This was our first time here! There were lots of donut options and lots of hot dogs and mozzarella stick options. So many bubble tea options too, took me a few minutes to decide! It took a long time for our hot food to be done but it was worth the wait! We will be back to try more stuff! And check out the Mongolian bbq place that is inside too.

I'd tried something like this outside of NY State before and enjoyed it, so I decided to give this Rochester Mochinut location a try. As some reviews point out, this location does have a bit of a rundown appearance. On the upside, service was fine. The donuts themselves are more expensive than at most donut shops though. They're also extremely colorful, which is sure to be appealing to kids but doesn't do much for me as an adult. Adding additional colorful toppings that don't complement the glaze flavors makes little sense to me. Fruit Loops on top of pistachio glaze - why? The actual glaze flavoring itself could have been more authentic too. But, hey, it's a bright, colorful donut, not a fancy pastry. Unfortunately, the taste suggested that they allow these things to sit around for too long. What I ordered wasn't stale. But, it wasn't very fresh tasting either. Perhaps this type of donut has an extremely limited shelf life? Based on other reviews, if I had come at a different time of day when the donuts had just been made, I'd likely have had a different experience. But, if this is one of those food items that needs to be fresh out of the fryer to be enjoyed, that's a problem. It's too much trouble to try to time that out. Other donuts tend to hold up well enough throughout the day, such that it's safe to buy and eat them in the afternoon even though they were cooked early in the morning. Not the case here it seems. I'm not really trying to discourage anyone from giving this place a try. It wasn't some horrible experience or anything like that. So, if you're curious, give it a go, especially if you have kids who like sugar and bright colors.

We stopped on a whim for lunch. Strangely, we stood in the foyer waiting to be seated. Please don't walk in and grab a bowl; start making your bowl..take it over. They cook right in front of you, hibachi style. The food was delicious. They have delicious doughnuts and amazing "corn dogs.".Kid-friendliness: Super nice to our 7 year old who made his own dish...he loved it

We had to give it a try at least once, though the price was pretty high for our large family. We ordered a six pack of donuts (they came out to $3.15 each). I was expecting a bit more unique flavor, like filling or differently seasoned dough, but they all had the same taste other than the toppings. The texture was similar to fried dough. We went between 5:30 and 6 on a Saturday and there was no line at all. I’ve heard the wait is longer if you order tea or hot dogs. All in all, we probably won’t go again, but it was a fun excursion to try once.

The mochinuts were delicious. My favorite was the fruity pebble. The hot dogs were pretty good as well. I'd recommend getting something to dunk them in. The atmosphere was really cute. You can order ahead to avoid waiting for the hotdogs to be made.

I would come here every week if it were closer to me! The potato half&half and hot Cheeto rice hotdogs were delicious and filling. We got matcha and ube brown sugar bubble tea to drink and it was some of the best I’ve had - and comes in a cute container. The mochi donuts were excellent. Pictured here are Taro, Churro, and Red Velvet (Christmas Special). There is plenty of comfortable seating available. Will be back!

It was okay. We got a corn dog, cookies and creme donut, and bubble tea. The bubble teas didn’t come in the cute cup as advertised so we returned one. The one we kept was very milky. The corn dog was very very greasy. The donut was also greasy but was good. They were out of a lot of flavors of donut when we went. Took about 20-25 minutes.

Went the day after the grand opening! I give this establish for the food, preparation time, aesthetic a 10/10. Definitely would return. We got one of each donut to try, and brown sugar bobas. We tried the corn dogs as well and they where delicious and fresh. There will be a slight wait time due to the “grand opening” my food didn’t take that long.

SO GOOD. I went on Monday, the day after they opened, at around 630 PM and was there 30 mins from start to finish. I got a brown sugar boba and 6 pack of donuts. The boba was just ok, nothing special but not bad. It'd be better with more brown sugar syrup. The donuts are fantastic! Well worth the wait. They're pricier because they're trendy (~$19 for a 6 pack) but I really wanted to try them to see if they were worth the hype. They're delicious -- light and airy on the inside with a slight crunch when you bite into it. The toppings were packed with flavor. My favorite so far was the cookies and cream. I'll definitely be back to try more! They also have Korean-style corn dogs and I want to try them but it was a 30+ minute wait for one, so I'll give that a try next time.

