All the staff at Cats and Critters are highly professional, very caring for not only their patients but for the pet parent too! In the 9 years I have been taking my kitty to Dr Hach she never ceases to amaze me with her gentleness and intuitiveness to the needs of my kitty with each visit. She is a highly experienced vet whom we trust and I am so thankful to her and all the wonderful staff at Cats and Critters!

Very healthy place to bring my kitty, Precious, who lived to be almost 21 years old. During our visits there was always exceptional knowledge and care. They even sent me a card. My thank you is long overdue. I really appreciate their expertise and kindness while helping me manage Precious's health.

Cats & Critters is a beautiful place where they genuinely care for your pets. We have been taking our kitty there for years and have received exceptional service every time. Dr Hach is amazing at what she does, and all the techs have shown an extremely high amount of skill and compassion in our visits. We are glad that we have such a great vet clinic in Rochester!

Cats & Critters is a wonderful practice. They are friendly, knowledgable, and take good care of my pet rabbit. I am very happy to have my rabbit a patient of Dr. Hach’s!

I don't think I could dream up a better cat vet. The waiting room has little cubbies next to seating for your carrier so that your cat has less stress. All the office employees are super kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Drs, techs, and office staff are quick to respond to messages and emails. Medicines are filled quickly and rx foods are always in stock. You get into a room very quickly and I have really waited over 10 minutes. The rooms are clean and spacious and some even have great windows for your cats viewing pleasure. I've seen the critter specialist Dr for healthy rats checkups and was impressed at her deftness and handling of the two squirming girls. My favorite vet is Dr. Hach. I should change that to my favorite cat vet EVER. The way the doctor speaks with and handles even the sickest or most stressed cat is incredible. It will make you start questioning if the Dr. is psychic or maybe a cat in past life. She's just that amazing! She cares for my chronically ill cat that requires multiple medicines and new, strange problems that periodically pop up. Dr. Hach is not afraid to consult with other vets or refer you to specialists and handles conversations about quality of life with honesty and compassion. It's nearly impossible to get into a new vet practice and there are long waits for appointment times. This is a city-wide and probably statewide and further. Vet clinics are increasingly understaffed and booked full but Cats & Critters continues to provide amazing, trustworthy services with smiles, skills and compassion.

I have been with Dr. J. Hach for nearly 20 years. From an especially-needed home visit for a particularly difficult euthanasia to ongoing care for various adult & senior cats I've adopted, the vets (in general) and Dr. Hach (in particular) have always offered great care, consideration, and fair value. As long as I keep cats, my cats will come here. There is, very frankly, no criticism I can offer of this practice (and I work in human healthcare, so I have a pretty high standard). If I had an "ask" of the practice, it would be restarting their boarding program: this is one place my current pet LIKED boarding when I am out of town!

I have nothing but great things to say about my recent visit to Cats and Critters. My 16 year old cat, Boo, went for a quality of life check and the staff was amazingly supportive of me the entire visit. I was very emotional and had to make a really challenging decision and they were so thoughtful in the options they provided and how they handled the entire visit. What a caring group of people!!!!!!!

I just came across old receipts which brought back memories of taking our guinea pigs to Cats & Critters between 2001, when we got our first two piggies, Scruffles and Piggles, through 2015 when our last one, Bitsy, had her final appointment. There was also Pippi, Snowball (our surprise male), Pebbles, Patches, Pepper, Sheila and Addie, as well as a hamster named Checkers. We had many well and sick visits during those 15 years. I felt so lucky to have found such a caring place to take care of our precious fur babies. Drs. Hach and Couture were so knowledgeable and compassionate. The entire staff was wonderful. I knew this was a place I could trust to give my pets the very best care.

After moving to the area last year, my partner and I chose Cats & Critters as our new vet because of their dedication to cats and all the joys that come with them. Our kitty Alfie has had chronic constipation for a few years now and after moving a few times I can confidently say Cats & Critters has provided the best level of service for his condition. They seem to genuinely care about his progress and check in to make sure he's okay after visits. After emergency hospitalization, Cats & Critters was the one that recommended the current medication Alfie is on that is making his constipation as manageable as possible - barely noticeable. He's a happy kitty living his best life thanks to C&C. Dr. Hach has provided us quality care so far and I'm looking forward to seeing her with my new kitty soon! Attached is a photo of Alfie falling asleep in the room because he got very comfy waiting for the doctor.

My baby girl Luna has been to many vets.Cats & Critters really do care about our baby's. They have diagnosed her where as others just gave her medicine and the issues continued .Thank you for all of your help ,support and understanding. They go above and beyond their job.

The several visits I went in over the past years, they were good. But the vet that was checking him got over intense and told me to drug my cat prior to each visit. So that is the reason why I haven't brought him in. I got a card that he is overdue on his FVRCP Vaccine and I called to schedule it, they told me over the phone that it has been 3 years so they drop us as a client. They are currently not accepting new clients. Lame excuse. Very disappointing.

It’s really difficult to find a rabbit savvy vet that truly knows what their talking about. Dr. Hach is absolutely wonderful. She takes extra care with Watson and his sensitive tummy, but also doesn’t undermine my own knowledge of rabbit care. Each time I’ve been in to the office, it’s been wonderful. I would recommend this practice to anybody looking for a rabbit vet!

