Our pup has gone there for three years, it’s the only place we trust when we go out of town and need boarding! The staff is always so helpful and genuinely care about the animals. Plus they send cute pics!! I would give them 10 stars if I could!!!

My pup Sadie and I recently completed the teenage puppy class. I was very happy with the class and our trainer Jeff. Jeff does a great job of teaching tips and techniques not just for the dogs but for the dog owners too. Even learning a simple command like “wait” has significantly improved Sadie’s day to day behavior. That command gets used before feeding, entering and exiting the house and car and has made for a more enjoyable experience with her. Thanks to Jeff and I wish I had known about paws and claws sooner.

Canine Good Citizens’ recent class was run by Jeff and his assistant Dan. Though we met only 1 hour, once a week, my dog and I learned the skills needed to pass~demonstrating the importance of practice!The human (handler) is the true student. The dog (beloved- animal-friend) is the reward we work toward. If we hope to modify behaviors and achieve certain skills with our dog, we first learn how to teach. P&C’s trainers teach the humans to teach their dogs!Through our training we ask our dogs to work with us and we stand by our expectations. Positive reinforcement is the only method deployed.Humans are expected to be consistent and reinforce (as homework) in order to effectively teach their dog.5 stars- Comfort and safety level within the building, class and with the instructors.5 stars- encouraged to ask questions and ask for help5 stars- cleanliness of the environment5 stars- professional, kind, empathetic trainers.5 stars- fun, interesting educational, worth the cost of the course5 + stars- Jeff’s two dogs…Thor and BamBam are wonderful, intelligent, loving dogs. My two dogs go to Paws and Claws for grooming and honestly - the entire staff and Jess (groomer) are absolutely stellar.We’ve had some horrible experiences at other groomers and Jess is expertly skilled and incredible - especially in working with my two (100lbs each) furry dogs.

Super friendly staff and beautiful HUGE facility with multiple daycare rooms based on your dogs energy/size. Our 5 year old dog loves going to daycare and we've had multiple wonderful experiences with boarding him too! They send us photos every time he there! Love the contactless valet drop off and pick up!

A wonderful facility that will take EXCELLENT CARE of your pet as if it were their own - EVEN IF IT COSTS THEM PROFIT. I feel our dogs are safe and well cared for here at all hours and rest easy knowing I will get a call if something changes. Our senior dog, who always loved coming here, recently began to get stressed when away from home (natural, due to age and medical conditions). They were concerned enough about her well being that they called to let me know and offer a shorter vacation which was in her best interest. They treated her with compassion and respect, recognizing that while it was not an emergency, she needed some extra assistance and would do best at home. They kept me up-to-date, even on days they were closed, communicating when updates would come, discussing best plans, and answering any and all questions I had. I will continue to use them now and in the future. Thank you to everyone who took such good care of my pups! 12/5 best doggo care facility

Jeff did a great job leading our teenage puppy training class. It was amazing to see the progress our Milly has made in just a few weeks. The class really provided us with the knowledge and skills to bring out the behaviors wanted and knew were within her. Using the positive reinforcement methods they teach just 10 mins a day made a big impact. Time and money well spent! It was also pretty fun to watch Jeff with his dogs Thor and Bam Bam, seeing what is possible if you invest the time in your dog.

Our puppy loves going to daycare and we cannot say enough good things about our experience so far. From daily photos to the first day "report card" Paws and Claws has gone above and beyond with their highly personalized daily notifications for pet parents. Mallory did a wonderful grooming on my little maltese who was very nervous. My little Riley is getting older and Mallory was so kind and gentle with him.This was my first visit to Paws & Claws my groomer in my area of Bristol is not available any more. I can see that Mallory loves dogs and i want to thank her for taking good care of my little man. Thank you again Mallory Riley looks adorable.

Jeff Bushorr was an OUTSTANDING trainer. We came with our seven (7) month Lexie, King Charles Cavalier. His knowledge of the various breeds and behaviors is extensive. He provided wonderful insight, tools, examples and personal experiences that helped us tremendously. As he said "patience, consistency and 10-15 min. a day", will ultimately give us a well trained pup. The step-by-step training materials provided were/are/and will be a great reference as we work on each area to help our little Lexie be a good girl. We have targeted the key areas we needed her to master upfront, and will definately be working through the others. All the training Jeff provided, along with his wonderful encouragement was so helpful. HIGHLY recommend Jeff as a trainer for any dog or age they may be. Thank you Jeff for such a great experience!

10 out of 5. My pup doesn’t do well alone in the house so finding a place for him to stay over a weekend was a challenge. But Paws took him in and he was a changed lil man.Paws gave us constant updates on how he did and what he was up too. Very extra, but I don’t trust any other place to watch our dog other than Paws and Claws. Highly recommend for a weekend stay.As a side note, we’ve taken our pup here for grooming for about a year now and they do an excellent job. Paws is an awesome place.

