We were heading home during the winter and they were the only park to answer the phone, as well as give us a spot without the need to validate. They saved us from complete disaster trying to get home, as our route received almost 20 inches of snow! The funniest part? Free range chicken and a big ole goose. Loved every moment!

The campground was spacious ,our site big , the staff helpful and friendly, tho I think the the bathrooms need better ventilation, and a bench in the showers to put your bag and shower needs on . Store or office is tiny and unorganized and need to open earlier and stay open later, pool too small for the amount of camper you have . It's a nice campground otherwise, beautiful scenery! We were shocked too that going to the park where the Kaaterskillfalls was that you needed proof of recent rabies shots for your pets., I was very disappointed we couldn't go infor we had looked very forward to seeing the falls . You need more brochures for amenities that are outside your park.

This campground is awesome. Bonnie and her family were nothing more than spectacular. We were there from 8/3-8/6/2023, and this campsite's amenities and location are awesome. It has a beautiful pool, a game room for the kids, and a beautiful lake for a nice walk or fishing, rock climbing, archery, and the restrooms might look old from the outside but very clean on the inside. The bathrooms with 75 cents to shower is fun for my kids. CONNIE ROGERS, we apologized for the noise as we had a few young kids playing hide and seek but Bonnie was there to quickly enforce the quiet time. Regarding all the other items you listed as poor, I think you were totally wrong about this site. You did not give it a chance but we have and been coming to Brookside Campground for the past 15 years. Love this place and I recommend this Campground to anyone.

Ms. Bonnie! I was looking at my timeline and ran across this stop from when we were there back in 2018. All I can say is WOW! I use to come in and talk to you about all your plans you had while my husband was working and I knew then (especially your home) it was going to be awesome.. but again Wow! What a difference you have made and it looks amazing!I can say I enjoyed it there for the time I was there visiting my husband, so I can only imagine with seeing the pictures, how amazing it is now.Glen and Lisa, TN

Love the place ❤️ First visit we did right after Covid. They were one of very few campgrounds which opened that time. We loved them then and every year we come to this camp. People are super sweet. Pool is warm (we now live in Florida), very good and very clean. There's entertainment every weekend for kids and adults ( movie, firetruck ride and more). If anyone wants to visit Catskills I would advise to come to Brookside Camp 👍❤️

Been camping here since 2010. EVERY YEAR. Bonnie and her family have become family to us. We just moved to Florida but we still take a flight to ny to go camping here. It’s such a lovely family place and they have great events. Will always recommend brookside!

This is a nice campground, but the time of year we go makes it muddy. There is only 1, maybe 2 pull through sites. It’s good just passing through for a night. I thought the owner was on site but couldn’t get in touch with them once there. They told me a site I was to go to but when I got there there was a trailer in the spot. I walked around and saw an open pull through site and moved to there. The owner called and asked where I was and I told her and she said that’s fine where we were. We made it and got some sleep. Maybe they will setup more pull through sites.

I feel a lot of reviews here are overly critical. It's a campground. There's going to be dirt, grass, trees and bugs. The bathrooms were impeccable. The scenery was beautiful. At night it was very peaceful. The owners were gracious and more than accommodating. We genuinely enjoyed our time here.

My parents have a new vacation RV and they are new to the experience. This was their first time camping out of their RV. They traveled down from Toronto to visit me in Woodstock and we wanted to go camping out of it for a night. We chose this campground because it was one of the few accepting guests into late October, and it’s close to Kaaterskill falls. The woman on the phone was really friendly. The site was super quiet, we hardly saw anyone. They have a great area for kids with stuff like a basketball court, a horseshoe pit, and a game room with a pool table. It was really ugly weather unfortunately but the campsite itself was clean and there’s tons of grills for cooking EVERYWHERE. overall really fair prices for full hookups and a quiet space.

Stayed at this campground with bunch of friends in the beginning of the Summer. It was a great experience- clean camping area and clean bathrooms, water and electrical hookups at every campground site. Fun activities for kids and even a pool! Our whole gang is going back in early September again. Highly recommend!

It was a peaceful and nature experience weekend. The campsite was big, it had water access and electric plugs, many trees to cover from the rain, pool and playgrounds and activities for kids, expectations 10/10The bathrooms need a little cleaning and the pool will best if it had light arround the area.

We stayed at Brookside Campground for 3 nights in a class a. The campground portion of the park, in the back, looks good for campers and tent camping. We chose to have a Deluxe Pullthrough up front. There was nothing “deluxe” about it. Yes we had 50amp and sewer but the area around us looked like a trailer park. Our front window view was a shed or something with basically stuff (junk) all around. Normally this wouldn’t be to bad but not at the price they were charging. I think 3 stars is probably the best I could give them for the spot we were in. The roads are very dusty and rough. The utilities at our site did work well, minus the water pressure. We couldn’t shower with so low of pressure. Filled our tank each night to use. The location of the utilities was far to the front of our site. Just barely reached our power cord. Just set your expectations if you are staying in a FHU site. Not worth the price charged. Sorry guys, just being honest.

