The Buffalo Ski Center, located in Colden, NY, is a notable skiing destination in the Buffalo area. The center encompasses three ski areas: Sitzmarker Ski Club, Ski Tamarack, and Buffalo Ski Club, covering 300 acres. It is situated on Route 240 in Colden, just outside West Falls, making it conveniently accessible from the Buffalo metropolitan area. The center is approximately 25 miles south of Buffalo city and about 15 miles east of Lake Erie, positioning it in a snow-rich region of Western NY.Offering 43 trails, the center caters to a wide range of skill levels, from beginners to experts. To support the varied terrain, it is equipped with two chair lifts, two t-bars, and two handle lifts. The presence of clubs at each base adds to the facility's comfort and accessibility for skiers and riders.Notably, the Buffalo Ski Center is recognized for being both family-friendly and affordable. Its proximity to the city and comprehensive amenities make it an attractive destination for families looking to enjoy skiing and snowboarding.Overall, the Buffalo Ski Center presents a comprehensive skiing experience with diverse trails and modern facilities, all within easy reach of the Buffalo metropolitan area.

This was the first year we were members. As an experienced snowboarder I would not suggest this mountain. It is more geared to skiers. Only a couple of chair lifts the rest are all handle tow or t bars. I order to get from one side of the mountain to others you need to traverse, not a snowboarders favorite activity. I would say that the snow management has a lot to be desired, snow guns never seemed to have any strategy, just randomly pointed and left to run all day. Many trails had never been groomed. I feel that the weather would make or break the mountain. Bad snow year and you could be disappointed, good snow year and you could be riding till April. With all that being said the mountain is great for beginners and families. There is a real sense of community. Great trails for beginners. Very friendly and patient instructors.

Been calling for days, left a message and texted as the voicemail has said to do, and nobody responds back. I'm sure there's plenty of other ski resorts in the vicinity that want my money

This is a fantastic family Ski Club. Everyone is very friendly and it is a relaxed atmosphere. You can bring your own food and beverages and not be concerned that someone's going to steal your stuff. What it may lack in Social excitement for teenagers it makes up for in a caring safe family atmosphere. I recommend it highly.

First year members at BSC for me and my family of 5 (kids 4,4, and 6 yo). We have had a great first year thus far and will have no hesitation continuing our membership next year. The instructors have met above expectations for our kids in the adventure and mountain ranger programs, always addressing our kids by their names, with enthusiasm and encouragement. Our 6 year old started w zero experience and after 5 lesson down, he is rocking the chair lift and having a blast! The child care in the adventure room has also been fabulous! So helpful to parents of wee ones learning and allowing parents a little adult time on the slopes! This is a wonderful family friendly ski center.

Buffalo Ski Center is the nicest place! Such a great facility to take families. Mark Page the manager does a great job of making sure all is running smoothly. we had one small issue and he graciously made everything alright. All the staff are smiley and helpful, comforting to not be at a big scary facility. Thanks for such a warming experience =)

Have the trial membership this year as only my husband had skied before. Kids and I just completed the Rangers lessons and I cannot be happier with them! As an adult, taking lessons was intimidating (and I seem to have a much greater fear than my children lol), but all of the instructors are understanding, patient, and wonderful! My kids love theirs, too! BSC provides a true family feel. Though I understand why, my only wish is that Buffalo area could make snow to be open more. Still 5 stars in my book. Great place with a super friendly atmosphere.

My Family were members here in the 70's and 80's. After some knee injuries, I just started skiing here again in 2020 . Decent prices for non members. My favorite place is the Buffalo area, but the Buffalo area is only open on weekends when there is enough snow. Closest place to ski near Buffalo. Just a private ski club with some nice slopes when open . I don't think they make snow on all their hills ? Would be nice to have all the hills open more often, but I am sure that would be expensive. Still my favorite place to ski in Western NY . Would like to see packages (10 pack) for non members and maybe the food service open more hours. Great place for skiing, but no bars or restaurants, not a resort. (They have restaurants nearby in Colden )

Great family ski hill. Choice of lodges. Not crowded. Tamarack lodge has a small kitchen with limited but will do menu. Bring your own lunch and beer/wine very acceptable. Nice beginners hill.

Went snowboarding here for the first time on the night of Jan 18th. Pretty good conditions and very friendly people and employees. Seems like a great place for a beginner skier or snowbaorder to learn but also has some difficult trails. Will definitely be going back when I want to get out for a few hours but don't want to take a long drive.

My Family has skied here for years, The runs are prefect for everyone from beginners to experts; Also the members compared to many other ski clubs they are some the friendliest people who will meet. Plus there is a either a major event or a band playing every weekend.

There is not many people which is a huge bonus since you don't have to wait in lines. There are lots of hills and most are big. There is a hill for everyone even if they are beginners or experts

Nice chill place. Super long bunny hill that you can walk up for free if your not shelling out for lift tickets to the big hills. Nice laid back environment though.
