I’m not a huge wine drinker because it’s hard to find kinds I like. I love the flight option where you can decide what wines you want to try. The outdoor seating is small but it’s so cozy and the view is amazing

The one star is for customer service. Horrible, rude experience!! We live locally and always go to the tasting room in downtown Clayton. We have never been directly to the winery. Saturday we decided to go check it out, we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff, one of the associates directed us to the tasting counter. The person working behind the counter completely ignored us, didn’t even acknowledge us standing there. It was not that busy at that moment, about 5 other people at the tasting counter. Finally, after about 15 minutes or more she strolled over and asked, did you want to do a tasting? Then proceeded to just pour the wine one after another into the glass, no explanation, no conversation and as fast as she could go. Very rude. She needed to be on the register and the other two that greeted us should’ve been at the tasting counter. On another note: Thank you Christian for awesome tacos and brisket sammy! The food was awesome!

Nice location and scenery. But honestly I like the retail spot better on the main strip in Clayton.Stop 4 on our wine trail, we really just felt like a number here and it's part of the routine for staff with how busy it was. Not their fault, they just have gotten so popular through the years! Friendly staff but too packed for family/kids.

One of the best places in Clayton to enjoy the day! Take the whole family. Let's the kids run and play, while enjoying a glass of wine or a wine slushy. On Sunday check out the flea market. Christian is absolutely one of the best cooks around with some outstanding and unique food.

A fun place to visit and relax out on the deck with a drink, overlooking the beautiful vineyards. Love the staff and the atmosphere.

I was introduced to this wine about 2 years ago while visiting son and daughter in law in New York. Have since been ordering it. I have enjoyed the River Boat Red.I had just placed another order and with this bad cold spell it caused a issue with the wine. Lori has been amazing with helping me out with the order. Go give them a try. You won't regret it

My husband, dog, and I stayed through Harvest hosts. They were so accommodating and made us feel like family. The wine was delicious! I really enjoyed the Frontenac! The property is so beautiful! We would definitely be back!

Lori is an amazing employee and deserves recognition. She answered my email about my daughter needing wine corks for a project. She let the other ladies know she's collecting the corks and kept them in a safe spot. Lori, thank again for helping us out.As for the winery, fireboat red is my absolute favorite sweet wine. They also have a variety of other delicious wines. When you drive out to Clayton, you'll find the winery in a quiet country spot. There are areas to sit outside with flowers all around to enjoy a glass of wine. Wine tastings are inside and nicely air-conditioned. Its a beautiful spot to relax.

I’m not someone who’d give such bad rating but my experience was such. We went for wine tasting on an evening & fell horribly sick right after. The lady serving us said one of the wines has been opened quite a while ago and someone forgot to put a date on it but she tasted & said it didn’t yet go bad. I’m not sure if that’s the reason but they have served us wines that were dated a few days ago. These literally had no sparkling left in them. Just plain drinks. These wines are not the expensive ones, most of them cost between $10-$15. I don’t think they should be serving the same wine even the next day. It left us with really bad stomach. And not to forget that one person was handling 3 different groups & she kept rushing with minimal talking, not to forget - she said i don’t make it so I don’t feel bad if you don’t like it instead of suggesting us other ones - we didn’t enjoy the tasting experience either. I wouldn’t go there ever again.

Stopped in while on vacation after a neighbor highly recommended this winery. I don't remember the name of the woman at the counter but she was very friendly and willing to help find the perfect wine. After trying a few different options I couldn't walk away without purchasing their fantastic wine. I will definitely stop back in when my supply runs low.

Not only did we do a wine tasting (bought a case too) but they are also a member of Harvest Host and camped in our motorhome for the night. The hosts are very nice and had a great experience with them...I have a few favorites of their wine but my number 1 is their River Run!

Went while on a family visit, pre ordered a case of Fireboat Red as I knew I wanted that from receiving as gifts. When we went to pick it up and decided to sample ones we never tried. Our server Cara was beyond amazing! She knew all the wines and explained them to us with such enthusiasm. Enjoyed it so much, I bought a second case of variety of wines and some gift items. Will definitely be back.

