I returned an item that was suggested by a clerk to be what I needed. Unfortunately, It did not correspond to what I asked for. I was refused a refund because "you opened the package". How else does a buyer read the description for installation without opening the container? In a small town, respecting a regular buyer is essential! I will never go to Chatham Hardware again to be so disrespected. I suggest potential customers use other local hardware stores in the area.

A real hardware store, just like the old days. Everything you might need, all organized perfectly. And the friendly staff can direct you to exactly where you need to look. Yeah, it might cost a few cents more, but it's worth it.

Great addition to our small town of Chatham. Has everything you can get at the big hardware stores with that special attention you get from your small local business. Great staff. I am sure you will enjoy the experience of shopping this store.

Chatham Hardware is always a pleasant experience. They help you out. They know where things are. If they tell me something I want is in aisle 19, I know it is a few steps away rather than down the block a ways.It's been awhile since my last review. I ĺove this store and the people who run it. If I could leave zero stars I would!!!! Went in on Saturday and the staff did not ask if they could help me. Instead, they told me that they were closing and I had only a few minutes to find what I needed. My wife bough chicks from them and they accidentally put a deformed chick in the box. When I returned the next day with the chick, they said they could not take it back because they didn't know where it had been. Thats beside the point! Were you going to put the chick with a lethal deformity back in with the rest of the chicks to be sold again? The chick needed to be euthanized and that became my responsibility. Not right!

Bought my Husqvarna 540i XP at Chatham Hardware. Good service at a fair price. I would rather buy local for a few bucks more. If you don't, great places like this won't exist.

Chatham Hardware is an ACE hardware store. Very complete. Owner manager was there to help me. I have the ACE rewards points card which is good nationwide. Right off route 66 in chatham. NY.

Not impressed with the staff. The selection of dog items are very small and prices are not reasonable.Rules fluctuate about dogs being allowed in and out of store.On a couple occasions my puppy was allowed in store. As long as he was being carried. They have 3-4 dogs roaming the store freely.Which makes a shopping expierence far from convienent. Another time, I was denied access with my puppy, by a different staff member rudley.I prefer letting my dog choose a toy and spending time in a store where I can take my time making the right choice of purchase. I certainly won't be returning. Head to Agway!

Staff are always informative and friendly, the cats and dogs there are too! Has most bits and Bob's that you need from a hardware store. Good paint selection, lots of tools, pet foods, gardening supplies and lots of hardware.

This place has what you need 95% of the time and the service is always attentive and friendly. You may pay 25 cents more here or there, but it's nominal and worth every penny for the convenience and inventory.

Management can be rude.high prices on a lot of their products and very slow repair work if u bring in equipment for repairs.Had a tire I needed fixed for 2 weeks and I picked it up still not fixed

Nice local store, good variety of products, has repair services. Try the eggs. One of the ladies that works there brings them in from her chickens.
