I tried the "Self Serve Dog Wash." It worked out really well. I bought 5 baths for $40 so I could do all of my dogs for $8 each. I took the two bravest pups as a test run. The dogs were secured in the tub with a tether. Four several types of shampoos, a waterproof apron, and towels are provided. Use the powerful dryer right in the tub. Don't forget the brush like I did. The floor gets slippery, so be careful. Update: The wash area was renovated. New nozzles for the hose and dryer were present. Clips to tie your dog on the floor were added, so you can safely clean out the tub, which some people don't do. I think employees should check the area, especially on busy days, because sometimes I have to clean out the hair left behind by other dog owners.

Great pet store that's well stocked in a huge variety of foods including raw, they carry many treats and even local branded stuff for dogs. They also have a self-service dog wash and a vet clinic in the corner. Overall, it's a great local pet shop that I personally like more compared to big shops like Petco due to all of the variety of stuff they carry

Came here to possibly buy some new fish and immediately walked out. The tanks are dirty and unkept. That’s not the worst. The goldfish had about 20-30 dead fish swirling around on the top of the tank. This place should not be allowed to sell live animals

The staff was very friendly store waswell stocked and had basically everything you could need for your pet. That had some cat foods that I never even heard of or seen before. It is a lil pricey here but I am willing to pay a little more for different kinds of food for my kitty to try as she is a very picky eater. Would definitely recommend pet owners to visit for any supplies they may need.

Went in today and bought 2 Glo Cory’s and 2 marble hatchet fish. The guy working in the fish department with the long dark beard that helped me dropped one of the hatchet fish on the ground and as it was flopping on the ground he tried to scoop it up with a net, then eventually picked it up from its fins with his fingers with the fish dangling in the air and put it back in the bag. It was so excruciating to watch. Also. On top of that, there were dozens and dozens of dead fish on the bottoms of all the tanks and dead fish stuck to the filters in all the tanks. That should have been a warning sign. Now that I’m home, the fish is now suffering and floating around on the top of the tank. If you go to this location, steer clear from the fish department. Do yourself a favor.

This was my first time coming to VIP Petcare with my dog Piper and we will definitely be coming back! The staff at the Central Islip location is so welcoming and professional. They took their time with Piper and made sure she was comfortable before they started services. And the prices are half what they are at my regular veterinarian!

I placed an online order after receiving an email about a sale. I saved $35 on my order. That was great. I did curbside pickup for the 1st time. Very easy and quick. Employee came out in under 2 minutes. BEST PART, in the bag with the one item I ordered was an adorable note for my dog and a tennis ball and a treat. My dog was very happy. And so was I. Great experience!!! Very thoughtful!!

Okay, people, we are back at it and today we stepped into West Hempstead Darios Pizza. My first im impression walking in was I didn't see pizza I saw donuts. But I'm not here for a dessert I'm here to test the Pizza. Now I wanna say they have a few interesting pizzas. This is supposed to be a thin crispy pizza, that's fine but I felt the regular slice was too thin and it didn't have any flavor it was like eating a piece of paper. Now the other slices are good but not great. The same thing the slices were just too thin this day everything was coming out burnt. 3 out 5. I do t know what the pizza guy had but I don't know how he gave this pizza a a 8 if I heard right .

It's a nice store, well kept and not to busy, but way more of a dog store than a pet store. 5 aisles of dog stuff and one aisle for cats and one aisle for Everything else.But we got what we needed, will probably go back.

Gold fish do matter...even the feeder goldfish, which for years I've put in ponds or had in aquariums.Last week one was dead before I left the parking lot. Went back for replacement and with in 2 hours all I had purchase were also dead.

We have been going here since they opened and absolutely love the store!From day 1 CJ was always so great, they originally did not carry our dogs wet food but he made sure to get it in a few weeks later.Nikki is also super! She is always so friendly and very helpful.I had a question and called the store. I spoke to Victor. He spoke clearly and took the time to answer my questions, even going to get a pamphlet to get me the correct price on the vet service they have.The store is very clean and does NOT have the nasty smell like most other pet stores.We have never had a bad experience with this place and I am 100% sure if anyone ever had a problem it was handled correctly and happily.Thanks CJ & Staff, keep up the great work!
