First time visiting Cold Spring and our stay at Pig Hill made the entire experience absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived we felt so welcomed (shoutout to the innkeeper, Dave!!) and the inn itself was so quaint and cozy and truly felt like a home away from home. The location right in the middle of Main Street + within walking distance to parks and trails was unbeatable and our room was so comfortable and spacious with such unique decor and great views of Main Street and the Hudson Highlands. Vera and her entire team were so lovely and personable and we were truly sad to be leaving when our trip came to an end. Already looking forward to our next stay!

This was our second time at the pig hill inn and we love it! Vera and staff are such lovely & personable people. This past week I had the pleasure of proposing to my partner in the Victorian Conservancy - Vera was so helpful & kind throughout the entire planning. Love the unique, cozy rooms & the breakfast is delicious. We will be back many more times ♥️

A lovely midwinter getaway from the city. The Pig Hill Inn had lovely hospitality, an old-timey feel, great (included) breakfast and overall just excellent value. The Inn is right on Main St., perfectly situated between the Cold Spring Metro stop and the other shops/restaurants/attractions of the town. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return some day :)Rooms: The room was clean, tidy, and charming. Each room is uniquely its own, which is such a cute touch.

we had a lovely winter weekend at the pig hill inn. you can't beat the location, the friendliness of the staff at breakfast and the coziness of the lobby when a fire is roaring. i highly recommend renting one of the rooms with a jacuzzi tub for an even better stay! fyi: prepare for an old fashioned b&b experience: the rooms are a bit outdated in a charming way (but might not be the case for everyone) and there are no tvs in the room.

Very charming bed and breakfast with a great location. The building is beautiful. It's a historic building and it definitely shows its age, but in a good way. It's got plenty of personality you wouldn't get at more "standard" hotel. Lots of cool antique furniture, and I think even the floors are original. The service was generally very good. We missed one day/night of our reservation due to flooding in our location. The trains were literally not running and as we do not have a car there was no way for us to get there. The inn owner accommodated us getting there a day late and even offered a voucher for the day we missed which we really appreciated. We had just taken that day as a loss and were happy to get there at all, never asked for a refund or voucher so this was a nice surprise. We asked if it was possible to check out an hour or two late so we could spend some extra time in Cold Springs since we missed a day, and this request was accommodated as well which was appreciated. Everyone on the staff we interacted with was kind and respectful. They put out an apple pie around the middle of the afternoon which was really tasty. I think here is some sort of baked good every afternoon. The complimentary breakfast the next day was very good - there was so much food I barely finished. A comparable breakfast in the area would probably cost at least $25 a person if not more. The breakfast was served in their "Victorian Conservatory" which was gorgeous as well. The room we had was pretty nice. The beds were large and comfortable although the quality of the bed linens was a little lacking. The pillows were not really comfortable. Not the best, but you stay at a historic B&B for the personality, not a spotless sterile experience. There are no televisions or extraneous modern creature comforts like a mini-fridge but I consider this a plus, makes for a more quaint experience. There was a misunderstanding about something but the owner called us to clear it up which was appreciated. Overall it was a good experience.Walkability: Right on Main Street, next to all the boutique shops and antique stores, literally just feet from the Cold Spring train station.

My husband and I have been staying at the Inn for many years and for the life of me have never written a review since our stays have been nothing short of exceptional. Vera, the owner, is extraordinary. She is a wonderful person who will go out of her way to make you feel very special. The Inn is quaint, comfortable and your stay will feel like home. Dave, who is Vera's right hand man and cooks a great breakfast, and the staff are an extension of Vera's warmth and hospitality. We have enjoyed every moment of our day we have been at the Inn because of Vera's friendliness and her ability to make your stay a great experience.

My family and I spent a night. We were greeted warmly straight away. The Inn Keeper David was very thoughtful and gave us umbrellas to use right before it started raining. The hostess/service staff Pat and Debbie were very generous and intelligent with their serving of breakfast along with very kind and polite. The breakfast was so very good. Perfect omelets, probably the best bacon I’ve ever had (Very serious) and fruit and croissant all of which were eaten in a tremendous atrium. I seriously wasn’t expecting breakfast to be that good. A memory my family and I will cherish for a very long time. That was simply our experience. Cheers

It was an absolute pleasure to have been able to stay at this quaint bed and breakfast. Located on Main Street in the village of Cold Spring, you are literally steps from antique shops, a general store, restaurants, cafes, etc. I decided to stay here for the July 4th holiday for 3 nights. I live in the Bronx so I always make it a habit to get away for July 4th as it gets super noisy with all the Roman candles and M80's being thrown around at all hours of the night! I slept like a baby here! Pure peace and quiet, just the way I like it! Breakfast every morning was AMAZING! A variety of dishes to choose from and freshly prepared! If you have the pleasure to meet Vera who is the owner then consider yourself blessed! She really goes out of her way to make you feel at home! It was great to have a glass of wine with her and some very lovely phenomenal ladies on my first night there. You will also find that in the afternoon the staff will leave a yummy treat for all the guests in the kitchen like a cake or pie or brownies. Help yourself, make a cup of tea and sit in the kitchen or in the living room. This place is EXACTLY what I needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of NYC! Thank you so much Vera and I wish you and your entire staff continued success at your inn!Rooms: Rooms are super comfortable and clean!Nearby activities: All the antique shops and a general store are steps away including the Hudson River waterfront.Safety: You'll feel super safe here. Streets get very quiet after 8pm.Walkability: This bed and breakfast is close to absolutely everything! From the waterfront, to shops to hiking trails.Food & drinks: Many choices to choose from. There are restaurants, cafes, Chinese take out and a pizza shop.