I loved coming here with my cat for years, but after the takeover by Thrive I just don't think I'll continue. I blame Thrive for creating a toxic environment where the last few times I've brought my cat in for a checkup it's been rushed and little things keep adding up like the doctor didn't check up on his teeth despite them performing his oral surgery 3 years ago. The employees are great and I've always had great interactions with them, but I can tell that morale has absolutely tanked over the past 2 years and I feel so bad for everyone that works there because I can't imagine what it must be like to deal with these external forces. If anything ever changes as far as corporate ownership I'll be back in a heartbeat but I'm not holding my breath. There's nothing egregiously bad about this place but if you came here a few years ago it was a 6/5 star experience and it's just not even close anymore.

I moved from Pittsford Vet to here about a year ago, and what a HUGE difference. Staff is kind, knowledgeable & very professional. Very well organized, easy to make appointments, and top notch medical care for my kitties. The staff really goes out of their way to make sure you’re completely comfortable with you & your pets. Really love this place.

We have brought our cat to Cats & Critters for five years, and as he's developed some medical issues we've been in increasingly often. The staff there have always been very friendly, it's clear they genuinely care about our cat. When we board him, we always get a very cute "report card" with pictures of him playing with the staff. Dr Hach is great about helping us understand the cat's medical needs and getting back to us promptly. Great vet, would recommend.

I have been going to Cats & Critters for several years for both cat and rabbit care and they have always provided excellent service. This office is great for cat and rabbit owners because it's quiet and calm. The doctors and staff are always courteous and professional and provide great care.

They did my ferret a great service with the cremation process. My last is finally with his brothers and sisters. They've also gotten my cat in asap when we had an emergency. Very kind and wonderful people who care so much about the pets they see. They treated him like family and I didn't have to worry about his severe anxiety and stress when I had to leave him.

I totally love Cats & Critters, and I would trust my little kitty to no one else. I took my previous cat there for her whole life, 21 years, and will with my new best friend. Dr. Hach is very thorough and extremely caring with all of the patients she treats, and takes time to make sure you have all the information and plan to take care of your best friend.

We would highly recommend this vet to any cat owner - all of the staff, especially Dr. Gray, Sophie, and Shannon were extremely compassionate and supportive as we went through difficult times & terminal illness with our senior cat. Dr. Gray did a phenomenal job normalizing extremely difficult conversations, laying out the different options and likely prognoses/outcomes, all the while being so kind and understanding. Both Dr. Gray and Dr. Hach demonstrated great skill and knowledge whenever they interacted with our cat and clearly explained what was happening.

The staff at cats and critters is compassionate, kind and honest. They were sweet to me and my ferret during a very difficult and sad time. The doctor even wrote me a personalized sympathy card. Thank you all for your kindness.

I have been using this vet since I was a preteen, and more than 20 years later, they still give a lot of heart, and compassion for the pets and their humans. I have lost a few furry friends over the years, and Cat and Critters always send a condolence card to me.I know I can trust them, and they communicate with me very well when I have questions and concerns, even when I call them days before the appointment to add notes to my pet’s file.

Cats & Critters refused to help my cat during her time of need... Shame on you!Note: 4/5/23 I called Gina to explain my review.FYI: Animal Intermediate Care @ 896 Ridge Road Webster is a stand up vet that provided care for my pet in a time of need, I highly recommend them.

This place is well worth it. They specialize in small animals and the exam rooms are organized for my cats to climb, jump, and hide in. They make sure your pets are comfortable before the exam. Dr. Gray and Jess were amazing with my one cat. He was so afraid to come out but they were patient with him and did everything to keep him feeling relaxed. They answered any and all questions I had about helping my cats. I am so glad we found this place!

Can't recommend this place enough. My cat gets frequent, very persistent ear infections, and our previous vet didn't even seem to care about determining an underlying cause. Dr. Gray is very informative, is attentive to my cat's issues as well as my concerns, and is always transparent about costs.I also really appreciate that they always have your exam room ready when you arrive and you can take your cat right in there as soon as you walk in the door. No waiting in a crowded waiting room with a nervous cat and however many other loud, strange animals.

I can't imagine taking our animals anywhere else. They're so good to our cats and they're so knowledgeable. All the staff really care about their job and the animals they provide for. They're always kind and courteous and always explain everything well. We had an emergency in December with one of our cats and they squeezed us in same day. The vet also reached out the next day to see how he was doing. Waits are always reasonable and I feel their prices are too. What really sealed the deal for me is their boarding service. We were so impressed by their facilities when they gave us a tour, really clean and so many toys. It was very reasonably priced and I felt really relaxed on my vacation knowing my boys were taken care of. I'm one of *those* pet parents but they didn't hesitate in letting me know to call or email for reports and when I did they didn't make me feel like I was annoying or interrupting anything. My big guy gets anxious without his little buddy and Cats and Critters were very accommodating. My favorite part about the whole boarding experience is the report card and pages of pictures with notes! I highly recommend Cats and Critters. They're the best.

I have been coming here since I first moved to Rochester. They are efficient and great at providing care! I appreciate the follow ups, advice, flexibility and just everything about the environment and staff. I’ve since moved from downtown and still commute bc I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my babies. Thank you so much! 10/10 recommend.

I don’t think I can say enough good about this place. They have the best doctors and staff that have the best bedside manor I have ever experienced. They take the time to explain everything to you and don’t make the appointment feel rushed. I remember hearing about the practice and how they may be a little more expensive than other places but every dollar is well spent here.

My fur babies have been going to Cats and Critters for almost 20 years. Dr. Hauch is a caring genuine veterinarian. Her compassion for both the pets and the families shows and it's passed down to her staff. I can't say enough about Dr. Hauch and the staff at Cats and Critters. All of them are wonderful caring people. Highly recommend this facility!
