I have gone here before for ice cream but never to eat. I came her with a friend for lunch which she suggested and I had the chicken salad in a waffle cone. It was delicious!! I wanted to have another one! It was fresh and you could tell it was in house made. I also had a butter cream milkshake that was really good to! The atmosphere is relaxed. You can go there to hang out and probably just chill with a book in the comfortable chairs. The owner is very nice, family owned. I will definitely go back for lunch and of course for ice cream!

Updating my review from 3 years ago.3 Stars as the ice cream is always good. Some may say the wait is worth it, but to others not. My husband and I got to Cheshire Creamery at 8:06pm on a Sunday evening. We left with our items to go at 8:46. There were 3 families that ordered ahead of us and 3 more that were waiting for their orders they already placed by the time we got there. Service is always consistently slow here. It may be the Creamery struggles with staffing as a lot of places are right now, however I can say from experience, service is always slow...even prior to Covid. Maybe it's a scheduling the right amount of people thing.I ordered a twist waffle cone with chocolate sprinkles. The twist initially came out with no sprinkles, so I asked and the woman who took the order didn't put it on the order. I verified with my husband that I did say chocolate sprinkles and he said yes, I did...any way after the clerk told me it wasn't on the order she put them on there anyway. This was nice. I was 3/4 done with my cone by the time my husband got his order of a brownie sundae made the way its on the menu, no special adds or substitutes. There were two men who also ordered brownie sundaes who were a few spots behind us in line. My husband received his sundae well after those two. No apology for the delay, no reason as to why his was given to him last and not in the order the orders are placed.I say make your own choice to go here. We have been plenty of times and the ice cream is so good. Service is lacking. I think they try. It's just not good.3 years ago, 5 stars my review was: Always a great stop for a summer treat. Mostly crowded in the summer, but service is quick and the food is delicious. Atmosphere is nice. Always clean inside and cute decor.

Absolutely adorable with delicious food! The baked goods are delicious and if you visit on a pot pie day you have to try one! The coffee selection is great and the service is always friendly. Totally worth your time to visit here!

Acoustics are harsh; the dining room could stand some noise abatement. But the place was great. Good snacks. I enjoyed the quiche. Coffee was hot and tasty. The assortment of ice cream flavors was impressive.

Friends brought us here when we were visiting and it was delicious! The staff are great, the ice cream fantastic and I got to buy a pretty great mug! What more could I ask for!

I loved my ice cream here. My spouse got the black button bourbon ice cream which was so good. I got their soft serve which I loved. Better than the ice cream though, were the homemade waffle cones 🤩 that vanillay-marshmallowy flavor is something I crave every summer.

Everything we recieved was served ice cold, and completely uncooked! The staff gave us nothing but coldness, and what they served our food in broke and leaked in our hands!! Overall an amazing creamery with the best ice cream, cones, and service.

First of all, love this place. We stopped here on a whim on our way home from Buffalo. We often look for family owned businesses for places to eat and your creamery came up when I searched for ice cream in Canandaigua. Read the reviews and knew we had to stop there.Ice cream was fantastic, cute inside and out. Cant wait to stop here again.

It was my first time visiting the canandaigua area in over 5 years. I was looking for an icecream place and tried Cheshire Farms Creamery and was not disappointed! With a great flavor selection, really well priced icecream, and the most creamy and delicious icecream you will regret not coming here!

I am on a mission to visit as many creameries as I can find on my trips. I recently visited Cheshire Farm Creamery while vacationing in Finger Lakes, and this creamery wasn't what I had expected. I thought they have their own free roam cows and their ice cream. Instead I drove up to a commercial building with a parking lot.During my visit, I learned that they partner with companies to get their ice cream. They also sell a limited selection of baked items and food items. Their ice cream selection is seasonal, and they didn't have the Lilah's Irish Cream ice cream that I went there for. I was very disappointed. I ended up getting the Creme De Menthe, which is mint chocolate chip. It was yummy. I also got a slice of the quiche, which was very good, too.This creamery has a very roomy dining room and the bathroom is very clean. After I got their, a tour bus arrived, and it got very busy quickly.The employees are very friendly and polite. This is a great place for a snack and ice cream. Althought it wasn't what I initially expected, it is a great place to take a break at if you are on a rode trip.

Some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. The one exception is the butterscotch crunch, avoid that flavor at all costs (it is by far the star of their ice cream menu, my favorite, and they run out so back off).Their food menu is also exceptional. The first time I ordered the chicken and waffles I was very confused, chicken salad in a waffle cone drizzled with maple syrup? Ya, it’s dynamite.**bring back Butterscotch Crunch (please and thank you)

This place never disappoints! So many ice cream flavors to choose from, and all made right in house. They also serve the delicious Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters coffee, as well as some fresh baked goods! Service is always great, and the environment is very inviting. Definitely worth the stop.

I think we've tried every ice-cream flavor by now- they're all absolutely fabulous. The soup, too. The building itself is *maybe* the best part- it always smells so amazing, the decor is fun, and they even have fun little gifts up front. I would recommend everyone who steps foot in Canandaigua visits here- although they already might! Sometimes we try to choose chillier days to visit since it can get a little busy (rightfully so!)

This is our favorite ice cream in Canandaigua. It is fantastic. Purple chip is my usual favorite but when they have the chocolate ice cream with chocolate chip I snap that up. Once they had one with bacon (forgot the name), man I'd like to get that again!!!

Great ice cream flavors, but horrible acoustics in the building. Don't expect to have conversations or hear yourself think over screaming children and the sea of their ear-piercing echoes.
