This was the best merchandised Walmart I have seen in a long time. Items were organized on the shelves and nothing was on the floor. The floors were polished and open without the typical clutter you see in many stores. P.S. I couldn't find any key chains.

The weather was freezing and snowing so I visited for a pair of warm gloves only to discover in Walmart the winter had gone! I could get a swim suit, but no warm gloves. They are a season ahead of reality, how extraordinary.

It's alright. The prices fluctuate frequently, so it's not always the cheapest place to buy things at. (Many times Amazon beats it at low prices.)But they do deliver fast, typically within two - three days, and, you can do pickups at this location. However, most of the Staff don't seem particularly interested in helping customers out.In fact, whenever I walk in, most try to avoid eye contact and when I ask them for help, they typically don't have a great attitude about it. Sometimes where they point me to is even incorrect.They also run out of stock often on many of their items, even if they're not hot selling products. Either that, or they simply don't put new products out very often.All in all, my experience with this Walmart is meh at best. But, I will say they are most definitely the largest general store around.So if you know what you need and where to find it, it can be a good experience. Just don't expect too much from the Staff, and this includes Management.

Went to go get an oil change, they said they couldn't do it because my filler cap wasn't accessable. It's literally right in the front, with a sign on the cap that says "Engine Oil." The mechanic had the gal to argue with me so I brought him outside to show him. It is exceedingly worrisome that these mechanics couldn't figure out where my oil cap was, or maybe they didn't want to change my oil and thought I wouldn't be able to call them on their bluff. Either way, I'm going to a different Walmart, and I said how scary it was that they're working on cars and can't find an oil fill cap. They could've put oil in my transmission and blown up my car! Ridiculous. Absolutely no excuse.

We had a very bad experience on a Monday night at self checkout. Our towels would not ring up at the clearly marked clearence price, on the shelf (less than $6 difference for both), so we let the 2 employees know, we waited for almost 10 mins as one woman scanned and rescanned the towels and then tried to find someone to do a price check. No one responded. She tried again. My husband and I are handicapped. I am in an electric scooter and my husband pushing the cart, wencing in pain, as neither of us are supposed to stand for long periods of time. We explain we are both handicapped and someone should trust her to make an executive decision and do the override. We had 8 items. We wanted to be in and out in 20 mins. Now it's been 25 min of walking, 10 min of standing so my husband asks for a manager. He is told they would call the manager but it may be a while. He says "come with me, I'll show you, there are a bunch of them in one place." He walks with her all the way back to the towels, a few minutes later they return and she overrides the price. All the while she is explaining to the other cashier why she is doing the override. Then we check out and walk away and they begin talking about us. This was a very disappointing, rude, and unprofessional encounter. We shop here weekly and have never had such a bad experience.

I've been coming to this Walmart since its opening and have purchased everything from food, household items, electronics, automotive, gardening and clothing. The staff is always helpful and courteous even thru the Pandemic.Today I needed a minor repair of a pair of glasses and was treated with the same professional and courteous service at their optical center. This to me deserves a 5 star rating!

Surprisingly this store has a large variety foods. Not so much clothing or sporting goods. Maybe the store was going through a transition...I'm not sure but many aisle were missing and empty.

This Walmart is pure evil, run by the devil himself. I put in a delivery order that was supposed to be delivered last night and it’s past ten in the morning the next day and it STILL hasn’t come. I’m afraid to leave the house because if it gets delivered out of the blue my neighbors might steal my smoked salmon. I call and call and I can’t get through to anyone to find out what the issue is. Delivery is supposed to mitigate my stress, not add to it.

Walmart Catskill is a grand place!! The associates are incredible. One in particular, Angela, is the sweetest and kindest( giving all of us the best service). It’s lovely to know I can always trust Walmart.

