Love the SA ... but WHO prices the items??? It's the salvation army folks a place for those who cannot afford expensive shops to go find essentials and clothes at the most affordable below cost prices... allot of these items are priced way too high. So I'll pick up a small figurine or something cheap looking and look at the sticker and say are you kidding me? And leave it. Some things are reasonable others no. But I'm always shopping there because like that store but they need to lessen the cost of things.

Last "3" years....Beautiful Displayed, Great Staff, Clean, wouldn't know it was a Thrift Store ...but now YUCK!!! What Happens When THEY Get Rid of Great Employee.....Store Sales, Cleanliness, Displays & Customers Will Suffer ....Good Luck With All That!! 😷

I have shopped this store for years! Over the last couple of years, the prices have skyrocketed! Charging ridiculous prices for items that are donated. The staff is relatively friendly but the management isn't super friendly. Went there this evening with my boys. Went to cash out and was told that the cashier had already closed down her credit card machine (about 15 minutes early)..I had already spent an hour there and only had a debit card on me. I mentioned to the manager that a heads up would of been nice and she rudely told me that she announced the store was closing soon. Understood, but maybe mention you are only taking cash! A waste of my time! The Rome Salvation Army is more reasonably priced. I'll send my donations and business there.

Was told by one of the workers that on a particular day there would be a sale going on. I get there at 8am, which according to the internet said the store was open, and was told by a man that was opening the store that they didn't open until 10 am. Then proceeded to insinuate that I was lying that someone told me about a sale going on. He was very rude and arrogant. Sorry but there was absolutely no reason to be arrogant to any potential customers, especially when you are working for a charitable Christian organization.

I believe the store seems improved since the last time I volunteered my services at this location. Much more organized and welcoming in appearance. The prices are high for a thrift store, as I was leaving with just 4 pairs of shorts for my youngest I was thinking I could of bought brand new for just $2 more a pair.

Not so much the place itself but the prices are way out of line suppose to help people suppose to be cheaper than regular store. The clothes are stained holes on them I know you help with rescue efforts but the stuff is donated you could sell more and help more people if the prices were not so high your product would sell faster and faster return and stuff would not just sit there for weeks.

Other reviews complain about the clothing and such, but it's a salvation army store...if you go to any salvation army expecting to find an 800 dollar leather jacket, you will be very disappointed. That said, the staff is friendly at this location and it's fairly clean for the other SA's I've been to. Keep up the good work.

Got exactly what I needed for a amazing price. I picked up some nice cloths for church for almost nothing. Always recommend a good salvation army store

This is such a well organized store, very clean, the friendliest staff, everyone is helpful and cheerful. Nice selection and of course, great prices. Fun to shop here, you just never know what you'll find!

The salvation army was great. Great manager, she knows how to treat people, way better than the last one. I had a great experience and I recommend friends to shop there and I can't wait to go back.

Nothing great here and most of the clothes are a tattered, stained mess. They should be a little more discerning with what they take in. However, the staff was VERY kind and that alone would make me return if I thought I could find what I needed.

Disappointed in the pricing. Used to be a great place to get a deal, but 9.99 for a stained t-shirt? No thanks, I'll spend 12 and get a new one. I don't know who does the pricing, but they need a reality check.

I previously was employed here. This place has so many problems, & because of its so many problems, it makes it incredibly difficult to focus on just one issue, without going into to much detail, here are just a few of the things I've encountered during my short time as an employee at what I consider to be hell on earth.Either it's the abuse of authority, the double standards, the illegal acts, the substantial lack of organization, the mistreatment through verbal & mental abuse of employees, unjustified & unproven character assassination against employees, the under pay for hours worked, the trashing of highly valuable items merely because they are morally disapproved of, despite the very highly positive benefits those "immoral" items may bring to somebody in need.Also arguably the most terrible of all in my opinion, the worst possible human trait that most all Right Wing Evangelical Conservative organizations & individuals carry... The mass blatant double standards & hypocrisy!

This is one of those hit-or-miss stops where recent donations determine the success of your visit. I dropped one star because Sal Army stores in general severely cut back their store hours, which makes it difficult to catch them open. The Chittenango store nearly earns back the fifth star by having classic rock playing, instead of the new country that seems to be playing everywhere else.....you'd think we were living in Kentucky....

I have donated clothing and household items to this location for many years. After my most recent attempt to drop off items, I will no longer donate here. On a rainy afternoon, I went to this store with a few small things to donate. I was told to sit them outside, I said "no". I asked " may I put them in the drop boxes", again I was told "no" and informed " those are for clothing only". I asked if I could tuck them in a box. I was told "no" again. I was informed I could not leave my items. After making the trip, while the store was open, needless to say I was annoyed and will not donated anything here again.It is a shame when you attempt to do the right thing, that you are turned away. My comment was "your lose" and I left.

Everything is over priced. For stained worn out Walmart clothing they want 4$ for a shirt. They overprice clothing depending on the brand, and most the time it's just hilarious. You can go to TJMaxx or Marshalls and get an outfit for the same price as Salvation Army!!!! WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THAT!!!!! PLUS THE EMPLOYEES ARE USUALLY RUDE IN THE EVENING.

Well, only game system I didn't have was a Wii and only thing I needed for my PS3 was a remote. Now I've got both for 28 bucks. Killer deal. ;)

A fair thrift shop, prices are too much for what they have. You can usually find similar kitchenware for brand new at any WalMart.
