As a former employee who helped open up the Canandaigua store almost 10 years ago, I was not happy.I visited today (a sunny Tuesday before Christmas) between 2:30p and 3:30p. It was not busy at first. I saw only two other employees as I went through the store. When I went to check out, traffic in-store had picked up. I had looked at dog treats, and found all the bags of one brand were expired (one in April, another in August) so I brought one of each type up with me to check out. There were 10 people in the checkout line ahead of me when I went to cash out, and just one cashier. He called on the radio for help, but no one came-until I got up to the checkout. I gave the cashier the expired product and indicated all shelf stock were expired. The cashier did a great job in a tough situation. Management: Do better!

Great store that has everything , but I would not use the restrooms. The bathrooms were nasty with the toilets overflowing and garbage and toilet paper on the floor. Also puddles of water or urine.

We were in Runnings today. Highly disappointed. The bathroom looked like they haven't been cleaned in months. One door hanging cockeyed off one half a hinge. Totally did not want to touch anything. I've been in gas station bathrooms that have been better.Your store is in desperate need of a overhaul. One star is the lowest I could give.

When they have chickens, I have gotten healthy and happy chicks. The atmosphere isn’t the greatest and it gives off a “run down” vibe for me, but what do you expect.

Customer service was really good for as huge as this store is. Went in for one thing and came out with like six things. So many different departments covering everything you could ever want at reasonable prices.

I bought 2 pairs of glove that were on sale according to their ad the cashier rung them up and was very upset that she had to follow the advertise sale price that was in the ad and marked by the gloves it was like I was putting her out by asking for the sale price very rude and not customer service orientated

Beautiful store. I splurged on my husband because he likes to sleep with a fan so I bought a very expensive $65 fan it quit just within 6 months just stop working I keep it clean and repaired. I've had Dollar General box fans at last longer.

The canandaigua store sporting goods department is a complete circus. Two of the people that work there have no idea what the laws are or how to process gun or ammunition purchases, and the only one that seems to have common sense is the most arrogant, short tempered employee I've ever had to deal with. Adam in sporting goods is so bothered by every single thing he has to do, well u took the job how about leave. I am a major outdoor enthusiast, along with hundreds that hunt in our clubs and none of us will ever go to the canandaigua store again, they are so short staffed and absolutely terrible attitudes.

We pre ordered chicks and when we never got a call saying our chicks came in we drove there to check only to find out our order was sold already. When asked they told us to come back another day to ask someone else. The workers were rude and not good customer service either. Everytime we wait to check out, there are long lines on the only 2 registers open and there is a group of around 6 young workers who will just stand there to the left of the registers and make eye contact with you and go back to their conversations. Without fail. Never going to come back. This has happened way to many times to excuse this behavior.Edit. We ordered our chicks months in advance and they were pushed back twice. We patiently waited 2 months for our birds. I do believe our order would of been up top. they even had our names and how many birdsWere ordered on the paper slip above each chick bin when we went to go see what was wrong and why we were not called. How was it given to someone else when we even had our names and the amount of chicks were up and visible.

After 2 times in the past few weeks of calling to see when chicks would be in, I drove 1/2 hour on that day to be told they didn't come in due to a weather related issue and they would be in the next day around noon. I drive the 1/2 hour again the next day and got there at 1155 to find chicks are marked as sold out. I find that they take pre-order starting after Christmas and not many chicks available in the near future. It would have been nice to be told that on one of the phone calls or the first time i was there not to come back because they were all sold. No need to go back they have lost my business. They may as well have people order online through Hoover Hatchery or advertise their in store System.

Me and my wife went in to reserve a shotgun. When we went back she attempted to buy the shotgun and they denied her and when I got there they were very rude and abrupt. Im sure it had nothing to do with my wife being black but when the manager called to say they wouldnt sell to us hey said "If that was your wife".
