Wonderful food!! Mushroom bacon cheeseburger with onion rings that filled me up and the best flavor in a long time!! The bacon had that perfect crunch with flavor in every bite. So full we couldn’t do ice cream, but Perry’s Ice Cream, yeah we’re coming back soon. The atmosphere is more “grandparent” style, but I love that nostalgia. It literally brought me back to childhood

If you’re expecting to get a full meal here, we’ll forget about it. I purchased 3 small fries along with hamburgers and hot dogs. When the food arrived, I was blown away with how LITTLE amount of fries each tray received. I asked the young girl working if this is all you get for $2.30. When she came back, she told me this is all you get, so either keep it or get a refund.Other customers around me could not believe it either. You can literally count the number of fries. Told the kids to forget getting ice cream from here, it’s obvious they are a bunch of pirates.

Staff always look miserable and appear annoyed making no effort to be hospitable. Food is what you'd expect but extremely overpriced. So, if you want to spend an unreasonable amount of money for mediocre food and being treated like your an annoyance, then this is the place for you.

Walked in to get a to go menus since I was next door. Thought maybe we’d come back and order. I always thought they were just ice cream. The woman was so rude. She seemed annoyed that she even had to deal with me. I threw the menu away. Treat people better & maybe you’ll get more clients

Love this place, they have very reasonable prices on everything, love their soft serve ice cream along with their chicken tenders. Usually during the summer this place is packed but generally you can come in have a seat inside or outside grab yourself a nice meal for a low price and be walking out the door full or ready for their desert

Food is ridiculously overpriced, as many reviews have mentioned. Menu is a scattered mess. Waited 20 minutes in a yellowjacket-infested seating area for two cheeseburgers even though I was the only one in line. Received two cold, undercooked cheeseburgers with no condiments. No condiments outside so I was out of luck on that front. I went here expecting nothing and somehow received less.

My husband and I went there to fulfill a soft serve craving and I'm so glad we did! The ice cream was so good and creamy and I might have to make a trip back up there from Syracuse just for that! The service was quick and the young woman at the counter was very sweet.

I love the Castle. We knew the previous owners and Frank and Jill are carrying on the tradition. I go with my 82 old friend every week in summer. We love their onion rings as to naysayers, who needs huge portions when just a hamburger and fries is just enough? When my grown kids come to visit with my grands, one of their first questions is when can we get ice cream at the Castle!!

This place has good ice cream, expensive, but good. The service is mediocre. The young staff members are rude and unorganized. It took almost 5 minutes to get 3 cups of ice cream when we were the only patrons. The young lady taking our order, waited and chatted, as the other young lady prepared the order by herself. Had the 2 worked together, a 2 minutes exchange would have take place. Now, the sitting area is cozy...., but the sweet bees are intense. If allergic or scared, this is not the place for you.

Very good ice cream and burger for a fast family meal. Dozens of ice cream flavors and options. Everything you could ask for with ice cream. Sundays, fluries, soft serve, hard, they have it all. Take the whole family and enjoy a meal before.

Absolute worst place i’ve ever been. TERRIBLE employees with attitude and the prices are absurd for the amount of food you get. i went in there recently and the girl working the front counter didn’t greet me despite having no one in line and throughout the whole interaction didnt say anything. Then had an attitude with another customer. The owners of this place need to get their stuff in check as well as their employees in check. These rude teenage girls are absolutely terrible . i wish i could give zero stars because that’s not the only time i’ve had a bad experience at this sh!t establishment.

Fun place to stop for a summer treat. Be prepared to wait in a short line on weekends or peak times. Staff is friendly and efficient and there is plenty of seating outside. Great family place with reasonable prices and generous portions. Wheelchair/stroller accessible!

Awesome food friendly staff always smiling and sweet. I recommend for breakfast the Californian Burrito, and for lunch the fish sandwich with deep fried banana peppers on the side. And when available definitely try the mac n cheese burger(my fav).

The Castle is a summer tradition. Happy to see they are open. Nice assortment of hard ice cream. Soft serve is fantastic. They have done a great job with Covid-19 safety precautions providing hand sanitizer and plexiglass dividers. We didn't order food on the last visit, but in the past have found it a bit pricey.

Food and ice cream was good but the service/workers are the worst I've ever seen. We come to 1000 Islands every year and Castles was always the best place to go for Ive cream but over the last 5-6 years it's gone downhill. We've gone from going 3-4 times a trip down to once. The most recent being the workers shutting the outside lights off and leaving before people had finished their ice cream. What the hell kind of disrespectful stuff do you employ. It says you're open until 10 yet your employees shut all the lights off and are leaving in their vehicles at 9:50 before customers had left. Absolutely pathetic, we will be taking our business elsewhere. Such a shame
