Unfortunately, it doesn't look like this store gets enough business to keep their food from going bad. I spent just over an hour trying to find food there that was worth buying and only seen one other person come and go. The freezer section was extremely overstocked and half of the food was not frozen. A Lot of meat items were noticeably freezer burnt and turning colors. Meets in the cooler sections were Brown and looked old. I didn't want to risk buying anything that could make us sick so I did not buy any meats at all. The bread was noticeably not fresh and the store smelled weird. We ended up only getting a few canned goods and some seasonings because I didn't trust that the other items would be good to buy. I wish I could say this was a store that I would return to because there's not much out here, but I won't. I really think that they're just not getting enough business. The cashier was friendly but I could tell that they weren't used to being busy. I bought $60 worth of food and he called for help to cash me out when he seen us get behind the only other person in the store who barely had anything.

Some good deals and prices. Great place to stop in a pinch for camping. Especially on T-bone and Porterhouse steaks. $16 for 3 steaks, however after cooking on the grill they are very tough. My opinion you get what you pay for. Wont buy again...The employees were very polite and helpful however.

Decided to grab 3 gallons of milk and two cans of coffee. Very grateful that this store participates with getupside. Because I saved 8% and have already received my refund through the app

If you know how to "grocery shop," and don't want to travel outside of the Dansville area, certain food items such as meats and dairy choices are priced considerably higher in larger chain stores such as Wegmans and Tops. Save-a-lot, since their remodeling, has not only lower prices but just as much eye appealing product quality as those bigger stores. I buy alot of strip, delmonico, t-bone and porterhouse steaks here. Like any meat purchase, knowing how to season and cook meats helps in tenderizing. I don't have any "toughness" palate problems with save a lot meats.

A lot has been done to improve the store. Still needs some updates as it's a old building. Prices are better there than at the other store in town

Staff is so helpful and kind! Thank you for trying to help me find my wallet even though it ended up being in my car! They saved my order and my cart of groceries so I was able to pay easily after I found it. Made my experience stress free and had a nice laugh about it.

The store was clean and well stocked. We were part of the after church rush at check out, but they opened two more aisles to get customers out quickly. Appreciated the excellent customer service.

I used to love sav a lot to "save alot", they were great on prices. Nobody could beat their prices.. Quite honestly their meat has increased in pricing tremendously and their prices on everything else including produce is either the same price or more pricey than Walmart. I'm sorry Sav A Lot, I used to come here for the family budget prices and now I have no reason to come here over walmart and Aldis. I know covid has changed our economy as well as food costing more however, it doesn't change the fact that even now in the competitive supermarket industry, Walmart and Aldis has better pricing than you. Let's get back to the competitive pricing. Your store was once a high demand in my household

The store was clean and organized and has friendly employees.As I was walking in yesterday, a couple had a small to medium sized dog they brought in to the store IN the shopping cart. Really, if it's an emotional support dog or guide dog I believe it should be on THE FLOOR not in the cart where other people will be placing their food afterwards.Maybe there should be a label or tag attached to the cart to prevent this from happening - like: "keep your dog on the FLOOR not in our cart" thank you!Think about it!

This store is good if you are on a tight budget. It has most things you will need for groceries. There isn't a big selection,but they do good on the weekly prices of meats. If you aren't on a tight budget it might not be the grocery store for you

We primarily go for the meat. Best quality meat and even better when you consider the price. Clean and well stocked store, recently renovated. Should be part of your weekly grocery trip!

Used to come to this chain for the best bags of Orange Chicken and General Tso but they discontinued the items so now I have no reason to shop here anymore.

Save A Lot was the only store that had butterball turkey sausage. They no longer have them. They are so good. I hope they bring them back

It was ok but still not the Mt Morris store. Mt Morris store carried a few cheese products and pastry items that the other don't carry.
