Beautiful campground and super friendly staff! They had a band while we were there and a chicken BBQ. The band played for several hours and sounded really great. The pool was freezing but we can't complain (it was memorial day weekend in upstate NY). Would definitely stay here again!

The campground is well run by a friendly family that is willing to help. My group was escorted to our site and even had some help from the staff locating wood for our fire that evening. The tent site we had was spacious and offered us flexibility as well. The shower house was remodeled in the winter of 2019 and was very clean.I recommend getting there early in the day to get the best pick of sites for tent camping.

Outstanding new owners and support staff. What an upgrade!! Thanks for all the improvements, investments and superb customer service. It is an outstanding place for families, kids and baseball fans of all ages. The amenities are super for a campground and the entire park is well taking care of.

Before you read further, please be aware that this review is based on previous stays and previous owners. My family and I were longtime campers to this place since it first opened in the early 80s under the Ringwood Farms Campground moniker. I have visited or camped here for more than 30 years and it was a place of many special memories. The grounds were well kept under the original owners and maintained with such pride. However, after the extended family took it over it suffered greatly. My family members maintained seasonal sites even after the sale to a husband and wife a few years ago. We even went back and camped ourselves but it simply wasn't the same. The owners couldn't quite keep the grounds looking nice and longtime campers continued to leave. My family members have sinced moved out and my connection to camping or visiting here has unfortunately reached its conclusion. Best of luck to the new owners at Deer Run. I hope you are able to return this place back to a respectable campground that the original owners worked so hard to establish and allow for campers both young and old to have a place that will shape their many family memories for years to come. All the best wishes.

This campground has recently come under new management and is excellent. The staff was amazing. The grounds were well kept and conditions were very clean in all buildings. Close to attractions in Cooperstown. I recommend this campground to everyone who wants to experience a well-maintained and fun-filled camping adventure.

Beautiful, clean, incredible hospitality! Family owned and operated property; the grounds keeper, Tom, does a great job making guests feel welcome and safe! New bathhouse with hot showers, gorgeous views and wildlife. Just a 10 minute drive from Glimmerglass State Park and downtown Cooperstown. I encourage you to go with the highest recommendation!

We stayed for a week after Labor Day in September 2019 (after the back to school rush when most families vacated). Although we didn't need it for our truck camper and cargo trailer set-up, we had a nice pull-through site which made things super easy to set-up and vacate. There wasn't much site privacy. However, there also was little activity around us so it all worked out fine. The long distance views were nice, road noise was barely audible and the star studded night sky was amazing. If it were up to me, I'd start a program to plant more greenery between sites and to block critical lines of sight but then we love trees and prefer more private settings. The campground itself was clean and quiet despite being all gravel roads which were relatively flat and well maintained. Very little activity throughout the grounds and in fact, it took us a day or two to actually connect with the main office to square up our account although one of the owners (Keith) was there to greet us on arrival and show us to our site.Overall, the owners (yes they are younger) are welcoming, polite and attentive to our needs. We had ice and firewood delivered right to our site ... in fact Keith insisted on prepping our fire set-up for us (he used a teepee vs. log cabin approach) so that all we had to do is put a match to it and presto! Washrooms were clean and well serviced. You could tell they are putting time, money and work into the infrastructure ... and still have things on their to-do list. The pool looked awesome, but we were aware it would not be opened past Labor Day. Maybe next time.Wi-Fi is only accessible when sitting outside the office door area ... I'd install a signal amplifier so the Wi-Fi signal reached all of the park's sites. This is a must have for us as we are still "working" even when we take vacations. Also, I had no mobile phone signal ... at all! This is a cell provider issue ... not the campground's issue but I thought I'd mention it in case it is a must have for people. We had to go into town to send and receive messages and calls.Overall, our RV camping experience was a positive one and we have no hesitation in recommending Cooperstown Deer Run Campground and RV Park. It was pretty much what we had hoped for and the owners, and the park itself certainly met and in some cases exceeded our expectations.

1st off the owners are easy to talk to and accommodating as heck. I understand that they recently took the place over and are working hard to bring it back to great. I had the chance to speak to some season site holders. They are thrilled with the new ownership. We had a very peaceful and enjoyable stay. So much that we're headed back Labor Day weekend.

My family spent a great summer here!!!We spent the whole season- from May to Sept, and left with tears!!!!It felt like home! It became home! The owners make you feel like family. You feel very safe. Everything is very well maintained, bathrooms are always very clean. Showers and laundry rooms are also very clean!!!They have 2 bathroom/shower/laundry buildings, you never have to wait.Grass is alvays cut by the very nice and helpful guy who helps the owners to operate camp. He will be there any time you need anything- like jumper to start your car -lol- or he will deliver you ice or firewood. It’s very kids friendly, they have a playground, kids ride bikes safely around camp, play with creatures on the pond.Hopefully, they will fix a pool. But- the location is soooo perfect- you are basically staying on beautiful Lake Otsego and the best kept secret- Three Mile Point Park- where you swim, paddle, lay on the beach, have a picnic or barbecue- is a few miles away. There is so much to do around. Make sure to visit Fairy Springs, the Waterfalls, Gilbert Lake, Howe Caverns, Secret Caverns, Saratoga Spa State Park, Ausable Chasm. There are lots of organic, grass fed, raw milk and so on farmers around, as well as pick your own farms and farm stands are everywhere.Food is very affordable. Amish farms are around. We enjoyed visiting Historic Orthodox Holly Trinity Monastery with their Last Days of Tzar Museum.Oh, I could write and write...It was really a great summer, thank you, Deer Run Campground, I hope, we can come back again!!!

Very friendly. Everything at campsite worked well. Pool, bathrooms, and laundry were clean and in working order. They've added propane filling and rates are reasonably for the 4th of July weekend.

I highly recommend this peaceful, quiet, clean and well maintained RV Park located a few miles from Cooperstown, NY. - in the beautiful countryside. Sites are level, spacious and include a picnic table & fire ring. This is a well run family owned and operated park. Melinda welcomed us and was so helpful with her knowledge of all the things to do in the area. We would definitely stay here again. We are traveling in a 25’ trailer & truck - the space was more than enough room.