This is day two and it’s not as terrible as I felt in my first impression. It’s a little rough and our opinion is it is a little overpriced. They used to take Passport America where it would have been $25 for the night. That is what this campground is worth: $25 a night. When I talked to the owner she said yes, they used to take it but had too many issues. I give this campground a three for the cleanliness maybe two for the friendliness. This is a family oriented campground where children are more than welcome and they have lots to do. From play grounds, swimming pool, game room and a nice walking path around the perimeter. It’s really nice for families and for tenters. They have some really nice tent spaces.I also did not like being between two campers that were permanent or semi permanent making the place look a little trashy. I think this campground would highly benefit from having permanent campers next to each other and people that come in and out on daily or even weekly basis separated. In my mind that would be the ideal situation. Still, for the site itself, $50 a night is overpriced.

Perfect campground! We camped in August and it was cozy, safe, large lots for tents. They also have awesome tent sites for large companies/families. Bathrooms clean. Pool, arcades, basketball, volleyball, soccer. Movie on Saturdays outdoors. The mountain view is awesome! The owner Jerry was very welcoming and helpful, the staff worked hard to keep place clean! I loved the safety of the campground, no bears or crazy wildlife as in the state campgrounds. Safe for kids to go play to the playground and come back to the site on their own. One request to the owner to make the wifi available to the tentsites please! Xtra router after the bathrooms. And please run the recycling bin. Many visitors would separate recycables because we love nature and camping!

This is my Favorite campground. The owner Bonnie is amazing. She is super sweet and always willing to help with any problems. The pool was recently renovated and is great. I usually go with a Group of 30 and few campgrounds are willing to accommodate that size. There is enough space. For groups, I recommend holiday weekend as quiet hours start at 2am, otherwise at 11pm. There is always enough activities for the kids. Their convenience store has everything you possibly need and forgot.

Very disconcerting that when I checked in they had me put on a bracelet. They said it was so they'd know I belonged in the campground. It made me wonder if they have had problems with trespassers. They are really trying to be a nice park. There are good facilities, outdoor ping pong, a pool, but there are lots of seasonal or permanent campers and the sites are really junky. The owner's house and yard are also full of junk. The office/store is so, so crowded with stuff. Lots of toys, so little kids love it, but I don't know how you find what you want. The staff was very friendly and there were fun activities.

We just held a large weekend group event here and had a wonderful time. Bonnie was very accommodating and provided us with a great site that was clean, accessible and private. Some of us stayed in one of the cabins which was rich with amenities and a great value.I look forward to returning with the family during their normal season.

If you want to vacation in a trailer park boy, is this the place for you! The owner was nice but all the residents really ruin it for you. The pool was well maintained. No life guard on duty. Cabins were outdated. Our didn’t have hot water at all. There seems to be zero park security at all. The place could have potential but all the permanent residents and all their trash everywhere really makes it feel more like a trailer park than a campground. I will not return nor would I recommend it to anyone in the future. There still are so many great campgrounds in the Catskills. Don’t waste your time or money.

Booked it in a rush for the holiday weekend to stay and hike the Catskill trails. The staff is friendly, and the bathroom is clean. Price is not cheap, but okay. We were told that the quiet hour ends at 2AM for holidays. We have camped over two dozen campgrounds in the east coast in the past year. This is the only one that really made us uncomfortable. First, the "noise" that we never experienced before. A few camp sites next to ours are empty. Then there was a large group there, about 40 yards away. Far enough? They played a kind of Mexican pop loudly till 2AM, and talked/laughed loudly after that. The next day, two other groups on the other side "joined" them to play loud music with strong base till 2AM. How loud? 60 to 80db just outside our camper and 45 to 60db inside. Second, security. We often leave the step stool on the camp site while driving our camper to trail head, especially when it rains and the stool is wet. This is the first time we lost the step stool in a camp site after a few hour's hiking. We asked the campground office, they had no idea who took it. We gave up the third night and left.Update: We never moved anything, including the fire pit and picnic table. We don't do camp fire in the rain. We were on 32. We parked facing the sign, close to the picnic table, the pit and the woods. We might be confused if it is not the right place. By the way, we left the stool about 2 feet from the woods and 10 feet from the picnic table, which is not close to any other camp sites with people, nor in the middle of open field. We did expect holiday parties ongoing. We camped during independence day and labor day last year. This is really different. Plus, I never saw people talking so loud during quiet hours for over 2 hours.

Great place, they have fire pits for each campsite, common- pool, rock climbing activity, game room and open movie night this weekend. The only downside was there are only two bathrooms between 60-70 camp sites, and big parties of people who can get very loud the entire day. I would say great if you are with kids and ok with noise. Def no for people looking for peace and solace. But everything was packed as we tried to book last minute so lucky we could find this place. We had site 27. Perfect for two peopleAlso, if sky are clear you wouldn’t be able to do stargazer from your site itselfTotal price for tent 2 people- $37 and extra for the firewood

This place is amazing! I haven't camped since 13 years old. I'm 45 now and brought my family here. The cabin was clean, well taken care of and Bonnie is a Superstar! This place is family friendly, the grounds are clean and just PERFECT! The pool amazing and the views splendid. I'm looking forward to going back