We have never stayed at a more perfect bed & breakfast. Vera was an incredible host, wonderfully attentive, helpful and caring. It is a sweet, cozy place filled with antiques. The room was perfect for us and the shower had nice warm water (which is never a given). Breakfast was just divine - flawless omelettes, pancakes and french toast. Can't wait to come back!

This is the best bed and breakfast you could possibly hope to find. It is the bed and breakfast of fairy tales. It is really so cute it does belong in the pages of a book. Between the comfortable rooms, a staff that will bend over backwards to make your stay heavenly, a delicious breakfast that feels homey and luxurious at the same time, and the location that is truly ideal I can't pick a favorite part of my stay. I would visit Cold Springs again just to stay here.Rooms: The rooms are comfortable, cozy, and VERY clean.Safety: I felt safe and secure 100% of the time.Walkability: Restaurants, shops, entertainment, and the train station are all within walking distance.

Can't ask for more.. Except for a longer stay ;)The breakfast was amazing. You can eat in either an elegant air conditioned sunlit room or delivered right to your room.Vera, the owner, is incredibly charming and has impeccable taste. The decor is just perfect; from the gambit of cool pig-themed paintings throughout the B&B to the rustic and great selection of books - it ties the B&B theme together so well.Location is perfect: less than a minute walk to the train and nearby plenty of hiking trails. Situated directly on main street, you can visit the antique shops and cool dining. The French restaurant across the street was my favorite. The employees were attentive and helpful to give advice about what to do in the area. There's nothing bad to say: I'll be back soon.

The Pig Hill Inn was the ABSOLUTE BEST bed and breakfast I have ever been to! I stayed in mid-March with my partner and at every turn I was blown away by the owners' hospitality, friendliness, and charm. The breakfast is better than anything in a restaurant, and they leave out snacks and baked goods during the day. The inn itself is super clean, cozy, and our room was very comfortable! We had a wood-burning stove and a jacuzzi that we absolutely made use of. Next time I'm in Cold Spring, I'm going right back to the Pig Hill!

Cozy, lovely, and conveniently located. A perfect oasis in Cold Spring. We had a very comfortable stay here and it was located right on Main Street steps away from many shops and restaurants. The accommodations were charming and the complementary breakfast was enjoyed. Staff were courteous and kind, especially Dave.

Stayed here with my wife for a few days. The owner and the gentleman working there were very attentive and friendly. The breakfasts were good, and there were suitable options available, in addition to the greenhouse seating which was lovely. They also left out cookies and brownies for guests. The room was lovely, and cleaning services were extremely attentive. Coupled with all this and it's convenient location to Cold Spring's shops and the riverfront, it is an ideal place to stay.

We LOVE the Pig Hill Inn! We recently hosted our wedding weekend in Cold Spring and rented all nine rooms at the PHI. Vera the owner is so warm, accommodating, patient, and kind, and the other staff are lovely and attentive as well. I wish we could relive our wedding all over again, in part so we could stay at this lovely bed and breakfast and wake up in the best town in the Hudson Valley. Vera, thank you again for everything you did for us!! ❤️❤️❤️

My partner and I have enjoyed several lovely stays at Pig Hill over the past few years and we can't recommend it enough! It's the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend away from the city in the charming town of Cold Spring. Vera, the owner is always so friendly and welcoming. Dave makes a delicious breakfast with options for everyone. My favorite room to stay in is Morning Ivy- it faces the quiet back alley and has a private little balcony for you to enjoy. There are wonderful personal touches like homemade baked goodies in the kitchen every night and numerous books to read in the lobby by the fireplace. I would LIVE here if I could! Can't wait to return for another visit :-)

My husband enjoyed our time at pig hill inn. We stayed in the tranquility room, which had an awesome jacuzzi tub and super comfortable king size bed. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. For anyone wondering, there aren’t any modern amenities in the rooms like a television, clock or mini fridge. It’s an old, historic building so this makes sense. This wasn’t a deal breaker for us, but it’s helpful to know ahead of time.

I have been wanting to stay at Pig Hill Inn since I went to high school in Cold Spring. My dad even did electrical work for them once in the early 90s. My boyfriend and I went for my birthday finally this year.We stayed in the Windsong room, which was lovely. Vera is the kindest person ever and even lent us an umbrella because I had lost mine the night before (too much Sauvingon Blanc at Le Bouchon birthday dinner:) I took it with as we decided to catch an earlier train, but I promise to return it to you when we come back for a winter stay!!It's a warm, inviting, cozy and quiet place in my old mountain town right in the middle of it all. The breakfast was so good in the beautiful conservatory and lovely staff. Worth every penny and a perfect place to call home for a night or two. Love it💙

Charming, welcoming, clean and comfortable inn. Inn built in 1820s and retains historic beauty. Very convenient to Metro North and good hiking, directly in lovely Cold Spring. Breakfast spectacular and delicious. The Victorian Elegance room has a very specific vibe and was dark, will try to reserve a different room next visit yet absolutely plan for a return visit! Loved our stay.

Just the very best. We walked by and they had a vacancy. We booked for three nights. We felt so welcome and the Pig Hill Inn became a real little get away from our very busy lives. The host and owner, Vera, made us feel like we were personal guests of hers. Whenever we come to the east coast in the fall or winter, we will make sure to come back to this wonderful bed and breakfast.Oh also, the breakfast is really good.
