I never realized how much furniture this place has for sale. Not sure of the quality but it all seemed like good quality products. Im sure that when I get a new apartment I will shop here to do some of my furnishing. They also had quite a big food section which was stocked well and as always their electronics are multiple and make you want to purchase whether you need one or not. Lol. Pleasantly surprised by my experience at Big Lots in Cortland.

I went into the store this morning and there was a girl with glasses named gaylene cashing me out. She was absolutely rude and threw my items on the counter and never gave me my receipt. Her manager walked around with a mug look as well. Whatever is happening to these people at home should stay at home!

Big Lots has stepped their game up. Nice new items. The Manager working during my last visit was helpful. He actually seemed to care about the customer unlike the previous woman whom was the Manager, she says.

As soon as I walked in the door, a young lady was more than kind and immediately greeted me and asked if she could help direct me to anything. More than pleasant, the prices are always very good here. Even the man cleaning the floors with a machine was very cautious not to disturb you while looking at products. Even checking out the cashier was still extremely positive and well knowledgeable in all aspects here. My only issue was that she was unable to receive a cash tip for her excellent service, which I understand. I was very happy with my experience here and won't be the last that's for sure.

Up and down with these guys. I like to shop clearance, and there were 3 of the same item, no price tag, I grabbed 1, explained there were no prices avail. Cashier went and looked, then paged someone else to do the same. I couldnt get the small item til they could get a price, so I left w/out. Why couldnt the manager come up with a price for me. It wasnt worth more than $2

I wasn't in the Cortland Big lots long yesterday.. but long enough along with there other items of merchandise to be dazzled by their Christmas displays containing trees all decked out with lights, outdoor displays containing everything from deer to Santa and a sleigh, penguins etc one all kinds of ornaments. I could not resist some of the glittery objects. This part of the store up front was like Santa's workshop. I do shop on and off here at the store and find all kinds of merchandise. The old expression from soup to nuts certainly fits it's variety of merchandise and very clean interior and has very courteous sales people and managers. One really nice feature is the furniture that is sold there.. well come here yourself and check out Cortland New York's Big Lots . You will not regret it!

The customer service here is top notch! Our family came in to get one item. We all came in together, my toddler, infant, husband and I. We didn't bring a carrier or the car seat because we were just getting one thing. We of course ended up seeing others we could not pass up and a customer service representative saw us with our hands full and offered to get us a cart. Then he asked if we needed help finding anything else, gave us his name and said if we think I anything else to let him know. He asked how old our son was since he was so small. It was really heart warming to feel welcome and supported when buying home items. We will come again for our next purchases. Thank you, Big Lots! You made us feel like valued customers.

Good place for cheap furniture. Love going when they have sales. Got twin serta mattresses for 99$ a piece. Their comforter sets are nice as well.

I seem to forget how great this place is. Legit everything in there. Furniture, food, clothing and everything else! It's pretty much like an Aldi but for everything else. I have purchased things from there that are exactly what i needed, and for a price that doesn't break the wallet. Granted it might be discounted items, but the quality and quantity are really good.

I've been having issues finding a decent place to rent furniture and I heard that Big Lots has rent to own options. So I hopped on my bike and went to check it out. I got to the store and asked for information about this rent to own option and the cashier called the manager down. His name was Dallas (hard to forget because that's also my brother's name lol) and he was really nice and super professional! He walked with me to the back of the store and got me set up to fill out the rental application online. He was very helpful and asked me if I had any questions. I said no and that I was all set. So I started filling out the application and he stold me he would be back to check o me in a few minutes. The application process was pretty easy and I got approved instantly! So I took a picture of the approval incase the computer went wonky because that's my luck with computers lol. And just as I finished the application, the manager came back to check on me. I told him that I got approved but I dont get paid til Friday. He said that's fine, just show the cashier the proof of approval (it has a special alphanumeric code) when I'm ready to start renting. Dallas was very professional with me and very knowledgeable. Big lots knew what they were doing when they made this man a manager!

I usually love Big Lots and have always gotten great deals on closeouts there but now they're becoming too mainstream and pulling typical marketing gimmics like slowly raising prices, not placing price stickers on items or shelving. They've also cut way back on Covid safety practices

I went there to buy two separate beds. And the employee helping me acted like it was an inconvenience for him. When I'm spending $1,000, or close to I expect to be treated like a valued customer

Very good service. Customer representatives were eager to help me find what I was looking for, and also asked me to call them by name if I needed anything else. Also, bathrooms always seem to be clean.

We don't have many department stores here so big lots fills in with it's assortment of many things from a tarp or bag of dog food, box of cereal and milk or an outfit for going out. Had a bit of this and that .

This store sells a junk Chinese propane fire pit, it breaks within 2 months and 3 uses. They won't do anything but have us call the manufacturer who after 4 months still said that the parts see not available and to call Big Lots because they should replace the whole unit. Big Lots then is very rude and basically tells us to go jump off a cliff, that it's not their problem.No one should ever buy anything from this store.

Whilst I have no issue with the purchases I've made over the years at Big Lots in Cortland, today's visit was unsettling.Three of the five employees we encountered in the store - all male, and one the manager- were not wearing masks. To clarify the manager had one on, but it was only over his mouth... the other two had they wrapped under their chin!The lack of leadership shows...
