It is a great store to shop but when you go in and employees are running other employees down who aren't even there to defend themselves it is a little annoying .On a better note the ones that are there doing there job and doing it well are wonderful to deal with very helpful and polite to deal with! Dollar General Canton NY store number #09582!! This Dollar General has a few who make shopping very nice and are easy to deal with. There is Tory can't think of her last name. Then there is Amy Disotell . They are polite always ask if you need assistance finding something always have a smile. I have to add that each time I go in there are a few cashier's who are quiet and then you have those you walk in the store and you are just happy to see them working there. A few to mention are Lisa P. And Amy D. I spend a fortune in there every month and each time I go in I am thankful to see both of them. It would be a sad day if either of them were not there for any reason. I'd have to go shop some where else.

If I could rate this review a 0 i would. The store was fine but the district manager ms. Showen and a male cashier who is tall, kind of big with oily grey hair and glasses are truly a disgrace to the store and the other employees. Ive never ran into anyone at any store that was as rude and childish as these two people. Then to go out into the parking lot and make faces at you while youre sitting in your own car on the phone to corporate. Very unprofessional. If either of these employees read this review, i just want you to know that neither one of you intimidated me one bit. You lack in customer service big time! I am sure after being to other dollar general stores that you two can easily be replaced with someone who has the intelligence to know that customers are how you get your paycheck. Hope i never see you 2 again and i will be back to that store to shop! I best not get that same attitude again.

The folks here at Canton Dollar General are absolutely wonderful. They welcomed me in and made me feel like part of the community right away. They assisted me in locating a couple of items I needed quickly while my 7 year old son's patience waned! They are always hard at work when I go in and are always welcoming. Keep up the great work, folks! :)

We’ll usually have no problems In this store . Minus when they hire incompetent workers that can’t even SCAN A NEW YORK STATE LICENSE LIKE THE TATTED UP BLONDE GIRL WORKING GOD GET SOME COMPETENT WORKERS SHES HAD THIS PROBLEM MULTIPLE TIMES, NOW IM DONE SHOPPING AT THIS STORE !!!! Let alone can’t even read a passport

Fairly decent store. Employees are not super friendly, a lot seem like your bothering them, but otherwise it's a pretty cool store. Has decent products. They don't carry a lot but they do carry quite a bit of nice products. So besides employees seeming to be rude the store is decent.

Always leave with more than I came in for. Didn't have armed pillow in stock I purchased previously that I wanted to buy. Other inventory was overflowing.

The staff was rude,,but most of all the place is filthy,, the floor still had the same paper in the same spot I had seen a week ago. They need to work on cleaning the place up,,sweep,,mop.
