Hadn't been to an ice cream shop in a long time. Ordered a strawberry sundae. It cost somewhere in $5.50 range. Give or take. I was shocked by how much the size had shrunk but price didn't. At least half the size I remember. Cup was tiny, way less everything, ice cream ,strawberry sauce it was all very tiny. I was told ice cream stands aren't what they used to be. And I guess they aren't. Its not Dads inpaticular its everywhere. More money and less for that money. No need to return to Dads. Same price I can go to store and buy a whole box of ice cream sandwiches that will last a week or two.

Family owned, small business. Under a mile from the zoo in Chittenango Station. Prices beyond reasonable and sizes are awesome! Extra parking available if the spots directly in front of the building are taken. Check it out!

It was pouring outside and I was looking for a place to take my grandson for ice cream. I thought of Dad's Ice Cream and hoped they were open even in the rain and they were. My grandson and I were thrilled. A wonderful adventure. A wonderful young person waited on us. She was very nice. We stood under the awning and watching the rain and loving the delicious soft ice cream. They had hard to and way to many flavors to remember of both.

Dad's Soft Ice Cream went above and beyond meeting our expectations. Whom I assume was the owner, provided the upmost hospitality to our group. She went out of her way to make our children's afternoon memorable. In return, we will go out of our way to support this small business in the future because of the level of customer service that was provided to us. She is a true example of a great business owner. PS- my son's shared their ice cream with me, it was great! Thank you again!! 👏👏

Absolutely the BEST ice cream around. It's like a hidden gem because it's not on a busy road. Everyone there is so friendly and the owners are great! It's a fantastic family owned business. The prices are cheap for the quality and amount of ice cream you get.

My 2 year old wanted pink ice cream, they recommended their special of soft strawberry. I got it as a twist, it was great. Very close to The Wild to make a pit stop before heading home.

Amazing ice cream and never crowded! Very friendly people too! Tons of options, and some flavors you've never heard of before. In a nice small town right next to a very large petting zoo/zoo with a gift shop and many animals to pet and feed. Very good location, so stop by here, it's worth it!

Got sundae was happy with everything, but was hoping bigger in size for a 3 scoop sundae. Wasn't short on toppings or anything just comparing to other ice cream shops. Would recommend trying

Good ice cream. Lots of choices and great staff. Would be 5 stars but the parking is AIDS, which is to be expected if you open up a business on residential grounds on Lakeport RD, which is connected to Route 13.

Love this place. Great prices, staff, and selection of ice cream. My favorite was always the "orange creamsicle", it tasted just like one. Dont know how they made it, but amazing taste. Bring all your dogs so they can have thier very own doggy dish, you don't have to share yours. (I used to bring my 3 dogs here and they loved thier doggy dishes). Best to park at the old bus garage parking lot because they dont have a big parking lot and it is a very popular place. Once you go there, you'll find out why. :)

A genuine Ma&Pa country ice cream shop. Friendly service, picnic tables to sit at and great menu choices. I go there at least once a week during the summer. I prefer it over any other ice cream shop in the area.

Nice little stand near Chittenango, but limited parking. If you don't get a spot there is parking 50 - 75 yards away but you have to walk along a busy road. Servings are large and pricing very reasonable. 6 of us was $16!

A classic mom and pop ice cream stand with some of the best combinations of sundaes and shakes and all sorts of original concoctions that make you fat and happy. The warm brownie sundae has five scoops of your choice of ice cream. Skip dinner and go to Dad's.

We went here Friday, August 6th @ 8: 30 PM. A young girl served me a vanilla milk shake for $4 and it tasted like frosted milk. It had no ice cream in it. Wont be back there. She either didnt know how to make one or was in a hurry to leave.

Fast and friendly service. You get much more than what you pay for. Their prices are lower and their servings are larger than any other place that I have been. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Love Dad's Ice cream.

Great variety of flavors and cones. Had a soft chocolate with chocolate sprinkles in a waffle cone. When I got to the bottom of my cone there were sprinkles in the tip. What a bonus!!