Fun new place in Henrietta to get some different style of donuts as well as corn dogs.Everything is fairly speedy, except for the corn dogs which I believe they make to order, so you'll be having to wait some 5-10 minutes but probably more depending on how many people before you ordered corn dogs.I've been there twice. The first time I waited 45 minutes as it was relatively full of people. The second time around 15.Food was delicious tho!

These donuts are SO good! Kind of like a French cruller with flavored icings on top. I would have loved to try one of the hot dogs but it could be an almost 20 min wait for one and I didn't have the time. I tried the fruity pepples, guava and coffee. I would have tried way more but they are a bit pricey and the flavors change throughout the day so you never know what they'll have available.

So worth the visit. I have been waiting for this place to open! The batter in the all beef hotdogs is great. My husband had the mozzarella version and enjoyed it as well. All the donuts are crispy on the outside but light and fluffy on the inside. They tear apart easy for sharing! They have seating inside and have decorated it nicely. They put up signage saying they're opening a Mongolian BBQ place up in the building soon as well. Donuts are definitely worth the price. Busy since it's so new. I will be visiting again.

Oh my goodness!! Hands down the best place. I was in town and came here for dessert. They have a large variety of different flavor/ toppings of donuts. I got the reeces pieces and they have milk tea with boba if you choose. I got brown sugar caramel with boba. I made sure to eat this slowly and enjoy it. I wish this was something I had in my hometown! You have to try if you haven’t already! Look at these options!! Service was phenomenal. It was my first time here and she broke everything down for me very well. They were kind, respective and very clean.

Went the day after they opened and waited for 2 hours. Ordered a dozen donuts so we got to try almost every flavor they had available. They were very good - love the chewy dough. Bubble tea was as expected. We tried the Thai tea and coffee flavors. We're planning to go back to try more flavors of donuts and the hot dogs, maybe when they're less busy.

I would have to agree with some other comments about staffing. When I was waiting for my corn dogs, there were kids working and serving the milk teas. Adequate staffing should have been put into place before a grand opening. Other than that, after the long wait I was able to enjoy the corn dogs. I went to this place in New Jersey so I knew the taste would be good. Very delicious! I hope over time it will run more efficient.

From a visual stand point, they look delicious but from our first taste, we weren't impressed. Tastes very similar to fried dough so we are doubtful that it's actually made out of rice. Also, there's nothing really special about them except for their presentation. And their price tag is $3 a donut?! It's a nice novelty item but we have no plans on returning. We bought Vietnamese coffee, dark chocolate, mango, matcha, banana and taro.

Visited today with my kids and everything was great. It was pretty busy so we waited a couple minutes for drinks. The Brown Sugar Ube drink is so delicious as well as the mango tea and strawberry tea. I also love the donuts! They resemble fried dough in flavor and the different flavors and toppings were all so good. I would definitely return.

Don't get the boba- the bobas weren't fresh, and the tea was sub-par at best. Mochinuts were good- but in my opinion, they are not really worth the price. Loved the hot cheeto half and half- overall experience was 2.5/5 stars. It's very pricey for not that great of stuff. It's definitely a good one off, but the only reason I would go back is for the hot dogs

The donuts were a 10/10, not overly sweet and so chewy! I will definitely recommend. I also tried the cheet potato corndog and it was good but not wow. I didnt finish it, very crunchy and fried but not worth the calories

First time trying this variety of pastry and I'm happy to say that they're delicious! They're not donuts but more like freshly fried dough with toppings. I chose cheesecake, banana, peanut butter, mango, original and Vietnamese coffee. These are better enjoyed with a fork and knife and sharing the box as a dessert would be well received.

A little bit of a wait for this experience was well worth it. The coffee drink with tapioca was one of the best! The donuts were unique and delicious. Although I was very skeptical about the corn dog looking things, the potato mozzarella was fabulous. We will be back for sure.

