Best butcher around. We brought our pigs and goats here for processing. The wonder helped us. Took his time to make sure we chose the cuts we wanted. Reasonably priced. Moderate turn around time. Will definitely go back. Id recommend this place to anyone who needs an honest butcher.

First, I'd like to say that I never leave reviews but believe I need to let everyone aware of my recent experience. I have brought my deer to Caver Meats numerous times for years and have not had one problem...until recently. Completely messed up my venison order. I didn’t order roast...received 8 packages. I didn’t get any steaks. I ordered 25lbs of maple sausage...received packages of meat with sausage consistency with no seasoning...just plain meat. I received no hamburger even after my order was marked that I desired hamburger above steaks and roast. I was charged $60 for the sausage and the owners only remedy was to thaw out my already frozen meat, add seasoning, the re-freeze the meat. Completely unreasonable and unsafe. My total was $150 ($90 cut fee and $60 for sausage). Never again. I’ll be going to a gentleman in Newark that charges $60 for cutting AND vacuum sealing. Don’t bring your deer to Caver Meats because if they mess up your order, they will not make it right by refunding you the money they charged. Charging for a service not rendered and not providing a reasonable remedy is stealing in my book.

I take venison sausage here every year to get smoked. They are good people that do a great job.I enjoy making my own sausage, but have had some from Caver's, that others have paid them to make, and it is fantastic. They also sell half hogs and quarter cattle as well as butchering, curing, and smoking. They sell ingredients and supplies for DIY folks, and sell Traeger smokers for the home. There is also towable smokers for rent, I believe. Enjoy!

Extremely knowledgeable about cuts and very reasonably priced. Definitely will be returning in the future with our beefer and more pigs. Definitely recommend Caver meats.

They have tasty non nitrate hotdogs and sandwich meats..also great gluten free scrapple.. Thanks for keeping my freezer stocked .