A group of 5 friends and myself enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at Coyote Moon tasting their awesome wines. Chelsey was very welcoming and took the time to show us around the winery and tell us stories about how the winery got started and inspiration for the wine and art around the place. CHELSEY ROCKS! They even let us roam around the campus and check out the grapes ourselves and hang out on their porch overlooking their personal pond. Great afternoon and you have to try the Marquette Reserve. New favorite wine!

My husband and I were at Coyote Moon earlier this week and had a wonderful time. Vanessa was taking care of our tasting but ALL the girls were very friendly and the wine was very good! Something for everyone's taste. Don't miss it if you're in the area. 😊

We've been to several functions at Coyote Moon Vineyards both on County Route 3 and downtown along the river in Clayton. They do a phenomenal job.Even with huge crowds at the 2018 Easter Egg Hunt, our kids had a great time. The "Roaring '20s" wine club party was a blast. The wine is great, the staff is amazing, and the owners make you feel like you're part of the family!

What a great winery! We visited in June 2015, while on break when we were performing at the 1000 Islands Bluegrass Festival. The people were wonderful, the tastings were instructive and helpful, and all of us went home with wine and salsa (to die for!!) and jam.We'll definitely come back and I'm re-ordering more goodies today.Jan HudsonThe Fossil Creek Band;

My wife and I had a very enjoyable time on a dreary day. Enjoyed the wines we tasted at the tasting bar and really liked our time with the hostess. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Would go back when in the area again. Thank you for brightening up our day.

We used Coyote Moon for our wedding and the location was beautiful. The tent for the reception was great and I'm so happy that all of the tables and chairs were included. There were even yard games that kept the kids and some of the guests occupied if they didn't want to dance. The staff was very helpful the night before and the day of as we began setting up as they helped me choose wine for the guests since I had never tasted their unique flavors. The reason for the 3 stars is that it was awful trying to communicate with them leading up to my big day. As a bride, (being the one planning my wedding), I had a lot of questions that would come up that I needed to ask the venue. Coyote Moon did have a wedding coordinator for me but she was impossible to get in touch with via phone or e-mail and unfortunately none of the other staff had answers to my questions. By the time they assigned a new coordinator to me, there was only a week left until my wedding. It was a little frustrating at first but we really did enjoy the vineyard on our wedding day.

I stopped at the booth set up at the Cheese Festival today in Lowville, NY. I asked if I could sample a wine and the woman working the booth was very rude to me and said wait because she had to take care of someone else who wasn't ready to make a decision on what they wanted to try! She also was rude to other people that were walking up to the booth! I don't understand why! I did finally try a wine and thought it was great! i went to another wine booth and the workers were very nice and helpful when I asked questions! I just hope that Coyote Moon Vineyards aren't all judgmental!

Very rude people for their Harvest Festival. Arguing with us to pay admission when we are just coming to buy bottles of wine to the winery. That’s fine if you want to lose business, you just did. We will take our business to 1000 Islands Winery. Inexcusable behavior

We recently visited the actual winery (we had only been to the one in the mall) and I have to say i don't think we will go back. I love wine and there is a certain ambiance that I prefer when visiting and tasting. I found the staff to be quite cold, rushing us through the tasting and we only got 2 samples. I do not like the wine, I did enjoy the Fireboat red but after exploring more wines in the area I found that THOUSAND ISLANDS WINERY is the absolute BEST! Visiting Coyote moon was like walking into a gift shop/bar. Thousand islands on the other hand is gorgeous as your parking you can see the vineyard and so pleasing to the eye on the inside the set up is nice and there is a clear display of the bottles and prices and for $5 you can taste 10 wines to find the perfect one and you get a free glass. Coyote moon I believe charges $4 for 6 and it's not pleasant their wine slushes are pretty expensive too (not worth the price to me, taste wise)With all things considered if you're just getting into wine Coyote moon may the place for you but if you're more into finding that perfect bottle I HIGHLY recommend thousand islands winery and I have to say that is our go to place and when we move they even ship to our next state and Coyote moon does not. North country red is our favorite from TIW and the German semi dry white (can't spell it) even more they are Veteran owned! 👌🏻ETA: I am registered as a local guide but for some reason google is not showing that so I do apologize for that