We have been to several pet day cares in Rochester over the course of our dog's 5 year life but Paws is beyond anything we have ever been to. It is literally Disney for Dogs. I was blown away after our tour of the facility. Molly has done day care and an overnight stay. And loves it. The even mention of "paws" gives her the zoomies. We love it. And hope its around for a very long time.

I cannot say enough good things about Paws + Claws and the training programs with Jeff! We have taken 3 training classes with our pup, Blayze, and have had a beyond amazing experience each time. Jeff truly loves working with dogs and my pup can’t get enough of him! He has helped us learn so much about Blayze and how to communicate with him properly to set him up for success, and Blayze has gained so much confidence as a growing teen puppy. From daycare, to advanced training courses, we will always recommend Paws + Claws over and over again. 11/10!

I absolutely love paws and claws and so does my pup! Some might consider me to be a bit particular when it comes to the care of my fur baby and this facility and their staff fulfills all my needs! They not only run an amazing daycare but also do a wonderful job with grooming!! The staff is friendly, responsible and accommodating! Highly recommend!

I have attended other obedience classes with other dogs and trainers over the years - this was the best! We have a stubborn young beagle (Max) and Jeff Bushorr's training (Teen Puppy class) was extremely helpful and fun. Jeff went above and beyond, including a private session when we were unable to attend the regular class one week.I was impressed not only with the classroom instruction but also the detailed follow-up emails covering what we had learned in class with homework exercises to continue at home during the week.I won't say that Max is a model citizen yet but he's a heck of lot closer. He's still a beagle and still wants to follow his nose wherever that takes him. Previously though, I couldn't distract him from that (his nose), almost like he was in a trance. But now we're even working on "heel" by my side and that requires his attention to me even over his nose - if you knew Max you would agree - that's an amazing development.I had to laugh when Jeff queued up "Pomp and Circumstance" on graduation night for the graduating pooches, but it was fun. We will certainly be back for follow-up training. This was worth every penny!

Just completed a training class with Trainer, Jeff Bushorr. Jeff rocks! He is obviously a trainer who loves the dogs and encourages both them and their people with positive feedback and affirmations.Jeff really helped Peanut come out of her shyness and grow in confidence. We could see her progress week to week. . . and she couldn't wait to get inside the training room to see Jeff!We highly recommend Jeff Bushorr or Fran Schoenfeld sho has also worked with Peanut. Paws and Claws is very fortunate to have Jeff and Fran on staff.I might add that we use Paws and Claws for daycare a couple of times a month and the staff is extremely attentive, friendly, and they energetically greet you with valet service bringing the dogs in and out. Wonderful business!

If you want your dog to contract kennel cough, then bring them to Paws & Claws. Don’t take my word for it….. call Perinton veterinary or Bayview animal hospital and ask their opinion on Paws & Claws. I was told to stay away and unfortunately I didn’t. My poor dog has contracted kennel cough from Paws & Claws twice in 5 months!!!!

I have been taking my Golden Retriever, Cooper, here since he was a puppy. He always has the best time, comes home exhausted and happy. I get him groomed once a month, and couldn’t be happier with the quality of work the groomers perform. Emily and her entire team treat every animal that comes through their doors like their own, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for any dog or cat boarding and grooming needs!

They are ok….we were pet-sitting for one of our friends and had gone to pick up the baby. The understanding was that the fur-baby will be bathed before we picked him up but they just groomed him. I am not aware if there was an extra charge for bathing vs grooming but I’d expect at the least to tell upfront that they did not give a bath. So, not a good experience but then again we have taken their service only once.

BEST DOG TRAINER!! I'm so grateful I found dog trainer Jeff Bushorr and Paws and Claws. The training classes provided me with the skills to parent my puppy in an effective way. When I had to miss class due to a conflict, Jeff went out of his way to meet with me on a weekend so I could learn what I missed. He communicated to the class via email, providing articles, handouts and homework to practice with our dogs. He also gave us his cell number in case we ever needed to reach him with a question or concern. I learned so much from Jeff and highly recommend his classes to all dog owners!

We have brought our dog here a number of times for boarding services while out of town and have never had any issues. My wife loves the email updates with pictures we get. And you can tell how much our dog likes it here by how excited he gets when he realizes where we are when we drop him off.

Boarded my 1.5 year old golden here twice and he had a blast! I honestly think he was sad to be home and not with the new friends he made! Love that they send pictures daily with an update on him! We will definitely use again in the future.

We just completed an adult dog class with Jeff Bushorr. My dog and I loved it! The class content was practical and useful for every day situations. Jeff has a great demeanor with both the people and their pets. He individualized his instruction and gave me more confidence in handling my dog. Would highly recommend!

My pup loves boarding here when we go put of town. We also have her groomed here and they do a much better job than others in the area I have tried!