I went to Walmart to get an oil changeGot stuck waiting around for nearly 2 hours which they were up front aboutBut as I went to leave I noticed my car making a thumping noise, I pulled over on the side of the road and found a very large screw sticking out of my tire, I pulled back into the shop and they acted as if a screw in a mechanics shop was unheard of and it couldn’t have possibly come out of there, they told me there was nothing they could do about itso I left and called the customer cares number and when I explained my issue they told me they couldn’t hear me and hung up the phone on me, I called back and the same thing again.It’s not a huge deal honestly, these things happen and I need to get new tires soon anyway all I wanted was to have the tire plugged.At this point I won’t be returning currently sitting at mavis across the street getting my tire looked at now

Every time I order from this dump they are always out of stock and never have anything I want. So I'm done using this store I'll use glenmonts store . I always order off the klarna app and they always mess up my transactions meaning Walmart and I'm out of my money for some time . The people they hire there are rude as hell as well.

while at the self checkout-checking out my items I was approached numerous times by employees there.I could feel I was being stared at while ringing up my groceries and caught the eyes of the employees multiple times.before I was even finished ringing up my items and associate walks up to me and stated,” your water is on the bottom of the cart,don’t forget to ring it up” okay.I wasn’t even finished yet and she proceeds to pull my grocery list on her hand held monitor and SHOWS me that I haven’t rang it out yet as if I needed the assistance. when I rang up my tomatoes I followed the instructions on the monitor and a completely different associate ran up to me before I could even double check it myself-pulls up HER handheld monitor and tells me that I didn’t ring it up properly.there were multiple other shoppers there ringing out and no one else was approached once let alone 2 times. I asked “is there any reason why I’m being hovered?” and she avoided eye contact and refused to answer the question. Everything felt very accusatory and I haven’t even gotten to the point where I had finished ringing up my items or even have my receipt CHECKED. if the employees feel like I’m doing a cashiers job wrong then I don’t know, maybe YOU do it ?

Since they've changed their strategy for cleanliness this is the best place to shop for most everything they are more organized however they moved their craft items way in the back by the baby clothes and it's very hard to walk back there when you're disabled.They don't have enough electrical ride on devices, most are taken by people who aren't disabled or need to lose 100 lbs.The handicapped parking area is taken up by those who aren't disabled.I wish they had actual more registers open where employees ring up my goods than standing on a line with a do it yourself machine that zips in your money faster than superman.Going to a register is more a personal experience where as a customer you're greeted by a person with caring enough for you and your groceries. Don't forget to BYOB and that doesn't mean "bring your own beer" it means Bring Your Own Bag. Cmon Walmart you're making money hand over fist and can't afford paper bags???Charge us for them then.Some of the people who work there are pleasant and helpful and will go out of their way to help you. That's a plus.I don't care for their produce dept where everyone puts their hands on the vegetables or fruits then tosses it like a basketball, it reminds me of a market in the Indiana Jones movie.I usually order online and pick up my groceries to avoid the above. Craft supplies I pick up myself.

Decided to do some shopping on the way back to NYC. Bought a number of things at a lower price than I would have paid in NYC. Grabbed a few other items that I did not need in a hurry. But grabbed them to not worry about in a few weeks. Great service and friendly. A very clean store.

PLEASE update the self checkout crew on the alcohol purchase policy! I provided my ID however, the uneducated short African American with glasses also asked for my wife and child to provide ID to make the purchase. Since they didn’t have ids I was unable to purchase alcohol. Unbelievable to say the least!

I go there all the time...great prices...great customer service. ...Cashiers at self checkouts are ALWAYS there to help.. DEFINITELY helpful.. cheerful.. I love the shop on line feature.. Saves a lot of time..Highly recommended shopping here or on line! I saved over 30 trips to the store!

I've been shopping at this store since the day they opened. This store is generally well stocked and always clean. The employess I've dealt with here have always been friendly and helpful. Home deliveries are always accurate, damage free, and fast. My experiences with the automotive department and the pharmacy here have also been consistently positive. These people earn every penny they make, and they do a great job.

Employees are very friendly. Especially the ones that bring out pickup orders. I wish Walmart would allow them to receive tips. I used to live in Hudson and hated that Walmart. Catskill Walmart is way better.
