I’m not one of those who writes reviews and in fact, I abhor it when the sales person requests that I “like” them online however, I had the most incredible and wonderful shopping experience withOLD SOULS NY located in Coldspring. They offered old -time excellent customer service, which is almost Unheard of these days!I was trying to locate the store that my father had purchased two jackets for Christmas and did not have any receipts (nor was my father very clear about what store ) so I went into old souls on a hunch and Joanna, the sales associate was so warm and accommodating, and she went out of her way to look up old orders and receipts, and made an exchange absolutely seamless and wonderful. The store itself is absolutely beautiful and have wonderful things and I will definitely be back to shop but more importantly I just wanted to applaud them and their exceptional old time excellent service that they provided and how outstanding Joanna was as a sales associate. Thank you so much. Can’t wait to see you all again soon. Many thanks Joanna and OLD SOULS!!!

Difficult to support a local business that is unable show the slightest accommodation for local customers. Bought a jacket here, which you can find cheaper online, but wanted to support local business. The jacket was too big so came back 20 days later with original bag, receipt and tags. I they would not let me exchange it for a smaller size since there is a 10 day return policy and the tag was not “intact”, aka the little string was cut. Was just told no without any empathy or alternative solution. Horrible business plan and even worst customer service for a small town outfitter.

Decided to visit this town to give support to local stores. Old Souls was welcoming and had some great outdoor gear. We picked up a set of hiking sticks and are very pleased with our purchase. Store employee was helpful and professional. Too bad other stores still had mask mandates, or we would have shopped more. Great job Old Souls.

A one of a kind store with an awesome selection of outdoor stuff. Name brand jackets, shirts, watches, hiking gear etc. Service is friendly and helpful. Love coming back here from time to time.

Amazing shop! I love the thoughtful design of the interior and the diversity of products. The brands are definitely pricier (Patagonia, Yeti, etc.) but there are also smaller gifts and a sale room. Staff is friendly. I love this place.

I live in the valley and I pop in frequently with our toddler and wife. We always find Things for all of us. They carry high quality gear and apparel. The prices are very competitive with other outfitters. The staff is always happy to answer questions.

My family and I have been supporting this business since it opened. I was floored today when on quiet Wednesday morning the employee in the store couldn't let my two year old daughter who is potty training use the bathroom. I pleaded politely she is two and potty training. I was told to try the pizza shop up the hill. I will never support this business again.Thanks for your reply. It's unusual to see a business operate without a bathroom for its employees. I hope they don't have an emergency like my two year old.

Great store for the outdoorsman! Tons of unique and essential gear for the guy who loves anything outdoors. I bought an awesome pair of polarized Suncloud sunglasses with a lifetime no questions asked warranty and only paid 50$. This is one amazing shop for all your outdoor needs.

Great camping store with a curated selection!They picked out a few shirts, pants, knives, and some gear and it is all quality production and selection.Easy to navigate and the choices are useful and appropriate for the area. The staff is helpful as well.This place sells filson, fjall raven, and yeti items which is rare to see in one place in the Hudson valley. Beautiful!!

Really was impressed with this great shop! The selection of items and why they were chosen to be sold here is the real reason to come. As each item has been researched and truly chosen based on quality. The owners make this place complete and really know how to treat their customers. I will be shopping here for all my gear needs, as I rather support this small business then some random online shop.

Was in Old Souls with my family including my niece and nephew along with my son. My family left before me and they did not realize I was with them and they started to speak very poorly of the 3 little kids who just in there for only 5 minutes. They mocked what they were doing called them disgusting little kids. The guy behind the counter said he needed to sanitize the store as if they were some nasty smelly kids and he instantly grabbed windex and things to clean with. I thought about saying something to him but not as many people may find how rude they were. I go into the store once in a while and like to check out what they have and usually buy something. I also never usually give negative reviews but I couldn’t believe what adults would say about little kids in their business.

Basically ignored the whole time we were there. Been fly fishing/outdoor exploring for well over thirty years and have never been treated like this at an outfitter. A shame, really. A lot of cash could’ve been dropped. Maybe if I was wearing a flat brimmed hat and had hand tattoos...
