nope, nothing was there for me to pick up. I showed them the text I got on my phone "Oh, I don't know" is the only response I get from that place. I transferred my scripts to another pharmacy. They are too busy, and mistakes are being made

This store is the best.I always come in here & everyone is so friendly, even the workers on the overnight shift! They always come up to me and ask me if I need any help and when I do they are so helpful and kind to me. I think the last worker who helped me find an item around the store was named Crystal. She was so sweet and nice. Will be returning again!

Followed around the store, then asked if I need help while she stood and watch me look at literally waters, i felt racially profiled and felt forced to buy. She was nice afterwards but from the moment I entered the store she was eyeing me like i was a criminal. Doesn’t sit right in my soul and made me feel extremely vulnerable.

On July 30th I visited the 260 Delaware Ave store I really was in desperate need for a prescription that was called in for my son .He has pancreatic cancer and was suffering from opioid constipation it was a injection.the pharmacy couldn’t get it for me until Monday the script called for pre authorization so I had to pay out of pocket.the young girl took her time to search out what store had it ,thank god there was one in Troy she stayed on the line with the Troy store to make sure we were going to have what we needed plus got us a coupon to help us out. I don’t know her name but you have one young admirable Mr Mr. & mrs Anthony Losavio

I've been embarrassed in the check out line at the Delmar CVS for the last time. The self-checkout machines there are ridiculous, and the customer is forced to try to use one, since there is only one human working a register. The three machines (if they can ever get them all working at the same time) should all work in the same way -- not one for card only, one for cash, one closed, and all with cheap looking paper signs taped on that are supposed to tell the customer which is which. The check-out situation at the Delmar CVS is absurd. I'll return as a customer after I've heard that they have it figured out.

Everytume i have a script sent from the doctor, or am picking one up inevitably this pharmacy completely screws things up. Once they didn't take my discount off. I was told they needed to process it, it would be ready in 10 minutes and they would call or send a text msg when ready. The pharmacist proceeded to re-process the entire script again as if it were a new one, opening the bottle, recounting the pills etc instead of adjusting the discounted price in the computer as the CVS in Kinderhook had done in the past if there was a new associate working.. A half an hour later waiting in the chair next to the counter, I decided to find out the status. ( by now I am late for work ) I stood in a 10 minutes line again to find out it had been ready for 15 minutes and they forgot to tell me. This is just one example of the ongoing problems with this location. I just moved to Delmar from Kinderhook, an almost flawless location. I have decided to no longer use this location and see if the other CVS in Delmar is more competent.

How is possible your web page shows a medicine in stock at this location 24 hours open. I went to the store and you don’t have it... really bad customer service...the pharmacy department wasn't care to have this medicine, do something to get it or advice and just the staff were continued talking each other

My wife was using photo machine which had some issues! Clerk in front of store was not very helpful and rude!! CVS should monitor how there employees treat people. This lady was middle aged and had a ponytail if that helps.THANKS FOR YOU'RE TIME!

In the Pharmacy dept...Always uncooperative. Always a problem. They are Always overwhelmed and unprepared. A shining example of why we miss the local pharmacy.I've seen seniors (not me) thoroughly frustrated with these people..STAY AWAY FROM THIS PHARMACY!!!

Their phone tree is the absolute worst I have ever experienced. I wanted to talk to a pharmacist but that was impossible.
