Like most Price Choppers, this one is poorly run. A lot of produce cases were empty, some produce was just terrible (I picked up kale that was yellow on one side to find it was rotting on the other). The grocery aisles are fine but on the expensive side. Seems like at night only self-checkout is open.

They really need to do a better job about not selling expired food. Tonight I saw peanut butter cups from the Niagara brand on clearance and they were expired. They expired in 2023. They must know it's expired if they offer it on clearance. You shouldn't be selling expired food period. I also like these teriyaki noodles over by the organic fruits section and the last several times I went there the same expired ones were there. I'm about to throw them out myself! I like those and I want to buy them, but I don't buy expired food. I checked the price chopper in saugerties and those ones were not expired. It just goes to show you how much they care. People do not want to waste money on expired food!!! I bet people go there all the time and buy stuff that is already expired. It's just pure laziness. And the deli people always slice the pre packaged deli cheese very thick and all the packages are the same price. Some people want a smaller amount and don't need $8 of cheese. Other stores like adams and hannaford have various sized packages and they are thinly sliced. Not super thick constantly. Do better price chopper. The competition is making you look like chumps.

Continued review :Having already been in the store for an hour and a half I ended up just getting the scannable items and leaving my entire bag of fresh produce that I picked out at the counter. I have never been treated so poorly with such contempt in blatant discrimination in my entire life I have a job and education. I am a good person and as a mother who is trying to provide healthy food choice options for her young children. I should not be made to feel like I am an inconvenience, a bother, or a customer who is made to feel less than other shoppers. My business and my families hard earned money can, and will be happily going to shop at Hannaford, where I can be treated with respect and kindness. I have never felt more worthless and pathetic and ashamed in my entire life all because I’m just trying to provide healthy food for my family. This store is in desperate need of immediate training on how to treat a customer and working customer service, and frankly how to be a better human being in general. I will NEVER shop there again

The sales are usually good, but overall prices tend to be high and expire soon. Go to Walmart, at least u get more for your dollar.

My partner RACED down highway 87, teeth clenched, sweating bullets for 3.5 hours. We simply had to arrive before the floral counter closed at 3pm so the gifting department attendant would assist us to fill a bushel of balloons. This particular Price Chopper is the only retailer near Catskill with access to the now endangered helium gas. The celebration was that evening in nearby Tannersville and the freshness of the balloons was essential. We arrived at 2:04 and much to our chagrin the floral department had been closed all day due to the on-staff florist falling ill on this sunny Wednesday. The manager on-duty did open up the florist counter and filled all 33 balloons, saving the day. Thank you, very kind manager man.

Clean store, used self check out, but had some issues, and the associate that helped me was so nice and helpful. Many of the associates are quite friendly.Many items can be pricey, but I like it when they have 10 for $10 sales. I tend to buy the majority of my fresh fruit here. And they have a few different flavored tofus I can't find anywhere else.

The store employees are very receptive, helpful and communicative. In addition, they always have great sales. I have made them my go to grocery store since they continue to keep their prices lower than Walmart, from my experience.

If you are a regular Price shopper, this store is smaller than most I have been to. The selection is adequate but somewhat limited due to the size of the store. The layout of this store I found a little confusing based on other stores I have shopped. Was clean and cashiers friendly.

This store sells so much expired and spoiled food. It’s really gross. I order from Instacart (I have a newborn so time is limited), and every week I receive expired items such as yogurt, potato salad, eggs. Things that actually go sour and pose a health risk if eaten. Not only that, but before my baby was born and I’d go in to shop, the checkout ladies were really rude. They actually complained to me about the amount of groceries I was purchasing. Like, I’m just trying to feed my family AND I’m pregnant. How about you back off.

Usually my experience in Price Chopper is good, but today it wasn't. I was at the seafood area looking to buy some fish, but nobody was there. I figured that maybe he was in the back and will return shortly. Five minutes later no seafood guy. So I went to the meat area and had him page the person. Three minutes later no seafood guy. A second page was made and still waiting. As I started walking away he appeared from the front. No hello, good morning not even an apology or reason. Just a stair look like I was bothering him.

