Their prices aren’t cut. They said to take additional 20% off the tag but the tags so high it’s not worth it. The sales rep was sooooo pushy. After I told her my weekly and monthly income, she told me to say I make double that so I could get my purchases. She said they would never check. The red flags were slapping me in the face. She then kept saying, let’s get this financing approved. This after I asked for time to think. I found the same furniture at Ashley’s for a little more than $700 cheaper. The customer service was awesome there also. A customer there informed me that customers weren’t receiving their furniture from Ruby Gordon either. Either way, my experience was horrible and kind of scary. After I was told to inflate my income, by their associate, no more needed to be said. People watch out for this bankrupt business. The energy feels horrible when walking through the door, it goes downhill from there. There are no special sales either. Beware.

WORST ordering experience we've ever had and we still haven't received any results. We moved to Hornell about 2 months ago for our doctoral studies and we had no experience with furniture sellers and prices in this area. We ordered a table set and sofa on August 18. They told us to pay part of the total price and that we could pay the rest upon delivery. This is how we agreed and the order was created. The delivery date was stated as 2-3 weeks. Afterwards, we were told that the down payment we made was low and that we had to pay half of the total fee, so we said okay. This type of payment information should have been given at the time of the first order, but of course, since they were not corporate, we learned it randomly. After 2 weeks, we went to the store and asked to find out the status of our order. We were told that it was ready for transportation and no other request was made. After leaving the store, we waited to be called to discuss the delivery details, of course THEY DID NOT CALL! THEY NEVER CALL YOU! When we called to ask why, they asked for the full payment in a non-serious manner. When we asked why you didn't tell us this when we came to the store, they said this was the rule. No problem, we made the payment again and started waiting. They said that the product, which they said would be ready that week, would be delivered to you 10 days later, that is, on September 13. We accepted that too. And the day of delivery arrived on our table, no problem, it was the product we wanted, but the sofa that arrived had nothing to do with what we ordered, neither in color nor in model. We returned it without unpacking it. When we talked to the manager, he said he would pay $150 as an apology fee and it still hasn't been paid. We can't reach anyone when the new sofa will arrive. The worst part is, pay attention to the price they show for the furniture on the invoice. They showed the sofa, for which we paid 1200 dollars, as 300 dollars. And now we are in a situation where we cannot reach ANYONE. Since we are international students, we do not know what rights we have. We have stated many times that we are in a difficult situation and do not have any furniture to sit on, but the situation is obvious. I added the photos. The person who sent this product should never do this.

Purchased mattresses on 11/30/2023, I was assured they would be delivered by December 21 even though they had filed for bankruptcy. 1/24, still no mattresses, store is shut down, no contact, no answers, out 3600.00 that I paid them...I have reached out to Aaron and Janetta Ruby who refuse to get back to me.... Worst part is they sold these with the full intention of never delivering, according to their bankruptcy filing they owe the mattress company over 50k.I will be talking with the media as well as the BBB and the attorney general.

We were absolutely scammed and misled by this store, it's not surprise they are going out of business. Do NOT use their financing options, they either completely lied about how their financing works or they are unknowledgeable about their own finance options. Ended up paying almost $3,000 for a bed that was only $1,200 because we were told the bi-weekly amount would be going towards the total amount. We never received any welcome package or info from their financer in the mail as we were told.

Inept is being kind. I ordered a couch in August (it was discontinued 2days after I bought it), not a word from this garbage company until I reached out 2.5 months later asking where my order was. They said they would “process” a refund … another 2 weeks went by and didn’t hear anything again. Then all of the sudden they went bankrupt … “what a shame”, but not surprising. They said they would keep in co tact with me if I had questions. Well 2 months later and numerous attempts to contact them each week (not kidding) I STILL HAVE YET TO HEAR ANYTHING FROM ANYONE. This company is a joke, much like the people that work there.They also blocked me on Facebook when I commented on what is happening with my situation and deleted my comment (confirmed that with my wife’s account). The incompetence is truly astounding