For ME, Mochinut was 6/10. Really more the experience of a new place but nothing really stood out. All of the donuts tasted the same. My favorite donut was the Fruity Pebbles. I would go one more time only to try the Hot Cheetos dog. Also took them 25 minutes to make my hot dogs (3). It wasn’t packed either which was nice. $39.38 for 6 donuts and 3 hot dogs.

I went to Mochinut Rochester this past weekend and all I have are good things to say. I ordered on the self service machine inside and I didn’t have to wait long for my order. I got an ube bubble tea, two mochi donuts and two Korean corn dogs. The corn dogs were the original mozzarella and hot Cheetos mozzarella. My husband had the hot Cheetos one and said it was good. I had the original and I thought it was really good. I did add my own sugar to it because that’s how I usually like them. The bubble tea was pretty good as well. I loved the mochi donuts. They were delicious. The only thing I wish is that they had more sauces. I asked for sauces and they only had ketchup and mustard. Overall it was great and I would definitely go again.

We finally got a mochi donut place here in Rochester and it's wonderful! I remember having these donuts for the first time from Mitsuwa in Edgewater, NJ and I've always prayed Rochester would open one.Upon entering, the ordering process was a bit confusing. Luckily, a kind person informed me in order to order, you just go directly up to the counter. You first tell them the total number of donuts you'd like, then select the ones your heart desires. The process to order the donuts/check-out was fairly quick. What differentiates mochi donuts from regular donuts is the fact they're light, chewy and have a very soft texture. The frosting is also very light and not overly sweet. These are decorated beautifully and taste delicious.I quickly realized why there was such a quantity of people waiting inside the shop. I wanted to try their hotdogs which is basically a corndog but with a unique exterior. I ordered a single one, and the wait for this was approximately 25 minutes. I found this rather odd and besides the long wait, I personally didn't find the hotdog enjoyable.I'd gladly return for the donuts and donuts alone.

New donut treat in town. Same donut different topping 😋. I tried a doze and will be back to try their other flavors. Donuts have a nostalgia taste of carnival fried dough. The place was clean and the staff were nice and happy to see me there 👍. Had a Green Tea Macha to go, it was delicious and probably one of the best flavored none powered taste compared to other places. Will be definitely adding this place as a go to. They have other treats I haven’t tried like their mochinut-ball, hot dog, potato or mozzarella on a stick. I look forward coming back with the family and try their other treats.

I’ve never written a review before but I genuinely feel like people need to be warned not to go to this place. I really wanted to love this place and I was so excited to try it, but the Jefferson road location is disgusting. I’m not talking “someone walked in right before us with muddy boots on” dirty floors, this is weeks of sticky, gross, unmopped floors. The bench in the entry way was CAKED with grime, the white tables had so much build up on the legs of them that they’d need to be scraped clean. There was a pair of dirty kitchen tongs on the floor in the bathroom (which smelled like a dead animal, there’s no way it was an.. upset stomach situation.. it was a very distinct rotting animal smell) and I watched TWO employees walk over top of them without picking them up. My three year old wouldn’t even use the toilet, he said he couldn’t hold his breath that long. The sink was stuck on and wouldn’t shut off. Everything from the ceiling to floor was DIRTY, the entire building needs to be shut down. I was so turned off by the lack of cleanliness that I couldn’t eat. If that’s what the front of house looks like imagine the kitchens. I don’t know how this place is legally operating at such disgusting levels but for your own saftey I would not recommend eating here.

Went in on a Wednesday morning right as they opened. Waited only 10 minutes to be served. The staff was very busy as the line was getting longer and longer by the minute. Ordered half a dozen donuts in matcha, dark chocolate, churro, coffee, white chocolate raspberry and lastly cookies 'n cream. We also got four of their rice dogs two original, one potato and one crunch cereal. Really enjoyed the donuts, churro was my favorite personally and the rice dogs were pretty good, would definitely come back for more donuts to explore more flavors.
