We have been looking for a seasonal site for close to 2 years. We just happened upon this Conesus Lake Campgrounds and hit the lotto with this family owned gem. When touring many of the seasonal campers had very positive reviews of the current owners. Just the last few weeks we have seen many new improvements. The paved portions of the roads are very nice. It adds a sense of quality lacking in some other places. The camp store is very reasonable in the pricing. Every employee so far has been helpful and personable.

From the genuine welcome when we arrived to the grateful checkout, we had an excellent stay! Two workers took us to our site and helped us back in without our asking and they didn't make us feel stupid as they coached us. There was a pool with a lifeguard which I find unusual and wonderful for a campground. Every member of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, as were the seasonal campers. Fellow campers seemed to follow the rules and everyone was in bed by 10pm! My family enjoys a quiet camping experience and this was it. Also, the bathrooms seemed newly renovated and were clean and well-kept. One of our best camping experiences ever at Conesus Lake Campground!

Friendly and helpful staff. Many of the campers are seasonal and have been coming there for many years and know each other. We were there Monday through Friday and the staff worked hard to make sure the campground looked great. Most of the sites were full hook-up. The campground is on a hill, so most of the regulars have golf carts to get around. Would definitely go there again.

We always have a great time at the campground. The bathrooms are incredibly clean. The hill is steep so we rented a golf cart to get around the campground. All of the staff were extremely pleasant. They have a camp store which had every day items you would need but the prices were kind of high. We will be coming back next year!

We had such a great time at this campground. Our site was perfect. The bathrooms were spotless, they clean them several times throughout the day. You do not have to pay for the shower as previous review said. They have plenty of activities. We chose to Kayak and had a blast. This campground was well above my expectations. We will definitely go back.

Lots of activities for all ages!Kayaks, paddle boards, and pontoon boat rentals with a nice lakefront area. They have an indoor heated pool with a jump pad and Gaga ball pit nearby. There is also a nature trail with a small disc golf course. My kids liked the playgrounds and ping pong table. The store has a nice selection of camping and general merchandise. We had a great time, and we plan to come back soon.

Great place across from lake. The docks are nice & staff is friendly. The pool is terrific! The Cabin beds are tough to get a good night sleep so bring plenty of cushions. Its great that the 2 cabin rentals are close to the RR area yet the lighting at night is not too bright. (be sure to bring your flashlight to the campsite!)great for young families & definitely will return for cottage upfront!

Had a great time here. All the staff was friendly & helpful, especially Bill who was awesome. We rented one of their pontoon boats and had great day on the lake. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing place to stay and enjoy boating, this is a wonderful campground.

We are tent campers, and this campground is definitely centered on RVs. The tent sites do not have much privacy, and parents should know that quiet time doesn't begin until 11, extremely late for our crew. The first night we were there, people seemed to be joy-riding in circles in their rented golf carts and making tremendous amounts of noise well after 10 pm.A big problem right now is that there is a terrible infestation of some sort of caterpillar (gypsy moths?). They're EVERYWHERE in incredible numbers, and everything we set down for more than a couple of minutes inevitably collected frass (caterpillar poop), including the food we were eating. They crawled up our legs whenever we sat down. We worked hard to get them off everything so we wouldn't bring them home, but we've already found them in our car, so...yikes.On the other hand, the campground is in a beautiful area and has some nice features. Playgrounds (admittedly with aging equipment), a well-stocked store, a covered pool, reasonably clean bathrooms (with very weird hand soap), great views, etc. The staff were great. I will never stay here again in a tent, but RVers will probably enjoy themselves, provided they have a covered awning under which to eat.

We spent 3 nights here with our 2 and 4 year olds and 3 other families. The hill getting into the campground is very intimidating, especially since you need to stop and check in. We checked in at the same time as another family in our group and it was tough to park on the hill while we checked in. I can't imagine what it would be like on a Friday at check-in time. Our sites were nice (top of the hill) and spacious. The pool was nice, as was the jump pad. It really stinks, though, that the place is on such a hill because it really isolates you to one area (golf cart rentals were pricey, IMO). We would have liked to have explored the other playground but we sure as heck weren't walking there and it wasn't worth loading the kids up in the truck and driving down. Staff was friendly and it is overall a nice campground.

The campsite is situated on a hill. Having said, you need some power to get up the hill with your camper hitched. It's a pretty campground, great sunset views off the lake. The campsite is not directly on the lake but has easy access. Staff is friendly and they have firewood, ice and small store on site. They also have Golf carts for rental.

