Fortunately, all of the negative reviews are true. The quality that they have are not great. I have been to the store a couple of times and had a great experience the first few times.. last week I went there and spent a large amount of money on three large fish… within 24 hours of bringing them in my tank. The one fish that we thought looked a little weird completely killed the entire tank. It had a disease! when I respectfully message them They did nothing but criticize and try to blame me and be disrespectful about how my tank looked and try to say my tank looks nasty for the reason why they died… my tank is completely clear and water checked on a weekly basis. I am not going to be disrespectful, but just because they are the cheapest on the island does not mean the quality of their fish is great. We are extremely sad about our fish passing. They take zero responsibility.. and not only that they are just completely disrespectful and trying to downgrade their customers because they had a fish that was sick and they sold it. Mind you like I told the them I can go on and on about the quality of fish in the store. Such as their Oscars … 2 Oscars were missing eyes had blood all over them, and we’re floating trying to hang onto their life such as many more fish.. but I really try to be really respectful when I messaged them so sad.

Iv been going here a couple years. Haven’t had that many problems but I noticed they get the fish and they are for sale right away. No guarantine time. He has many dead fish or dying fish and never takes them out. Well he had what I wanted. Prices are not bad. But this is before I knew he doesnt quarantine new stock and after a week the four fish I got died. Plus the entire tank died from ich. One by one over 1500 in fish dead. I will never go here again nor ever recommend them

Terrible place highly recommend you go somewhere else I went to go ask the owner a question about a problem I was having With my coral He literally told me not today buddy and walked straight away from me then I’m looking around the store every single coral he has in his shop are literally dying, skeleton, showing pest and parasites On everything I wouldn’t tell my worst enemy to go to this place The people working in This place do not even have knowledge. Please do not waste your time going here. They literally are trash. I’ve been to every fish location possibly on Long Island. By far. This is the worst place I’ve ever ever been in my life.

Once was an awesome location. Now it’s nothing but fish on deaths bed, swimming along with fish that are already dead. The owner I believe is no longer a fan of the hobby, or tired of many nagging customers. Whatever it is that caused it doesn’t really matter. If you wanna get a pet fish for your kid to teach them about life and death. This experience will be strictly about death for the poor lil fish life expectancy isn’t long coming from here

I feel so bad for the fish!! Many fish were either drop dead on the floor, were ill, or rotting!! I even saw a bunch of fish eating the SKELETONS of other fish!! Almost all of the tanks had FULL WALLS OF MOLD. Sure they have cheap prices, but they will spread illness in your tank!! The staff members also shoved me multiple times bumping me into tanks which was not very pleasant. I would say come to this store for supplies but not for fish!!

This place hasn’t changed much in the years I’ve been going. Kinda dark, cramped and dated interior but that’s fine. They have a good fish selection and any supplies you could need. Stop in and go home with a new addition to your tank. I know I can’t resist.

I’ve been using this store for a few months spent thousands of dollars here on new tank, salt, stand fish ect. I asked the older guy to test my water was my first encounter with him right away rude refused i explained I just bought the whole thing here he finally did it. I gave them another chance bought a fish yesterday at 4pm work up at 7 fish was dead. I brought the fish back right away older guy rude told me he’s not replacing it that he fed it for us for 2 weeks I said you fed it till I bought it died less then 24 hrs later. The costumer service is just horrible! I did like them in the beginning but now to find a new fish store because of how rude I was treated not once but twice!

There comes a time where you know you should retire.. employees useless..rude..owner busting his a$$..doing all the work..tanks sometimes great ..sometimes dead fish floating every where..it isn't dons fault ..man knows his fish ..but the store needs to be condemned every time it gets humid German roaches overtake the place ..tanks and systems are old..fish excellent..so do not take any thing that isn't a fish in a bag where roaches can hitch a ride on you..

I love this store! I am a new owner of a salt water fish tank and everytime I go in the workers are more than happy to answer my questions and assist with what fish I should get or stay away from. I have bought fish from other stores that unfortunately pass, my longest living fish always come from here. I rarely ever lose a fish and if I do its because my aggressive fish kill it off. I’m extremely happy with the quality of the fish and service I would highly recommend 😁

Beginner fish tank owner -- went and bought some guppies and asked for advice. Showed my water test results, which had no/low ammonia, nitrites, but "high" nitrate level (10-20ppm) and was informed to remove some of my live plants. Additionally, showed pics of some algae on my rocks, and they sold me some Chinese Algae Eaters.Researching post-purchase, realize CAE is wrong for my small tank. Removing plants did nothing -- realized my tap was at 10-20ppm nitrate level...Lots of selection though.. On the fence of whether to go back; feel like I have to know exactly what i want.

This is by far the best aquarium store I have ever visited. Prices are great, knowledgable staff, and the product organization is very easy to navigate. Seriously, anything you could possibly need is located here, and it is easy to get to. It's either exit 64 or 65 on the LIE north (CR-111), down a couple miles on the right and you're there. Great fish selection too. Some of the species I have never seen in person before. Check it out <(^.^<) <(^.^<)

Awesome pricing, very helpful staff and a large array of fish, both freshwater and saltwater. All the fish are in pretty nice tanks with appropiate substrates and they very typically are very healthy. I've never had issues with any of the fish, snails and plants I have ever bought from them. I have also been able to rehome fish for either credit/donation depending on the situation. Always helpful, always good prices and the fish have nice tanks compared to other local fish stores.

One of my favorite Long Island aquarium fish stores. Great pricing with lots of varieties. Some stuff are overly priced but overall they got good deals. Don the owner knows his stuff. Been coming for years.

they sold me sick fish (ich) and now I have to treat my entire eco system within less than 24 hrs of purchase. I didn't realize it until I added them in my tank.owner was very rude and wouldn't refund. horrible customer service. do not shop here if you care about your tank!! they definitely lost my business and I won't be recommending them to anyone else I know.

Kind of like a prison for fish but they have a lot of them. Good variety of food. The employees are helpful. I wouldn't buy anything not food or fish from there unless I needed it right away because the prices online a bit better.

Ever since I set up my new tank this has been the store I've visited for my supplies. Their prices are great, the staff is super helpful, their selection is awesome, and the fish I've gotten from them have consistently been super healthy. I drive by nearly half a dozen pet stores to reach this one and I've never been let down!