I would like to say I purchased a furniture set from here and loved it, but this place has been nothing but stress and confusion. Take your money to a place where they are professional and will take care of you. We were told in June, when we purchased our sofa, that it’ll be 10-12 weeks. We said okay we loved the set, we will wait that long. They never reached out to let us know that it wouldn’t be within the 10-12 week time frame, and I finally got an email about it coming end of October. Well, end of October was approaching and I heard nothing still so I reached out again and they now said end of November and even that date isn’t accurate. I did not agree to buy a couch in summertime just so I can still not have said couch by the holidays. I went and purchased a different set elsewhere, one that is already delivered. I reached out to get a refund, was told someone will get back to me, and that was last month. Please, if you have the money and want new furniture go to a different place that will not be so unprofessional. No communication, no actual answers for things. Unless they say you can have it same day, easy/quick transaction, DO NOT BOTHER WITH THESE PEOPLE

I ordered a sectional in May was told 8-12 weeks. My brother and sister in law ordered the same couch 3 weeks after us received there’s. I paid for half the furniture up front, Still haven’t gotten money employees gave us the run around for months. And now there stores are closed and they’ve filled for bankruptcy. Aaron ruby and who ever else that has anything to do with the corporation is a bunch of thieves. Your day will come.

We were looking for a mattress when we went there. It was our first time there. The sale rep was really helpful and helped us a chose a mattress. We did not want to spend a lot of money for the mattress since the ones on display were $2k+. We told him the same and he took us to his labor day sale section with few mattresses on a very reasonable price. We have got the one shown in photo. We've used it for over 2 years and its still a great and comfortable mattress. I believe it was for $600 for a queen. Most mattress places does not display an economical mattress but if you are on a budget and want to try out a mattress before buying then this is a nice place.We ended buying another mattress from there for guest room and its awesome too.

Stopped by Ruby Gordon’s the other day in search of a bedroom set. Vanessa and Brian were very helpful. They put together a package for us and we bought it. Beautiful Amish set. So excited. Went back today and Vanessa and Brian are helping with another purchase. My mom bought a recliner as well. If you are looking for great people to work with and beautiful furniture Ruby Gordon’s is the place to go.

I ordered a sectional couch on March 8th 2023...we are now in October and I still have not received my couch!! Whenever i call to ask if there is an estimated time i should be expecting my furniture, they tell me there is no way for them to know as it is a manufacturer delay. They assured me i would have my couch in 8-12 weeks when i put down the deposit in March. I specifically asked them if they were sure about that because I had recently experienced a nightmare with york furniture gallery where an entire year had passed and I still had not recieved the my furniture. I went to ruby gordon hoping to have a very different experience but so far it has been even more frustrating! First of all, there's no way to get ahold of their corporate office or even a manager for that matter. I make endless dead end phone calls and visits to the store. They take no accountability and blame everything on the manufacturer. They say their sales ppl have been mistakingly telling customers they will receive their furniture in 8-12 weeks when it obviously takes closer to a year or more!! They offer very little compensation for the inconvenience as far as discounting the cost of your purchase, they only offered me $200 off of a $4000 couch! I am currently trying to get a refund on my deposit!! I will NEVER do business with Ruby Gordon again!!

We went to Ruby Gordon to buy a couch and ended up buying a couch, chair, end tables and lamps. Vanessa was very patient with us and supportive of our choices. The next day we went back because we changed our mind on the couch color. Because we picked a different color, we then had to re-pick the end tables and lamps to match. We didn't leave until after closing two nights in a row. Vanessa was right with us the whole time showing us different options. Store manager, Brian worked with us pricewise to get us to the price range we were looking for. If you want a non pushy, honest, hard working employee to help you ask for Vanessa.,

If I could give this place a 0 for a review I would. Ordered chairs on 6/3/2023. Fully paid for. Called today, 8/18/2023. Was informed that they "just found out" the company making our chairs just abruptly went out of business. I find that extremely difficult to believe. Didn’t even have the courtesy to call me. Now I have to wait until forms get filled out to get a refund. And then wait for the refund to come in. Only took 24 hours to take my money out but 4-6 weeks to return it? I’m going to want it much sooner than that. They better go to the bank and make a withdrawal because I’m going to want cash. This is completely unacceptable. You have lost a long time repeat customer and I will highly advise everyone I know not to shop there. I do not care what excuses they come up with for the problem I will not be satisfied.

