BEST HARDWARE STORE !! been going to centereach hardware for over a decade and they are amazing. I own a local landscape company so I need the top of the line equipment and service to keep me going without any interruption to my business. Spend your money locally ! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐My visit to TrueValue Hardware Store was nothing short of outstanding. Upon entering, I was greeted by an amicable and efficient staff. An incredibly helpful employee assisted me in selecting the Stihl BR 800 C-E Magnum backpack blower. Their deep knowledge of the product was evident, as they expertly highlighted its features and benefits. I also purchased a chainsaw, and again, the employee’s product expertise was invaluable. This store is a treasure trove for anyone seeking top-quality hardware with the assurance of first-rate customer service. I can’t recommend TrueValue Hardware enough, especially for those interested in the Stihl range. Kudos to the fantastic team!

Closed on a Sunday? I can understand a late opening, but closed. That’s ridiculous. Half the world is off on Sunday and needs to get things done around the house.Guaranteed Sunday sales would be the highest the store would experience.Disappointed!!!

You can get help from people who know their products. It's a smaller store but the prices are very fair. I always walk out happy. They treat you with respect, even if you just need a .50 cent bolt. When you get frustrated at Home Dopey, come here. You'll thank yourself. This place has been in the neighborhood since I was a kid from Brooklyn like 55 years ago.

The absolute best hardware store you will ever need for most everything you want or need to buy. The owner is tops when it comes to everything he sells. Not like the big home stores where you ask a question and they never have an answer. If you go to Truevalue and ask a question, you will not only get the right answer, if Gary doesn't have what you are loo,ing for he will tell you who does. Support a family business that been around longer then the 34 years we have lived in Centereach.

This is an old fashioned hardware store, the kind that is disappearing all to soon. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They sell or can get just about anything. They still sharpen lawn mower blades, something that the big box stores don't do.

First let me start by saying we have shopped at this hardware for over thirty years. The owner Gary is one of the nicest people you would every want to deal with. On one ocassionhe he actually talked me out of buying a larger snowblower saving me money by suggesting a single stag blower instead. The wait for a question by one of the professionals who work at this store is never long and they are always willing to help finding anything you need from a great hardware store. Will be stopping in to buy a new chain saw and I am gaurented to get a saw that will last for years. They have the best service department for everything they sell. If you want the best, stop in you will be extremely happy you did.

Called and they said yes to making keys. They make house and auto keys. My car key was bent and they were able to still copy it. Went outside and tested it out and they key fit perfect. I like shopping here. Always a positive experience.

The gentleman who helped me buy my stihl 271 chainsaw was a big help he showed me all I needed to know helped me extend my warranty and helped me start the saw outside. Nice people here and great customer service 👍🏻

I used to go to Costello's nearby, but they closed and I found this gem of a hardware store shortly after. You can browse the aisles for a bunch of goodies and not get lost in the process, plus they tend to carry a variety of hardware that you just can't find in the bigger chains, for a reasonable price.
