Love this place! Been to Mel's a few times now, I've never been disappointed. Both breakfast and lunch are very good, the ingredients are fresh, portions are plenty and the staff is friendly. I could tell that it's the place where the locals go to eat, beats a chain everytime.I haven't told you about best part yet, Mel's is also an authentic country bakery, so, bring home desert. Instead of listing what I love, It's just easier to say, I have not found anything I do not like. I've included a picture of what I brought home today.

Have been there several times and have always had good food and service. This past week I had gone with a friend for breakfast and it wasn't so good, the food was served very fast but was not hot at all. I had sent it back and all they did was throw it back on the grill to heat it up, I was not happy with cold potatoes and cold French toast. My friends and family will not go back for a long time. Oh, and by the way, our waitress was great.👎

When you walk in the door your looking at pies, bread, Donuts apple fritters big ones too $4 each and they have a peach fritter something new to me everything looks good there and you'll see some stuff for sale that you can buy they have them on the Shelf there by your table nice stuff bathroom is clean really nice waitress we had she was really nice except they don't come by at a table to find out if you need any more drinks or coffee I noticed where we sat by the window our floor was really nasty it was dirty it's like they've never clean the floors and no you do not need a mask I will be going back they're only open until 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. but I'm Fridays they're open until 7 p.m.

Nice little surprise we found when we accidentally turned the wrong way! We were starving too!We had big battered fish for the lenten season. Cooked extremely well. Perfect amount of batter. There were a lot of side dishes to choose from -- and the portions were plentiful.The staff was friendly & attentive. The atmosphere reminded me of a diner where people frequent all the time & have a good relationship with the community.This eatery doubles as a bakery soWe bought a couple of canoli on the way out. Yum!

It was my first time here. Seating is very limited, which is unfortunate because my breakfast was delicious!!. I had their homemade rye with my breakfast. I will definitely be going here again.Parking: In a plaza, but when it's busy. It's difficult to find a spot.

Staff were super friendly, welcoming and patient with my 2 boys. Food was amazing easily the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Whenever I visit family out here from Massachusetts I’m gonna have to make time to stop here.

We had 2 cakes and 30 cupcakes made for a bee themed birthday party and they turned out great! Really tasty and attractive!! Very pleased, highly recommended business

Amazing home made breakfast! I got a croissant breakfast sandwich and was shocked when I realized the croissant was homemade and half the size of my large takeout box. Bacon was crisp and egg was nice and thin on the sandwich (I despise when a breakfast sandwich has too much egg) This sandwich was perfectly balanced and the hashbrowns were sooo good also! Tried the donuts too while they were delicious, I've definitely have had some better donuts other places. I was very happy about the price of everything too! For 2 meals and 2 donuts it cost $18...YOU CANT BEAT THAT! Any other place you eat at nowadays costs over 20 bucks to eat! I was very impressed with the quality and value of this cozy cute place.

We drove 30 miles to eat breakfast at this restaurant😋! My mom and sister went there for breakfast and told me I would not be disappointed. So, off we went🙂. Let me tell ya'll it was worth the drive! The atmosphere has that small town dinner vibe ! The service was wonderful😁! I had steak and eggs and it was soooo gooood!The steak was a nice cut and cooked wonderfully. There toast is homemade😋! They also have homade baked goodes. You must try some on your way out!!! All in all I can't wait to stop there again😀.

Always delicious. I usually get breakfast but this time I got the Thanksgiving platter. I love the baked goods, fresh baked bread and pastries. The ambiance is total country kitchen and a great place to shop for Christmas gifts too.

The food was delicious but it was hard to enjoy because their was so many flies all over. As we were cashing out we passed on the desert because there was 4 flies crawling all over the pastries in the glass display case. It had just rained and both doors were wide open so all the flying insects made there way inside. I would suggest take out.

I had a very good lunch after randomly stopping while driving home from a trip. Reasonable prices and tasty food--the fries were especially good. The server was friendly and attentive and there was plenty of seating available both indoor and out.I'm very glad I also purchased a package of homemade chocolate chip cookies to go as well. They are some of the best cookies I've ever had! There are some arts & crafts for sale as well but keep in mind that it is CASH ONLY for these items. I think I'd like to make the drive out again sometime to try the breakfast.

We stopped because the sign said bakery. When we went in we realized it was also a restaurant. Good home cooked meal. The German potato salad was awesome. We bought a loaf of apple fritter bread and made French toast with it. Everything from food, fish fry $11.99 to the dozen snicker doodles for $6, are really well priced and delicious. This was out second visit. The fritter bread and yes a chocolate cream pie came home with us. Nice gift shop and local honey. Definitely worth the stop!

This is the cutest diner. There food is so fresh and delicious. Our server was so nice. And the bakery had such good stuff. I wish it was closer id have breakfast there all the time!
