Compared to Home Depot, I believe the staff at Lowe's are more helpful and often more knowledgeable. The items I'm looking for are about equally available at both stores. The exception is the garden store, where Lowes has a much better selection. UPDATE-1: Recently bought their snap-together flooring planks for a bathroom. The price was very reasonable and the floor is quite attractive. Also, purchased a padlock for my gym locker and was impressed by the many choices available.

I am deeply disappointed by the lack of customer service I experienced at the Camillus Lowe’s store. As a contractor who frequents Lowe’s in the Syracuse area at least six days a week, I arrived at the Camillus location shortly before its 9:00 closing time, only to find the doors locked at 8:55. Despite being just a few feet from the door, I was met with an extremely rude attitude from an employee named Kyle, who pointed at his watch and tersely informed me of the closing time. When I attempted to clarify the store's closing time, Kyle continued to display condescending behavior towards me.The treatment I received from Kyle was completely unacceptable, regardless of the circumstances. It is disheartening to encounter such rudeness from an employee, especially in a retail environment where customer service should be a top priority. Whether a customer shops at the store frequently or infrequently, every individual deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy. Kyle's demeanor has left me feeling uncomfortable and hesitant to seek assistance from him in the future.While Lowe’s corporate prides itself on providing excellent customer service and assisting customers throughout their shopping experience, my encounter with Kyle contradicts these values and has tarnished my perception of the store. I urge Lowe’s management to promptly address this issue and ensure that all employees uphold the company's standards of professionalism and respect towards customers.

Extremely disappointed. We purchased a range and had it delivered. When it arrived, it was not in a box, had a power cord already attached and wrapped in plastic packing material. We did not use the stove immediately, our mistake. When we went to use the oven for the 1st time, there was grease inside the door glass, this is a used stove sold as new from the distribution center, Samsung has confirmed this. Basically, I was told that I had 24 hours to return the item, it had been 7 days since it was delivered, so......tough luck. Samsung has been notified, a new door is on its way with their apologies.

Lowes will surprise you with good deals and great service from their staff. My wife and I found a grill on sale and saved a ton of money. We couldn't be happier with our purchase. The staff even helped load it in our car.

Michelle and Will really took there time out helping me find the paint color I need. I’m glad there is still great customer service out there. Keep up the good work.

Customer service has been lacking in recent years. Lowe’s provided me with expert help, a willingness to listen and all without being impatient. AND the store had what I needed with options for creativity. Again, something that has been hard to find presently.

We have had a terrible experience with Lowe’s. We have been waiting since last October for installation of a dishwasher. They even lost the dishwasher in the process and had to order us another one. We are very disappointed in the service.

Got a new microwave today! Perfect for our family if four. About $110. Great product review. Location was very clean. No waiting. They had hand sanitizer available and free face mask if you forgot yours. Will be back soon for plants☺️

Most horrific delivery experience ever. Don't waste your time. Won't give full details but the short is their private contractor delivery team said refrigerator was too large to complete delivery and insulted me saying I don't know how to measure etc. They removed my old fridge which was larger than new one but caused damage to my house then after the fact tell me new one wont fit now. Ordered same exact refrigerator thru home depot and delivered and installed with no issue whatsoever. To top it off the lowes store manager hangs up on me said she didn't have time to listen to my issue they're understaffed etc. Most horrific customer service ever. Lost 275 dollars worth of groceries and then don't have the nerve to give anything more than an apology. And then didn't issue my full refund because I canceled the delivery. Are you kidding me? Still playing phone tag with them no one seems to care or call me back. I'm guessing I'll receive a generic response like many others on these reviews too saying something to the affect oh we pride ourselves in customer service. Do me a favor shop anywhere other than lowes, your blood pressure will thank you for doing so.

Great products, but not so great employees. I went to the plumbing area in search of plumber's putty, Eric appeared, so I asked him where I could find the plumber's putty. I advised Eric that I am deaf in both ears. This fellow didn't understand how to communicate. I read speech (lips) in several languages, but his mouth didn't move, instead, he uses his fingers to point me to an aisle (#33), and advised me to walk down an aisle where it will be on my left. I never saw it. Plumber's Putty is not stocked in the Camillus location, so I ended up walking next door, and found it.Does Lowe's hire people with an intellectual disability? The time on my receipt is 13:20 (I needed another item).

