Today was our first time at Pet Supplies Plus, and the selection was filled with a surplus of variety! The staff & community shoppers were all so kind, and we had fun strolling down the isles to try a few new things and some of our classic favorites. Recently I have been finding myself shopping Pets Supplies Plus (Deer Park) for my cat and Betta Fish needs. All because of my positive experiences. Today spoke with shift supervisor Hanna. I was blown away by her knowledge of Betta and other compatable fish. I had several questions and she was a huge help. She even invited me back to see the new delivery of Betta varieties coming in later that afternoon. With every visit I have experienced an employee interaction also with others (Jason, Wilson and Melissa) as well. I feel like days of yesteryear when employees actually enjoyed helping customers. I'm sure the other staffers not mentioned are also great assets to Pets Supplies Plus. This is a really nice store. Thanks everyone!

We worked with Wilson on changing the dog food for our 2 dogs. He was very knowledgeable and helped us make the best decision for our fur babies. We appreciate his expertise and his kindness as he carried the heavy bags of dog food to our car. Great Service !

Great selection, friendly staff. Dog food is fresh, as indicated by package labels. Bags are in great condition, they do minimum handling between pallet and shelf.

Loved that they have a big selection of wear gear. They're well stocked overall. I have a Pet Supply near me & they fall very short. I have to drive a half hour to get to Commack but totally worth it.

This specific location was empty. Limited selections to choose from. They are also a little bit pricey. The bag I got for my puppy is too small, and if I'm being honest, it's a bit too far to take it back for an exchange. I'll either a. Sell it or b. Use it as a toy carrier for my lil guy.

I was at the Commack Pet Supplies Plus location Thursday August 11th and I have to say Ashley was so sweet. She asked about my pets and was genuinely interested. Two other employees helped me locate everything I needed. It was such a nice experience, I will definitely shop here for all of my pets needs from now on.

I am sorry to say that there were grain bugs in the cat food that I bought. When I told the person who said that she was a supervisor , she said that they had taken care of this already. Obviously not because it was very distressing & not easy to get rid of .

It's a nice place, yesterday i got supplies for my pet fish here, they have a large space in the back with a shopping cart with cat supplies in the corner, they had no booklets left for my type of fish, I was kinda disappointed about that, but still ok. 🙂

Ashley is Awesome. Her attitude and understanding of pet owners anxiety is so helpful. She is a true asset to your team. I wish my employees had a more warm welcoming and attitude she has!!! She will surely be a manager one day! If not for pet supplies then for my business. Lol Go Ashley You Rock!

I always love this store. They don’t always have everything, but the employees make it five star anyway. Knowledgeable, friendly, and compassionate, they always help me find what I need, or tell me how to get it. Most of my cat’s favorite things are from there, like her cat tree (she had 2 prior from chewy), her most loved bed, her favorite toys, and more. I always feel more than welcome. Was a loyal customer when I lived 25 minutes away, and now I’m even closer!

Karen keeps a clean store with latest merchandise. Can't say enough about Ashley. Young lady went way beyond helpful. Put 40 lb bags of food not only in cart but in my car too with wonderful attitude. She's a "keeper"

I have been coming to this store for many years now. I love almost everyone in this store. Everyone for the most part is super friendly. No complaints with the exception of one employee there, Morgan Higgins. Her customer service skills are terrible.

Every time I try to buy bird food from here, there's almost always an issue that, at this point, seems intentional. I'm familiar with the pricing of different bulk bird foods. The last 3 times I went there, I was overcharged for the food. 2 times the weight was entered wrong (15 lbs was entered instead of 5 lbs) and today the wrong food code was entered. I told the cashier the 5 digit number of the food I got (40106 weighing at 5.5 lbs), and still the wrong one was entered. The food i get costs around $1.40 per pound, and I was charged for another 5 digit bird food that costs $3.68 a lb. I was there for 10 minutes telling the guy this. He tells me the binder with the different 5 digit codes for the bulk bird food does not contain the price per pound, so there was no way to verify (the price wasn't present on the bird food display as well for some reason). I decided to pay since I didn't want to waste more time. When I got the chance to check the receipt, I see that the wrong Code was entered for the food. This place may have less issues for those who owns cats and dogs.Update (9/7/21):Issues with bird food continues. Now it comes with tiny live beetlesUpdate (9/8/21)I spoke with the woman at the register about the tiny beetles present in the bird food. She sterilized the vacuum seal tight container I had the food in, and gave me bird food that wasn't tainted. I'm glad this was settled in a timely manner, and with a good attitude! I just hope the bulk bird seed can be in better seal tight containers so that this doesn't happen again, but only time will tell. I will give 5 stars once I see no issues with the bulk bird seed.

We love this place and have been getting food for our parakeets from here for the last 4 years. Our pets simply love their food. The store items are very reasonably priced. Foods are of great quality. We're always concerned about our parrots feathers and their health and pet supplies is our one stop shop for our pet's needs. You'll most likely find some feathered friend on your visit to this place. Very enjoyable experience!

Do not Bring your cat here to VIPPetcare for shots they sell you packages offering a lot stuff that they do not apply on your cat and they charge you for it. They Don't like when you ask questions and If you do they give you an attitude they just want your money on repetitive visits they never checked the vitals on my cat and charged me for it twice. I will never bring my cat here again they're a bunch of crooks!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was recently given a pair of Guinea pigs. I started to shop here for all of their supplies and things they need. This store is always clean and organized. Mia is also very professional, very helpful and friendly. When I got the Guinea pigs I didn't know anything about them. She actually help me shop to find the best stuff they need. I did find some of the stuff I needed for them but I couldn't find the specific body wash they need to us, so I just ordered that online for them.. she also help sign me up for they're store card so I can receive discounts &,coupons. I do have fish however That I need to buy many goldfish & feeders for they don't seem to have them as often as they should. So I usually go some place else for that. But otherwise I am really happy with this place And I will continue To shop here for all of my Guinea pigs needs and supplies.