If i could give it 0 stars I would.Sites are not level....its camping on a hillside....if you have a big 5th wheel or class A its very tough getting up to campsites...probably ok for pop ups or tents...coming down I needed to put in 4 low and had to turn up the gain in my brake controller to 10...just to make sure I wouldn't skid down. Its so bad...and it rained all weekend (not their fault) however the draining was terrible. Its a big mud slide when raining....you have been warned. Staff is friendly but unfortunately we will not revisit.

Super nice owners. Well kept grounds. People complain about the hill but there's no reason to since there is a mostly paved road for you to drive up and down. Golf carts or your vehicle. Nice general store with snacks, camping essentials and nice little souvenirs! There is a swimming pool, playground, jump pad, ball pit, kayak rentals, 6 hole mini frisbee golf! Constantly upgrading too!

I enjoyed staying here. They have a pool and additional activities for the kids. The campgrounds were clean and well maintain. The staff and grounds crew were all very pleasant to deal with. I will definitely be returning next year!

Very rules and restrictions oriented!!! Cabin was clean and had microwave, mini fridge with flap door open freezer and an air conditioning (heating) unit that worked well. Restrooms were not well maintained, there was a dead snail on the bathroom floor for almost 2 days and with COVID frequent touch areas like this should be cleaned more often. Pool is almost fully enclosed and rules are no toys no horseplay and must enter and exit at the stairs which basically leaves swimming laps but pool is roped at middle making that difficult. Lake area was mucky and smelly with dead fish floating at the shoreline but grassy area next to it was well maintained with nice seating. Basketball area was 1/2 a court which would be ok but backboard was a piece of plywood and extremely wobbly, had no net and not regulation. This place seems good for older adults without kids or young adults.

Good Campground. This specific campground was nice and had many amenities to be noted, including Daily Activities, Covered Pool(wasn’t heated despite the fact that is was supposed to be, but that might be because it was just opening for the season so it may be warmer later in the season), jump pad and GaGa ball. In the front office there is also a store Incase you forgot something. The sites are average size. Some sites are just water and electricity hookup while others have Water electricity capable TV and sewer hookups but the rates vary depending on the site you book. The lake is off property right across the street and there is a kayak launch there too! The reason for the 4 star review is the fact that this campground is located right on a HUGE hill and despite that’s not there fault it was very annoying to have to walk up a huge hill to get to anything. The other thing is the fact that the showers by the pool were so HOT I couldn’t stand under them for more than 1 second and the pool not being heated as I stated before. The overall experience is Good! We

This is a really good campground to take your family and to go on weekend vacations. Our kids enjoy the pool the playgrounds the lake in the golf carts, especially the golf carts! Only down part about the campground was climbing Mount Everest with your truck and trailer to get to your camp spot. When I say Mount Everest I really mean straight up to the sky.

We have been camping here for 10 years or so. We always look forward to it and being so close to the lake. There are many activities for families, kids, and adults. There is a swimming pool, playground, kayaks, and frisbee gold course. They are continuously making improvements to the campground and the public restrooms and showers are always clean. Great place to get away!

Great staff! We rented the pontoon boat, the kids paddle boarded and kayaked and has a great time! Reasonably priced and the gold carts made everything easily accessible 🙂 We can't wait to go back!

We believed that there was a beach and more lake access then there is. The seasonal people were not friendly at all, like we were invading their space, our young son while swimming choked on water and puked some mucus in the pool and not one person asked if he was ok, not the pool monitor or manager when he came up to clean the pool he seemed as though he was put out by this. We will never go back to this campground ever, and as far as refunds go, Yes we would love a refund for the wasted time and gas this was our worst camping trip ever. But we know that it's pointless to ask for a refund because you can tell by the people running the show thats how they are, our kids were so upset and disappointed by the lack of activities they were asking to go home. And the drunk people driving around on golf carts almost hit our truck, this happened a couple of times throughout the evening into the night. The people here seemed to have very little to no patience at all, it's just sad that we wasted a weekend camping at a place like this.

Very quiet place, however, apparently, our six-year-old tv was not compatible with their cable service, as told to us by an employee, so we had no television all week. People who work here are very nice and the location suited our needs nicely.