We went to Ruby Gordon Henrietta store for furniture. I was undecided on type or color but Wayne was super helpful. He came to our house free of charge with samples for color and to measure for size. When it arrived we couldn't have been happier! It looked awesome! Their manager Harry, our sales rep Michele and the entire staff were courteous and helpful. I had to wait a little longer for the furniture to deliver due to covid delays but it was totally worth the wait. The customer service there was above and beyond!

I recommend both of these individuals if you are in the market for furniture especially Brian because he will work with you on the price.

Purchased a bedroom set at the end of July. Was told it would be 6 weeks. Called for an update after that timeframe and they had no answers of why it wasn’t in yet but would look into it and give us a call back. Never received a call. Called back again the following week and was told it still wasn’t in and someone else was waiting for the same set sense November (almost a year) and their order would be filled first. So I guess points for honesty there?? I asked to speak with the manager because none of this was disclosed to us when we made the purchase. Was told my information would be taken and I would get a call back. Still no call back. Will never ever recommend or purchase anything further.

Horrible experience. After 9 months of waiting for a couch that causally informed me that they could not make it anymore. This is after numerous delays with no communication. It has been more than a month of me waiting for the refund with no luck so far, and no communication and no answer to many many calls.

I moved to a new house and unfortunately my bed (headboard) and dresser wouldn't fit up the stairs so it was time to find a replacement set. I have shopped at Ruby Gordon before and they have provided excellent customer service in the past. I had another excellent experience. The salesman Taylor greeted me at the door and asked how he could help. He brought me over to the bedroom sets and left me alone for a little bit to check them out. When he returned. he asked if I had any questions. He was very knowledgeable and didn't try to up-sell me or use pressure sales tactics. I found a great bedroom set at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Ruby-Gordon for your furniture needs!

RUN AWAY!I purchased a Kingsdown king-size mattress a few months ago from this store and it's been a major disappointment. Despite the high price tag, it's already sagging significantly. This has resulted in back pain, shoulder, and neck discomfort. I wouldn't recommend this mattress based on my experience.

If you want good customer service and an organization that will keep you updated on your purchase, do NOT buy from Ruby-Gordon. My wife and I ordered 2 sets of living room furniture, spent over 8k back in March 2023 and we are now almost in August 2023 with nothing delivered.Our furniture originally has a date of end of June to be delivered. But nothing. RG did not even have the customer service dedication to call us to let us know of any delays. I had to call them, multiple times and at first they acted like it was unthinkable to me to talk to a manager about it.When I finally talked to a manager instead of admitting their inability to deliver and even let the customer know, they just blamed it who they sub contract thru. Did not want to take any ownership of their faults. They did give take off $500 for the delay but this still does not make up for 2 months being late and their horrible customer support.Never go with RG find another place.

We went to buy a mattress. We already knew which brand and style we wanted, so we were prepared. (We wanted to avoid sales pitches.)Michelle Cuebas came over, helped find the specific mattress, and we fell in love with it. She wasn't pushy nor did she try to talk us into upgrading to a more expensive model. She was friendly and personable.We decided to ask about basic bedroom furniture. She showed us what was available and we picked out what we wanted. Since I planned on checking out a mattress at another store, we didn't commit though we pretty much made up our minds, but we wanted to be sure.We came back soon after, ordered everything at a great price, and signed on the dotted line. Michelle made it easy and painless. We didn't feel like we had just been dollar signs. We were comfortable and confident in our purchases, and we believe Michelle helped us feel that way.
