A great spot to stop by after a good hike in the area. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, which is convenient. The place is pet-friendly, but you must sit outdoors if you bring your dog. ONCE AGAIN, if you bring your dog, you must sit outside. The outdoor atmosphere is great, and you get to see the trains pass by, which is a cool experience. The place is clean, and the service is fast. We got two chicken sandwiches, one steak sandwich, and three cups of soda. I left the bill so you can see the breakdown. Also, I noticed that they added the tip automatically. This place is a bit more expensive than your average burger spot since Cold Springs is an attraction because of the hiking trails.Everything we ordered tasted good. I’m only giving 4 stars because the prices are on the high side for burgers and a cup of soda is $4 which I find way overpriced.Parking: Parking around the area is challenging but you can get lucky. The restaurant itself offers parking for clients. So if you see DEPOT written on the floor in front of the restaurant that’s theirs.

The place has great cold beers. It’s refreshing to visit after the trails. It has become out go to place in cold springs. The staff is attentive, the outdoor seating is lovely especially when the train comes around. Ive sat inside and its really cozy and toasty during the winter. The food is fresh and amazing, they switch up the menu from time to time & I always find myself trying new things & it never disappoints. Highly recommend.——I just needed to come back and update to continue to RAVE about this place. This year they have really showed up with the menu and variety of plates. I had the Chili like chicken salad and the hummus. Oh my goodness… amazing. Our waiter was attentive despite how busy it was. This place is my top fave.

We went to the Cold Spring Depot today for lunch / early dinner. It was our first time there, and sitting outside was comfortable and yes - - entertaining, with the trains going by every so often. I had the Kale Salad which was good, but it needed something more to make it really stand out. Our table also had the Hummus and Pita which was exceptional, although they were a bit skimpy on the nan (bread). But we asked and received more with a small surcharge. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We'll revisit again! Some of the burger and fries looked outstanding. And they had a number of vegetarian options too.Vegetarian options: They had many salads, a vegetarian burger, and also hummus and pita.

Railroad themed restaurant in the Village of Cold Spring with quaint outdoor seating adjacent to Metro North Railroad Tracks. Service, Food and atmosphere was very good. We had the Jalapeno Ranch Double Burger with French fries and few draft beers. Beers are served in plastic cups. I assume because we ate outside on patio. Dog friendly restaurant. Waiter brought out a water bowl for our puppy to enjoy as well. We were able to park in front of restaurant but it's also in walking distance from the Metro North Railroad Cold Spring Train Station.

Nice vibe at the place. Medicare food with high prices. Slow service. Ordered the pretzel which was good but it should have came with some mustard. The cheese was straight out of the machine. The blue cheese burger was pretty good and the sandwich was just not that good. The cold cuts did not seem fresh. The beer was amazing on the other hand.Place is nice to just sit and chill and bring your dog

Food here is tasty and the portions are large. We had the pull-part bread, which is big enough for up to 4-6 people to share. Highly recommend it. I had a salad with salmon, and my sister had the chicken burger. Both were fantastic. The only negative (which might be a positive for some people) is that it is right next to the railroad. It’s fun to see the trains go by, but it’s loud. Otherwise, the service is attentive and the ambiance is great. Would definitely go back.

A lovely spot a walk from the Cold Spring Metro North Train stop.We got there a there was a bit of a line, but in less than 10 mins we were seated.Service was excellent, food was delicious. Everything was super good but the truffle fries are to die for. Draft beers really cold 😜Definitely a perfect spot to take a day trip to enjoy lunch outside the city.PET FRIENDLY 🐶

Really enjoyed the meal here. I went with the fried chicken sandwich and my friend did the steak sandwich. Both of us really enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend swapping for the truffle fries because they were delicious. They have an okay beer selection (some on tap, some cans). Service was quick, and nice! Really kind host as well.

If you are in town on a Sunday afternoon and don’t have any reservations, then this is probably your best bet. Special menu because of Oktoberfest now. The plate with spaezli and brisket was quite tasty. Hot cider with rum was really good, I even had three. Partially because it was super cold outside and they were not allowing people to get tables inside.

A beautiful place to wrap up a hike through the Hudson Highlands. The beer garden is beautiful, on the plus-side: The close proximity to the Metro North Train. Have a beer and no need to drive. On the downside: The close proximity to the Metro North Train. It's pretty noisy outside. But bearable! Great food and friendly staff make up for that!

Came to cold springs couple times before never stopped for a bite to eat. But today I came up from NYC and grabbed there double burger and had a side a fries. Let’s me tell you it was so delicious. Everything from the vegetables and the meat to the cheese and bun was just out of this world. I enjoyed the service as the server was so nice and sweet. Definitely will come back for another bit and try out there different menu options !!!Parking: About a dozen or more spots availableKid-friendliness: Yes very kid friendly and adult friendly. They have a bar for adults and good food for teens/ younger kids.Wheelchair accessibility: The parking is right in front of the restaurant with easy access and a short walk to the restaurant.

Great place to go for burgers and french onion soup after a brisk hike along the Hudson River. Cozy atmosphere inside & I heard it was haunted 👻 Outdoor bar & patio dining available. Inside bar had glass dividers between seats to keep you socially distant.

For over 150 years this has been the prime location for train travelers to arrive in Cold Spring. Today it still looks very much like it did before becoming a fantastic restaurant. The new station depot sits just feet away. The setting is historic and beautiful, both indoor and out. There are a quaint bar and lovely dining rooms. The menu offers many options. We dined here for lunch and enjoyed a healthy stuffed Lobster Roll with no filler. It was served with a side of crispy fries. The hostess said the burgers were exceptional and would not disappoint. She was on point. Their burgers are juicy, flavorful, and generously sized. I enjoyed a Brussel Sprout coleslaw, and that too was delicious. Cold Spring Depot should be a destination on your list especially convenient for those who want to day hop by train. The town offers so much to do and see from kayaking on the Hudson to strolling into a myriad of shops. And the Depot is next to the ice cream shop.

Located in an old railway station which made for great discussion with the kids, Cold Spring Depot is a solid weekend lunch choice for families seeking a sit down sandwich. The staff were very accommodating and friendly which we appreciated. Younger kids had cheeseburgers and chicken tenders with fries. My elder son and I both had the beef and pork belly burger and wife had the Korean chicken sandwich. Very tasty sandwiches all around. Gets crowded and you may have to wait, especially on cold days when outdoor seating is not a great option.

This is the spot, in Coldspring, for your casual post hike food and a drink. Right now, you are tired, hungry, want a drink, and maybe a little dirty from hiking Breakneck. This place is for you. There is plenty of outdoor seating when it is nice out. Inside is cozy. The train tracks go right by the patio. The train station is a short walk away. If the line is long, don't worry. Dog friendly, if your dog friendly. I've been here a bunch of times.

WOW, where do I begin.. ok I will start by saying that the atmosphere is comfortable and interesting for all ages. I even brought my small dog into the outdoor dining area with no problems, great! Now, the service was ok at best, we had a very uninterested and unnatentive waitress which seems to be common here unfortunately. But the most disappointing part was my food. My food looked great, which is why I was so surprised to how flavorless and season less the food was-no salt- terribly bland. It's pretty clear the chef isn't tasting their food otherwise they wouldn't be serving this food with no flavor. Unfortunately I don't think we will be returning unless the food and service have made a major improvement!

I enjoyed how they turned a former train depot into a restaurant. Nice ambience and even during post Covid arrangements, we were seated fairly quickly although there was a line out front.Food was pretty good. The service was excellent. If I'm in the area I'd come back.PS up the block there's an ice cream parlor that was pretty good too. Go there for dessert.
