McCall Wines has a very laid back tasting room that is essentially an old barn amidst their vines. There is a large lawn area with picnic tables as they also have events. These include music festivals, wine dinners, and the day we were there, they were having burger night which seems very popular since they said it had sold out a number of weeks before. As one of the oldest wineries, very polished and well made wines. We really enjoyed our tasting and highly recommend doing here. They know their stuff here!

Excellent, high quality wines served in an intimate atmosphere. In addition to simply enjoying the wine (and buying a couple of cases), we appreciated their focus on environmental stewardship and the ethical treatment of their cattle. If you are a meat-eater who also cares about animal well-being, buy your beef here.

Made reservations and had a great night at burger night. The burgers are good quality meat served very simple with just cheese and bun. The chocolate chip cookies were worth it.

First time visit at Burger night on Friday night. Had a great relaxing time, an excellent burger and fries, and fabulous service. Highly recommend. We are going to try and get back before they end it around Columbus Day or so.

Review pre covid:Bottom line: beautiful grounds. Flavorful wines.Gluten line: my wife thanks God daily that wine is gluten free. No available GF snacks though.Long line: stopped here shortly and enjoyed the suggested sampling. Normal price for the area. Wines were on par with region and well balanced. We enjoyed ourselves but didn't feel compelled to buy a bottle to go. To be fair, this was just the first stop in a tour. Would go back if in the area and recommend a stop.

Really great outdoor seating and atmosphere. Wine is delightful and they do have snacks you can purchase. Would recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Looks like the inside of a barn. Can get crowded but the grounds are fairly big. The bar is small. Wine is fairly good. Staff is friendly.

Dropped in to buy a few bottles and was blown away by the staff! Everyone was overly accommodating and friendly. I wish I could have stayed and had a glass to enjoy the atmosphere and the stellar wine! I will be back!

Small and quaint. Cool stable looking dine-in area. Informal picnic tables outside to sip and enjoy the day. No outside food allowed-boo. Staff knowledgeable.

Extremely rude service from the greeting host. She verbatim said the second we walked in, "I just need you to know it's now $40 per person minimum and MANDATORY 20% gratuity. Ok?" Can we sit down and order first? Never ever coming again. Did she assume we can't pay? Or maybe it was the baby? At the end I confronted her, but she apologized in such an insincere way. Come to Macari instead.

Pleasant outdoor winery experience! They have burger night on Friday (I would suggest making a reservation). The Pinot Noir & Rose were both good; but the burgers stole the show! Absolutely delicious!! Plenty of space outside and family friendly.

Hands down my favorite vineyard in the Northfork. Their estate is lush and they let customers walk the grounds. The Pinot is my favorite (and their award winner). The interior is just as beautiful as the grounds. I cannot wait to go back!

For the best wines on the North Fork, this is the place. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, especially if you get the opportunity to speak with Mr McCall himself.PS if you like red meat, don't forget to pick some up as well.

After visiting a few crowded wineries (it was a Memorial day weekend) we came here and were pleasantly surprised how nice, peaceful and quiet it was. By this time we were already hungry, and non of the other vineyards offered any food. So, we were really happy to get a great cheese platter and a glass of nice Rosè wine with it. Definitely will come back.

This is a great place to bring friends as the McCall family is usually personally on hand to explain how they make their wines, which years had better grapes that others, and more. The casual and rustic setting in a renovated potato barn is charming. While this is one of the smaller wineries on the North Fork, they have won more than their share of Awards including New York State Winery of the Year. I have been back several times, and this is the first winery I bring my friends to when they visit the North Fork and want winery tours.

Wine was very good. Ambiance was nice.Prices aren't listed for bottles. So don't act pretentious when i ask the price. Whenever we asked, our waitress acted rude to our group. Also, our waitress rarely ever came around to check on us. A lot of eye rolling by our waitress for varying reasons throughout our visit.

Edit: 3 years passed and we decided to give this place another chance, so to speak. Came here yesterday and again the same thing happens - went inside and were told to go take a seat, the server will be right with us. 20 minutes of waiting we decided to leave and will most definitely never be back.Quite disappointed with McCall's. Called ahaead and was told reservation is not needed. Came by, walked into to the tasting room where we were given 2 empty glasses, were ordered to sit outside and wait for a server. 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes, almost 25. Patience left us and so did we. No service. Mind you, it was not busy. There were about 8 tables filled, but they all had their wine. We did see the server come out, but it was just to grab a few empty glasses..

On my most recent trip to wine country, my husband and I made a point to try new wineries. And boy are we glad we did. The wine here is stellar and the bread and olive oil is a match made in heaven

The best winery on the east end. Fully sustainable vineyard and every wine is meticulously created. It isn't easy growing Pinot Noir and they produce delicious Pinot. They also raise Charolais Beef on the farm. The staff is very knowledgable, friendly and attentive. And the tasting room has a friendly, relaxed vibe.

We had a great time chatting with the owners. The wine was awesome! The whole place is super cute! Then we saw them out to eat and we couldn't get an uber. They drive us home. Such awesome people! I cant wait to return and see them again!!!!!

There are quite a few truly exceptional wineries out on the North Fork, and this is hands-down the best. What the tasting barn lacks in polish and ambiance, it makes up with the friendliness and knowledge of the staff, and the amazing wines they pour. It's a rustic setting that might underwhelm you on first approach, but it works so well with the honesty in the bottle and the genuine people working there.McCall understands that a young wine, while drinkable isn't necessarily what people want. Few people have the patience or space to lay a bottle down for 3-5 years, so they do it, releasing wines just as their reaching the start of their best drinkable years. And they do continue to age well. 10-15 year old reds are still improving. They have a multi-tiered wine club with a small membership, and while I definitely prefer some wines to others, they have not made a wine that I couldn't appreciate. In addition to wine, McCall has a herd of cattle and farm raised beef is available for sale.If you like wine, McCall should be a mandatory stop on the North Fork wine trail.

This is a quaint low key place...very friendly staff and very knowledgeable about their wines.....my husband and I made reservations for 11 am on Sunday and stayed for 90 wonderful relaxing minutes and ended buying 6 bottles of their merlot (one we drank at the table)..if you want a quiet time with your spouse or low key with a small group. I highly recommend this place...
