When I go to work every morning my favorite part is coming into town. The smell of coffee wafting over Charlotteville is so inviting and friendly, just like the owners, workers and customers that frequent this quaint small store. The coffee is never bitter, it’s always perfectly brewed and it tastes like Sunday brunch with loved ones every time. I am so happy that Mark runs this lovely slice of hometown glory.

Mark is a great guy and makes amazing coffee I've enjoyed bags of Peruvian dark roast and really good decaf. He carries the best a2 grassfed pasture raised milk, kefir, butter around. I had a really good breakfast sandwich there and not only does he sell bags of coffee but he has hot coffee ready at least every morning maybe it's ready all day? Also has a stand with local maple syrup and some natural chemical free products such as bug spray etc.

If you happen to living in, traveling through, or inexplicably lost in the beautiful charlotte valley I highly recommend you make a stop at the lovely and quaint Charlotteville general store! Mark and Dale are always courteous and professional and are really not half bad once you get to know them. The caffeinated concoctions from the new espresso maker are a delight and the drip coffee is perfectly roasted and brewed for a morning on the farm or in the woods. They also have everything you could possibly need from Swedish fish to live bait and cold beer to wash em down! This is community at its finest. Support the Charlotteville general store and everything they stand for.

Great service from this amazing local shop. I called before going to make sure they had the items I was looking for milk, eggs, ice, and gas. The owner let me know he had everything but gas which will be delivered around 1pm today. A few minutes passed by and I was on my way already when he called me back and let me know the gas arrived early. Once I arrived, he helped me quickly find the items I needed gave me a breakfast and lunch menu, and let me sample his hand pressed coffee which was delicious! Great service!

Sort of happenstance that I came across this store. I had a flat tire not to far up the road with no service. Luckily a passerby gave me a lift to the general store where the owner was kind enough to let me use their phone. He also provided me with one of the best cups a coffee I've had around the area and it turns out they sell beverages I haven't been able to find at other grocery stores. I will be coming back for the locally roasted coffee and look forward to when the expresso shop is up and running. A big thank you to the owner Mark for his hospitality and the woman who gave me a lift.

A very welcoming general store with a focus on higher quality products. I had gone there to buy coffee and walked out with much more. Fresh baked breads, too, including a heavy-duty sourdough.
