Unprofessional and Unhelpful Staff at Commack PetSmartMy experience at the Commack PetSmart grooming salon was far below the exceptional service I've received at the Riverhead location. The groomers were noticeably unfriendly. Upon entering, their conversation stopped abruptly,creating an unwelcome atmosphere.The salon itself lacked cleanliness with pee puddle obstacle course on the floor. When I inquired about a bath for my puppy, the price was significantly higher than what I'm accustomed to at Riverhead. When I politely questioned the price difference, a groomer with Red hair made a rude remark "TELL THEM TO GO TO PETCO!”, laughed before walking away dismissively. This unprofessional and disrespectful behavior was shocking, especially considering her previous comment about another dog seemed equally discourteous. We left without using their services and deeply disappointed by the entire experience. I regret not reporting this to the manager but was so shocked and upset I left since I had really nothing nice to say after that and didn’t want to make a scene. They really need to retrain this lady or don’t bother working in a customer facing business. I want to share this and hope no one else experience the same.

Always has my cats food and litter in stock, right by the parkway so it's super convenient or me. Staff is always friendly to me and the prices are good so it's my go to pet store. I always stop to see the cats just to say hi, I always feel bad that I can't take them home with me as I already have 2.

Absolutely cannot thank Demo and Christine for the wonderful grooming job they do with my pup, Beau! They always make us feel so welcomed and are amazingly patient with us. Beau always comes out looking amazing and can’t stop smiling! Always going to keep returning for them!

Goody and the whole team did a wonderful job as always. Brought my malamute in his full blown out shedding but when I got him back, his ears are all well cleaned, nails are cut, his fur is so smooth and looking so fluffy and well brushed. I loved this scent after his pampering. Never got dissappointed. Thanks a lot Goody! Til our next grooming appointment. :)

They have a decent selection of products in the store, and more options for dog food than you could possibly ever need in a lifetime even if you owned a kennel. But their prices are a bit saltier than their national competitor that's just a stone's throw down the street. They do seem to offer other services though like a pet hospital, grooming and training, which I'm sure are nice bonuses for some people who need them.

Bought my dog here to get groomed, who I let the groomers know & it was on his profile that he gets anxious & can be muzzled when it comes to cutting his nails. Then came to find out my dog who has never snapped at ANY groomer since going to pet smart has been blocked from booking services. They then threatened a family member who picked up my terrified dog that I needed “to call and speak to someone immediately”. Lol. How unprofessional!Should’ve listened to friends & family who told me to avoid from inexperienced groomers who’ve injured their pets. Take your pets elsewhere, PLEASE! My poor dog is traumatized now being bathed.

I love the grooming salon here. The people who work here are amazing. They groom my seven huskies!! They always fit me in at the last minute, which is amazing. The manager is the best! Since having multiple dogs, they always try to fit them in around the same time together, which is extremely convenient and helpful, especially since I have three small little kids as well. We are definitely a full family and love using PetSmart grooming for our grooming needs!

