I have been going to this store for over 20 summers while staying at the campsite. Great new ownership, friendly and helpful. The store has been revived and it's great too see. Great food trucks outside. My only issue is the blowup LGBT unicorn in front of the store. I just want to go away on vacation in the woods and not be welcomed by this. Let's keep the Adirondacks and the US a place that supports all groups but don't need flags or blowups to remind us.

There isn't much this far off the beaten path. If you forget something, at least we have the General Store. There have been a couple of bad reviews involving the service here. I have found over my many visits here that you get what you bring. If you are super nice, the energy is returned. If you come in with city slicker attitude, that is what you will get too. They have a cute gift shop. They have essentials. More importantly, they have homemade cookies that are to die for!!! I highly recommend the Peanut Butter Cup cookies. They have become a tradition for our family. Hoping the new owners keep the tradition alive!

Great store. Produce is always fresh. Sandwiches are delicious. Ice cream helpings are huge. Beer is ice cold. Always seems to have the thing I need for camping, fishing, boating and cooking. The fresh baked cookies are so good. Sue, the owner, always finds a way to make me laugh. Thank you for being awesome.

Disappointed. Rented a kayak for $40 for the day. 9 am till 5 pm. Picked up at 9 but within 3 hours it was pouring raining. Called to ask if she would consider letting me return it and then use it again for a few hours the next day if it wasn’t raining. Absolutely not. “I can’t control mother nature”. Very inflexible. What would it have hurt them.? The kayaks were all just laying in the sand with few rentals. All just about making money. What a small kindness it would have been to be flexible and give me a few more of my paid for 8 hours another day. Will never go back.

Thought this would be a nice store to stop into while staying at Cranberry Lake State Park, as it's the only one in town and the next is 15 minutes both ways. Absolutely terrible service. The woman working was rude to my entire family and myself on any occasion we went in the store. Acted like she was disgusted we were in her store. If we asked her a question about rentals or places around, she treated us like we should have already known and continuously told us her store was the only place to purchase things like firewood (which it was not). I would give this place a negative rating if I could. Spend your money in the many other Adirondack towns with people who are friendly, pleasant, and help make your trip enjoyable.

Great store! Almost anything you’d need last minute for a camping trip. An attached liquor store next door and Adorable gift shop in the back too. They sell Ice and Propane Tank Exchanges. There is also a few gas pumps! Love the place, love the convenience!Sue is just the best!!! :)

Truly a general store, I think they have almost one of everything you could think of, from milk and eggs, to an axe, to tarps, to fresh bakery items, to fishing supplies. Not sure if they have jiffy pop, if not, that needs to get fixed.Staff were very nice to chat with, definitely will go out of our way to go here first.

Gifts/souvenirs are mainly either cheesy, overpriced, or just eh - BUT - they have a GREAT knife selection and most any kind of (food) provisions you might want, plus an open-seven-days liquor store! Staff is friendly and helpful!

The older woman working there is a bit rude but it is either deal with her or drive 15-20 mins to a different store. The ribeye steaks here were very good on the grill.

They have some fixture and they have the necessities in food staples. Definitely saved us the 40 minute drive to the closetest grocery store.

I have been camping in the Adirondacks since 1972, and have never seen a camp store so well equipped! Everything you need including long lasting block ice, and store baked Raspberry cookies to DIE for!

We rented 5 kayaks here. $40 each for the day, not too shabby price wise. We were fine until we were a couple miles out on the lake and 2 of us were sinking. The drain holes in two of our kayaks were not plugged. I had to jump out on a rock, drain mine and try to get back to shore while my partner flipped her kayak to get out and luckily a passerby helped her. We mentioned it to the lady at the desk and she said "you should have chose a different kayak" these should be checked thoroughly before letting people rent them! $200 and an hour later we had a wet workout instead of a nice kayak trip.

Real nice people and while your up that way, you will want to stop in, say HI, and grab what you need. Few and far miles are in between. Great company that pretty much will have what you are looking for

Made reservation for canoe ahead of time . Had a 2 hour drive to get there at 9am and when I arrived the older lady was very rude saying she rented it to someone else . Wouldn't recommend doing business with this lady
