We built a new home and wanted to make sure we had room for an aquarium. Eddys was our go to place/store . Abbey came to our home and set everything up & also kept in contact with us the next few months just to make sure all was running smoothly. Abby also transferred fish from our old tank to our new tank. Prices are reasonable, especially for the quality of items you're getting here. The staff is incredibly friendly and immensely knowledgeable. Any question or concern I've had, they've know exactly what I'm talking about and the perfect solution. They want you to have the best experience possible and that is exceptionally rare these days. I would highly recommend a visit to Eddie's no matter where you are in your aquarium journey.

Best aquarium store I have ever been to. I was disappointed with the service at Bensons fish room in Ballston spa so I came here. The staff are all knowledgeable and the prices are right. They have a deli number system to stay organized. This means they will help anyone regardless of if they are a high paying customer or just want water tested. The first time I came here, I was looking to restock my tank after an ich outbreak. They did not sell me fish and told me to wait another month, this says so much about their business and how they value customers over a quick sale. I came back again to set up another shrimp tank and everything went amazing! Thanks Eddie’s!

The staff was so awesome. Wish I git the woman's name who I dealt with. She was so knowledgeable and kind and informative. We drove an hour plus just to go here and it was well worth the trip. Their selection is great! Their fish are healthy and strong. We got some inverts and a mollie blenny and some foods, and I cant wait to go back. Will be getting corals next time

I recently got back into the hobby after a decade of not having tanks, so I had a lot of decisions to test out and details to navigate. Thankfully Eddie’s was very understanding of my situation and me being a bit of an amateur to planted tanks and shrimp. After several visits and some trial and error, I now have a great setup. My low-light plants are doing great and my shrimp and otocinclus are healthy. I really enjoy having the tank in my kitchen. They bring a lot of interest to my daily chores and time at home. I often watch the tank while I do dishes. Sometimes it is really busy, so try your best to be patient or politely get someone’s attention. They are used to people browsing, so they may not know that you want help yet! They use a ticket system. When you are ready, grab a ticket. Also, some fish come in from suppliers in rough shape, so don’t be so quick to blame the store for issues you see in fish.

We have been a fishkeepers for 25 years. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, however, four times I've purchased fish and they have almost wiped out entire tanks.. If not for me knowing how to manage disease and quarantine procedures. One time I came in after the fish had died and they had a sticker on the tank the very next day saying it wasn't up to standards. When my boyfriend asked an associate about it, he gave him such an attitude. But sorry, if your fish start dying within 24 hours and there's a sticker saying it's not up to quality, the customer has the right to ask. We didnt even ask for a refund, or replacement. After that, the associate (and others) would bypass him to help others even when our ticket was first. He's 6'4" and hard to miss. They would walk around him. I also had algae completely under control in my tanks and would bring plants home that I would have to clean, because some were covered in it. Unfortunately, they are the only game in town, which is why I believe they are still in business. Honestly, if i wanted that kind of service i could go petsmart, pay half the price, and still have some fish left. In the future, I will drive an hour away or order online just to avoid wasting money, rude associates, and high prices for quality that doesn't deliver. Others had warned me years ago about the sick fish here and I ignored it for convenience. Not anymore.

I own a saltwater reef system and took the trip out to Eddie’s Aquarium Center. Nice selection of fish and coral. I was having some issues in my reef tank and one of the employees by the name of Chris went above and beyond to make sure he helped me out. I can’t say enough about my experience. My impression is they care about the quality and value of what they provide to their customers experience not the quantity of items they can sell. I definitely recommend.

It’s my first time aquascaping anything larger than a 5gal shrimp tank. I had very very limited knowledge on what I was doing. The guy at Eddie’s who helped me out was super kind. I already had the hardscape but know nothing about aquatic plants. He took the time to help me pick out plants that would do good with the lighting set up I have. He also told me that since it was my first time using all live plants he’d pick out plants that in his words are “hard to kill and very forgiving”.This is the tank after I planted everything. It came out better than I could have ever expected. I wouldn’t have known where to start when picking out aquatic plants and he made it so easy. I’ll be back in a week to test my water and hopefully get some fish!

Since the pandemic began, I was looking for a hobby to fill up the days being stuck inside. After a friend gifted me her old 30 gal curved tank, I decided to get into fishkeeping. I did some research on what kind of setup I would like and stopped into Eddies after checking out the chain pet stores and not really getting the help I wanted. I spoke with Ian, who didn't seem to mind at all that I wasnt buying anything and gave me a ton of info on live plants and how to keep them, and the importance of cycling your tank before adding fish. He also helped me understand how a canister filter works when I brought in a Penplax Cascade 1000 I got from an online garage sale, not from Eddies. After that experience, I decided Eddies was going to be my go-to. Very professional, attentive staff that know their stuff. Much more personal and reasonable pricing when put alongside the chain pet stores.They are considered an essential business, and I commend all of the staff at Eddies for their commitment and sticking to their social distancing guidelines. You ring the doorbell to get let in, they have hand sanitizer right at the front door, and you pick a number to get assistance with the live fish. A ton of selection for a mom and pop!I settled on keeping guppies with ghost shrimp, both non aggressive and get along great as tank mates. All of my fish and shrimp came from Eddies and wont come from anywhere else. My tank has been set up for about 2 months now and haven't had a single one die on me yet. If you are into aquarium or pond keeping, these guys are worth the drive.Thank you Eddie Aquarium Center! Cannot recommend you enough!

We bought 5 female bettas. 1 was a male and all of them came from the same tank. 3 were killed and we went to bring the two back only to be told that we have to make an appointment for credit. We ate the price of the fish. We were not going to drive back 45 min.This place is a rip off. Stay away!Oh and their customer service SUX!

We went to Eddie's today for the first time ever. To say I am impressed is an understatement. They have a variety of supplies and fish that far outweigh their competitors. And their prices are very fare! One of the workers spent atleast a half hour talking with us trying to figure out our recent aggressive tank issue that has been sadly killing some of my fish. He took the time to listen to us and weigh out different options and possibilities. He tested our water. After going to Eddie's, I will never go to any other fish store.

It’s a bit compact and dark, but the staff is friendly and helpful so it becomes easy to overlook the dim lighting you’ll experience in some areas.They have a great selection of Betas and they house them humanely, much better than any other place you can purchase Betas. They keep them in clean clear bowls, not the cheap dirty water plastic cups you’d see them in at Petco, PetSmart, or Walmart.We got my son a Beta about a year ago.We were able to get everything we needed to get him started here so it was quick and easy. He was a baby when we got him and he’s grown to be beautiful and healthy.

Went in to hopefully take a look and possibly purchase a goldfish but the goldfish section was blocked off for some kind of maintenance, understandable. Since nobody offered me any assistance while I was walking around for a few minutes I went up the checkout desk to see if I can take a look at the selection the girl was very nice but it seemed like nobody warned her about the maintenance until someone else came by and told her she could not go there while I was completely ignored no sorry no update for when that’s section might be open again it was very awkward I felt unwelcome and the man who came by to tell her that section was off limits almost seemed mad at both of us. Very weird experience and not a good one sadly.

Knowledgeable, friendly staff. They track your purchases like pharmacists to be certain they aren't giving you compatibility issues, and offer a reward point program. One of the only games in town for saltwater. Highest quality food and equipment in the area.

Good place for aquarium only pets and supplies. Good thing is you can order or re-home fish. Unfortunately Saturdays and Sundays are impossible if you actually want to buy something. There is a tendency to get a staff member that doesn't know a lot about particular fish or questions. The veterans obviously know a lot more and will answer questions by email. You can also check what they have on they're fish list without going there.