This location annoys me. Would give 1.5 stars if I could. They are frequently out of stock on several items. Primarily, some types of dently's bagged treats and the in the "chew" section that houses single wrapped bones, pig ears and bully sticks ect.. they are almost always out of several different kinds or literally have a single one left that is a mutant runt of a bone that nobody else wanted. I included a picture of the area when it was so well stocked I was stunned and texted the pic to my equally shocked husband. That is a rare occasion. Worse yet, the prices are all over the place, they frequently have sale tags up that they DO NOT honor at the register. They simply say the sale ended, too bad for you. Sometimes they say "oh, that sale was over weeks ago!". Seeing as how the circular is a monthly deal, I find it hard to believe you don't have time to take the sale signs down. I try to watch the scanner but I almost always find an item on my receipt that was marked $2.99 but I was charged $5.99 ect. I bring my dog here because, let's face it, there aren't many places dogs are allowed inside and my girl loves it here. She'll start crying and shaking in the parking lot, just dying to get inside. One of her favorite things are when she gets a cookie at the register. Same reason she loves to drive through dairy barn, just to get that cheap little milk bone biscuit that she'd probably snub if I gave her at home. She is a large breed, 75 pounds and she will sit at the register waiting for that tiny biscuit, you can't miss her, she's bigger than most kids. 9 out of 10 times they hand you the receipt, having ignored the large dog the entire time, and start scanning the next person. I will ask them... "Excuse me, but she loves to get that little biscuit. Can she please have one?" And 9 out of 10 times they look put out, like they're paying for that biscuit out of their own paycheck and it's solid gold. I spend no less than $45 every time I checkout and I come in nearly every week. If you can't give my dog a 2 cent biscuit without looking disgusted then you're in the wrong line of work. One time a woman even tried to act like she didn't know what I was talking about "......What biscuit? A milkbone? Huh?" The people at dairy barn give her a few biscuits and tell her she's a good girl.. the dairy barn people are better with pets than these people are! Also, the location is difficult to leave from. The parking lot is RIGHT before the light for the intersection. Making a left you have to hope the turn lane is empty or you'll sit there for several minutes. The good aspects are from the overall company: the variety of pet food, the rewards system and the fact that the app allows you to use the occasional coupon, coupled with the rewards, saves me about $15 a month.

The facility is very clean and the staff knowledgeable. I was confident that my Baby would be well taken care of during her 1 day stay. There is someone with the pets overnight. WE will be returning in February when she will stay for longer.

The communication in this store leaves a lot to be desired. I purchased 4 private training sessions with my pet, and last Friday, I tried to call to set up a training session. I'm always told, "I'll take your number and have someone call you back."The problem is that I never get a call back. I called three times (last Friday, Wednesday, and this Friday), and each time I'm told someone will call me back.At this point, I've given up on this store. The training conditions for the dogs are not ideal. The training room is way too hot (no air conditioning) and adjacent to their kennel, which has dogs barking all the time. The training room also has wall to ceiling glass, which allows the dogs to be distracted by shoppers constantly.I called the store when they opened up this morning again to inquire if I had an appointment. Again, I left my number and waited to be called back. I finally got a call back at 10:15 am to tell me I had an 11:00am. appointment. I canceled it because there's no way I could have made it there on time. It's ridiculous that someone couldn't tell me this on my prior calls.I called Petsmart once again and asked to speak to a manager. I told the manager of all the issues I had. I had a full refund shortly thereafter.I will not be bringing my dog back for training. I will find a certified trainer instead.

Very very expensive. Otherwise the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. All of the Banfield Pet Hospital veterinarians and technicians are amazing loving caring people. Makes the high product prices of Petsmart that less of a big deal.They all love Emperor Balloon and he loves all of them.

Amazing staff! I had an issue where my dog got her leash clip stuck in her paw. Dimo and Christine were AMAZING help. They could have easily stayed out of it, but instead they decided to help. I am forever grateful for their kindness.

Always bring my Cockapoo in for grooming here. We’ve tried so many grommers but they are by far the best! I always trust them to do a great job with her, and she actually LIKES going now! They are fast and friendly and safe and take such good care of my girl!

The aquatics department does not look super attractive. However, the customer service rep is very very knowledgeable with tropical fish. I received so much information from him, it was worth more than the value of the fish . I didn't know that Bettas are super territorial and will only cohabitate with other female Bettas of the same variant. He informed me of the consequences of aggressive Bettas mixed with other fish. The Bettas I bought (one male, two females) are healthy and active. It was a total head trip.

We bring our Grayson to their Commack PetHotel Doggy Daycare. The staff are wonderful, and Grayson loves going. He even had his birthday party celebration there with his other dog friends. The Staff took great care to make his day very special. Prices are very reasonable. Their Daycare has made Grayson a very confident and social dog. I love their program and their staff. It's a Great experience! Wish I could give 10 stars ❤️ 💕 🐾❤️

We come here mainly for the grooming salon. It is one of the few places around that has cat groomers (in addition to working on dogs, of course...I recommend groomers Demo and Jaime). It's a large store that also has a pet hotel and doggy day camp. The store carries a large variety of brands for pet supplies. It's a large, spacious store and you can bring your pets into the store.
