Great place to get non familiar brand name tools cheap! I have gotten lots and they’ve been fine! I have a great drill press, tool chest ( it’s bright green!)table saw, brad gun, saw horses and lots of hand tools. Thanks, Harbor Freight!

Lots of tools for the DIYer. Decent prices. Decent quality tools for the most part. As a professional I demand high quality products to achieve the best results and finished products. Not all their tools are suited for me. I do own quite a few them though. You always get what you pay for, is the motto I was brought up with.

Best experience at this Catskill location. Employees were super helpful, even asked if u needed help looking for products! Store is well stocked and we'll kept. Kudos to the friendly staff. Highly recommend.

A good place to shop for inexpensive tools. Some are durable and will provide good service life and some not so much. Good selection of mechanic, diy, home, shop, garden, automotive and welding related tools. Do your own research of reviews for particular tools and products. Savings can be substantial. Staff is very polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. Some tools at Lowes and Home Depot are of similar quality but are more expensive. Many HF hand tools have a lifetime warranty. Exchanges are easy and hassle-free.

Lots and lots of hard to find specialty tools of mediocre quality. Great homeowners tools. If you make a living with tools, these are not your tools. If you work with a lot of people who want to borrow your tools, or if you need that one off tool that you'll probably never use again, these are for you. Staff at this location were friendly and helpful, 5 stars for them.

Cheapy stuff sold here. Good for basic items like tarps, bungees, etc. I wouldn't buy electronics or complex tools here, though.Watch and ask what the return policy is BEFORE your item is rung up. I got stuck here more than once with an item that was not returnable and had to be discarded.

I called for stock levels on a particular item. They had only 5 left. I asked if could pay over the phone or if they would hold as I was driving there and was 30 minutes away. They would not do so, unfortunately, which was a small inconvenience, but ok. I got there 40 minutes later (storm damage slowed things down) and they didn't have any unfortunately except the 2 they were holding for other people. I was a little shocked to say the least and definitely upset as they said they wouldn't do this but did for 2 other people. The people were nice and I do use this store quite a bit since it's on the way to a family member's house, but I thought this was kind of underhanded and will just use Lowe's instead from now on.

I'm a first time customer and was pleasantly surprised at the knowledgeability of the staff. From the lady who took my initial phone call, to the person who loaded my generator onto a cart for me, they knew their product information. I love places that are happy to answer questions and be patient while you are making decisions...like deciding about whether you want to purchase an extended warranty or not...

My husband loves this place. He says the prices, deals, discounts etc are unbeatable--even on Amazon. While he has mentioned that he might not get "high-end tools" here... Almost everything else he needs is here & he wishes there was one closer to our house. Lol

They have tools of different qualities, and through the years, their quality tools are now on par with big name bands. They are there to assist you with your needs and their prices don't kill you. I am generally happy with my purchases.

Very nice store. It was my first visit and the store is neat and clean.I saw staff asking how they could help customers in anyway possible.I was on a mission to find a 5 GAL. Kerocine can in the plastic style.No luck as I looked in every isle. 😣 No biggy.I saw many, many, tools etc. I could use.Lots of things to choose from.All I know is, I am glad I did not have my major credit card on hand. 🤔I could of got myself into trouble.Overall, I would suggest anyone who has never been into harbor freight, stop in for a pleasant surprise.I think their prices are fair and even better then some other stores that I will not mention as I do not think it would be fair of me.Why did I only give this store 4 star rating ?Nothing personal, I usually feel there is always room for improvement/s. 😎Have a great day. I hope my half penny's worth of my own personal opinion helps you out in some small way. 😎

I walked out with more tools for less money. It's awesome, all sorts of tools, equipment, special trade tools and so much more all for an outrageously low price. Would cost me over a grand for the special tools I got today. I'll use them a few times in my life but I'll have em. If your gonna use the hell out of a tool go with one off the truck, but these will do for special circumstances that won't get used commercially.

Interesting items. Inexpensive tools,not top quality but good in a pinch. Love the disposable black gloves, they don't rip easily and the XL fit my hands perfectly.

Karlie, checkout person is totally rude. No idea a sale was on and was snippy and dismissive when I asked about it. I realize help is hard to get these days but these kinds of people should find jobs where they don't have to interact with other humans.

Not a place for high end tools but I buy a lot of supplies there and lesser used tools. Good staff and good stock. I drive over an hour every few months to shop there.

Chi Com Charlie tool store. How the hell did they land here in this tiny village within walking distance? This saves me so much driving... no 80 mile round trip to Albany. I'm saving thousands of dollars in labor with hard-to-source specialty tools at low prices.Thank you, juggernaut of Globalism. Good thing we're not in an era of escalating Trade Wars that could upset the flow of this priceless resource.

Harbor Frieght has a great variety of tools. I would say most are not for a professional using them daily but are an inexpensive alternative for homeowners who don't use them every day

Convenient location and good stock. The tools are great for weekend mechanics who take on some but not all jobs. The price is right also.

I travel all around for property management work and have been to dozens of Harbor freights in NY state including Long Island. This is by far the most miserable.I mean, the individuals that work here are seconds away from slicing their wrists and calling it the day. Just right there in the middle of gardening the employee will take their own life because you asked them if they had any more 50 ft hoses in the back. When you speak to an employee at this location about anything, sometimes I think somewhere in their answer is a cryptic cry for help.It’s not the area. There is a Lowes and a Walmart across the street from this location. If you go in their it’s the usual Country like atmosphere with an occasionally citidiot.I am convinced this particular Harbor Freight is a training ground for employees that end up in major cities. You know, where it’s just a bunch of angry nobody’s that really wanted to open a Brooklyn style vegan cafe but are such failures in life that they take it out on everybody in their retail job. Those overcrowded cities thrive on that rudeness and lack of personality.In all fairness every Harbor freight in NY has miserable employees. It must be a terrible company to work for. Perhaps it’s better in other states. But this particular Catskill location is exceptional draining on their soul and it’s never busy.So basically if you want to go to a Harbor Freight that is never busy but also have a piece of your soul drained this is the perfect spot to stop in and say Hi!

Clean Place nice staff keep tools but once again like I always say you get what you paid for have you looking for something affordable this is the place you're looking for Quality that's going to last and be able to be put through some abuse and wear and tear not the right place that's just my opinion but some of their stuff is very great for the price especially if you live near one lifetime warranty on their Pittsburgh brand up hand tools

Went there today with my teenage daughter, one of the employees kept circling around us making my daughter very uncomfortable. Not very professional especially for a store that just opened. Won't name the employee but we do have his name.