Over this past weekend, my sister came up from Georgia to visit. As I live on the lake and love to be out kayaking, this was an activity planned for the whole family. We chose to rent the extra kayaks we needed (we had 6/10) from this campground because it was local and fairly priced. I called Friday morning to see what was available and spoke to a rude woman, but got the information needed. The call cut out so I attempted to call back to apologize for the abrupt ending but no answer. I sent the address to my sister so she could pick the rentals up and meet me at my house. I got a call from her saying that they had to be launched there per policy, fair enough, so they unloaded them and came to pick up the others so we could all launch together. When I got there my sister was speaking to a polite woman who asked for a drivers license to hold for the rentals. My sister handed over her license and phone number, not a problem. The lady wished us a great time and we were off! Then she returned with another woman who charged at us like we were robbing her, demanding to have our car keys because we could just leave the license behind. My sister calmly explains to her that she will not hand over her rental car keys, they are from out of state and there were too many valuables they were traveling with for her to feel comfortable leaving her keys behind. We offered her personal keys for her house, personal car, my car keys (though I did not drive there) other IDs, etc. The crude woman's response was not even slightly compromising. She yelled that we could take our business else where,! With every suggestion we made, trying to let my sister keep her keys, the lady retorted that we should just leave, acting like we were trying to make off with these kayaks! Now, at this point we have 5 adults and 5 kids geared up to kayak on the lake and 6 kayaks that we OWN unloaded and ready to go. And not that it should matter but we were in new vehicles with probably $2,000 worth of kayaks on a trailer, we are clean, hard working, respectable people and this judgement we received was appalling. It takes my Aunt who didn't even rent a kayak to put all of her valuables into my sisters rental and hand over her car keys. The lady had the audacity to even question why we would bring valuables in our cars to begin with! As she tests the "beeper" to insure we aren't lying to her about those being the car keys, she finally lets us launch. As we exited the water 3 hours later, we were watched like hawks until everything was paid and returned. (The deposit is upfront, you pay additional hours after) Then and only then did we get treated with a smile. If it were not for kids waiting to go, we would of taken our business elsewhere. Next time, we most definitely will.

Very quiet park, check in people are very nice and helpful, all staff were great. Yes it's a big hill, but the peace and quiet makes you forget the hill. Will gladly go again, but will reserve a golf cart to get around. Lol. Great prices too!! I cannot forget the seasonal campers that stay there, they were very nice and friendly and make you feel welcome

Nice campground, makes a great basecamp to see Conesus as well as surrounding finger lakes. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, a bit steep.for walking down to the lake, but didnt bother us. We did a lot of sightseeing so drove down anyways. We stayed all the way up top in a tent site and had the place to ourselves!

Super nice staff. Super crowded. Lots of full-time campers. Really have it all packed in tight, so not much privacy or view. Does have an indoor pool. They charge for showers, unless you use the nice shower next to the laundry.

I will go out on a limb and say that all the glowing reviews were most probably written by either staff or friends, maybe even by some of their less than friendly seasonal folks. We paid for full hook up and only got water and electric. The sewer hookup was on the other side of the camper and up hill...not how water flows. I was told that I could try cable, but it probably wouldn't work and that wasn't a lie, it did not. The seasonal folks were rude, there were dogs barking constantly, and the restroom in the upper part of the campground was a trailer. All of the bath houses seemed to be locked up for some reason. I could continue on, but then it just turns into a negative rant. This is the 16th different campground that we have stayed and the first time I have written a negative review. This was not a positive experience.

Stayed here recently (tent camped), with myself, my girlfriend, and her daughter.Pros:TONS of stuff to do for kids. Jump pad, pool, playgrounds, all decently kept and easily accessible. The mining bag setup was particularly a hit.Having electric and water at most sites was also a great help, especially for CPap users.Wi-fi was spotty, but to be expected when covering such a large area/so many people (i list wi-fi as a pro in spite of this, because it was still accessible for music, which is what i cared about.Staff was very niceCamp store was well stockedBathrooms were easily accesible and reasonably well kept. Showers were warm (always a plus)Lake access is a plus, though we did not take advantage of it this tripCons:The sites are right on top of one another - no real separation at all.Gypsy Moths were EVERYWHERE, could not escape themCampground is VERY hilly, rent one of the golf carts if not able to walk hills very well.No real areas for biking - mostly due to steepnessWood was a little pricey for my liking - they have it, but stop at a local stand before you get there and get more for less.Poison ivy in some of the back bush - be careful woods hiking. All in all, a pretty decent trip. We had great neighbors on one side, and a domestic dispute on the other, so this is where my critique of the site layouts comes in. The only real thing that would/will keep me from coming back is the gypsy moths, tbh.

Excellent campground. I will be sure to reserve a golf cart when we go again. Walking back from the lake, up a very steep hill, was exhausting. The pool was great.

Stay away!! they took my money and I did not stay there. We had to make travel changes due to COVID-19 so we could not stay there. I tried to cancel and get a refund and they refused. Appalling during this time. Campground is OK, pretty dated. Staff is really rude. Stay someplace else.