Their can return area was opened when almost everyone else's wasn't but, their machines seem to need constant attention (which isn't a problem when the "right" staff is working.) I didn't do too much shopping there but, they did have one of the cereals that we have a hard time finding but I bought some of the bakery items that were on sale at the time and I wasn't impressed. Their advertised as "baked fresh," but, left an after taste that made me wonder if there were a bunch of added preservatives 😒

Well stocked and they have anything you'll need in the kitchen. A bit more expensive than Walmart on paper goods and everyday items, but less walking around searching for things. Very nice seafood department. Meats and poultry are good quality and always fresh.

An embarrassment of a grocery store.Don't have common items in stock.Nobody the counter for the specialty sections of th store when they are apparently open.Produce always looks like it just kicked a 3 pack a day habit.No cashier's present after 6 or 7 pm on weekdays-the whole store becomes self checkout only with the most aggravating self checkout system of any grocery store.It's worth it to drive to Hannaford to avoid going here, I spend so much time trying to find an acceptable substitute for whatever I actually wanted that I end up spending the same amount of time if I had gone a town over to one of the other grocery stores.

It is 6pm on Saturday and I have waited 20 minutes for a cashier because there is only 1 person ringing customers out. Michelle P. Is the person looking over self-checkout, and she doesn't open up any other registers while at least 12 customers stand and wait. If customers are bagging themselves and ringing themselves out - they should get 15%off their purchase for doing the work themselves

We got tasked to get 7 lbs of shaved turkey for a wedding lunch. A last minute request, and a little shocked; the deli gents quickly and happily got us on our way! We also got 200 lbs of ice which surprised the checkout staff who giggled as we fumbled our 20 bags of ice to the car! Thanks 🙏

Management is evil. Do not work or shop here. Deli manager Tammy is actively retaliating against deli associate Kristin because Kristin was unable to work one day due to unexpected car troubles and no last-minute babysitter. Kristin was working 40 hours a week to support herself and her two children until Tammy retaliated by cutting her down to just 10 hours a week. Upper management and HR are completely ignoring Kristin's screenshots of evidence of said retaliation. Tammy deserves to be fired, Kristin deserves to be able to financially support her children, and this corporation does not deserve your money.

Price Choppers' staff is always helpful and kind. The workers at the registers are always polite and patient. I had a question about how to use the reward points. The cashier explained exactly how to use them. It was nice that I was not directed to use the website in order to quickly serve the next customer. I really appreciate the service at Price Chopper.I have and always will do my main shopping there. I hope they keep the registers open rather than solely use self checkout.

Love the seafood department. Took home a delish fried fish dinner. Didn't want fries so I was given extra slaw. Like the fresh fish I buy here too. I like the older store. Easier to find things with a better selection. Unfortunately the Price Chopper in Hudson closed. Have tried shopping in a couple of new Market 32s and I find them crowded and with a smaller selection of items. More difficult to find what I want. Please don't 'modernize' this store. Always enjoy the Advantage points for money off my gas.

Expensive, but when there are sales the prices are great. Produce is very good here. Their PC brand cookies have been out of stock for months at a time which is one of my regular reasons to go in the first place.

Great bakery items. They will even slice loaves of bread if you ask. Clean appearance, very helpful staff and well stocked. Not very crowded and self checkout is great. I don't mind paying a little extra for some items.

This is our weekend grocery shopping place. Love to shop here. The staff is amazing and Jodi is phenomenal. Extremely welcoming and helpful. Sometimes we wait to just be in her line.Love the apple cider donuts

The store always seems a little dingy and I feel it's way over priced. Its an older store that could definitely use an update. They do have the most amazing produce section though. Whatever you are looking for, they most likely have. I would not recommend their food court. Most of the staff is rude and they act like you are an incovenience. They definitely aren't concerned about quality either. The rest of the store has a helpful, friendly staff however. I honestly cannot say enough good things about their pharmacy. It's the only one I will use!

Store is always clean and the shelves are always full. Customer service is the best. Always friendly atmosphere in the store. Shop there often.Only problem that I have had recently is the cashiers are not properly trained in dealing with people who have EBT cards .