It appears that Lowe’s is incapable of completing a propane tank exchange. Paid for an exchange and the self checkout “care-taker” supposedly called for someone to come out to swap tanks. No one showed. Went back in and asked her again and again she supposedly called for someone. Minutes passed and again no show. Went back to customer service (returns area) and waited in line to get refund.

I just went in for a gallon of paint. The woman who mixed it for me was very friendly, and the two girls at the checkout were super friendly and helpful. Definitely the best Lowe's experience I've ever had!

This place is a joke. 9/10 they won't have what I need. They sell rivet guns, but not numbered drill bits for the rivets. Something simple like a garage door seal? Nope, they don't have that either. Coming here is always a waste of time.And good luck finding someone to help you, not that they'll know what it is you're looking for anyway. They'll be too befuddled by other customers to help. They will, however, say have a nice day as you leave without buying anything, so there's that I guess.

I had a great experience. I needed a new microwave and I had plenty of help. A woman who worked there helped me get the microwave in to the cart and pushed it up to the register for me. She also got someone to bring it out to my car for me. The gentleman at the register was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the warranty on the microwave . I had a great experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

I don’t recommend having carpet installation done by Lowe’s. My boyfriend had purchased carpeting and installation, while the carpet itself was fine the installation was not. On the day of the appointment they showed up and did not communicate. Marked up his newly painted walls, and his new trim work that had been done. When mentioned to Lowe’s the employee said it was normal for mark ups. When explaining that the walls were scuffed half way up the employee was still dismissive. He now has to repaint and redo the trim, again.

I was just at the Lowe's store in camillus new York.I was told by a coustom service person they were out of blue rino propane. So I ask when the next delivery would be she had no clue.After arriving home I decided to call blue rino to see when the next delivery would be to the Lowe's in camillus.After a brief time on hold she told me that there was over 100 tanks at that Lowe's store. So I called Lowe's back and the person told me they're are some available out back. Very sad group of people working there.

The products we purchased are great. This store's follow up is non-existent. We had a washer delivered with a completely scratched up selector dial. No one can solve it! The store sent me to Samsung. Samsung sent me to Lowes Warranty. Lowes Warranty sent me back to the store - where I started! Have now talked to several people at the store and no resolution. I mean, at one point they tried to send me to their delivery sub-contractor. I am convinced that Lowes has no policy or actual process on how to handle this. Sorry Lowes of Camillus - business relationships are built on the small things. I had a small complaint . . . and it has been obvious from day one that they wanted me to "go away."

Manager Joe was dismissive, apathetic and rude. Refuse to honor price shown online for HIS store, stating “we don’t price match competitors”. Would have me order pickup, wait for them to pull it off the shelf to get the correct price. If i bring it to the register I have to pay more. Joe has no customer service skills and needs to go through manager training again. Utter incompetence

If I could give no stars I would. They hire independent companies to deliver appliances. One of the companies they hire will cut the power cord off your old fridge and then tell you the new one won’t fit and leave you with no fridge.

We bought our Christmas tree there this year. The staff was very nice. It was a good tree at a fair price. I would've been quite satisfied with my experience, but the couldn't drill a hole in our tree for the tree stand. "We don't have a drill," the guy says. I'm at a Lowe's, one of the biggest hardware chains in the country, maybe the world I dunno, and no on can give the guy running the Christmas tree concession a got-danged drill? This seems to be an almost impossible oversight. Get it together, Lowe's Home Improvement Center.

Went to store #2538 in Camillus on 7/5/21 at 5:30 and had a horrific experience with the manager at the front counter. He was rude, was speaking over me and my wife, told us we did not know how to do "simple math." I would give his name but he stormed off before I could read his name tag. Middle aged balding man. My wife said she was literally insulted by this waste of space. We purchased a refrigerator a few days prior and went in to get refunded the price difference. We tried to handle it over the phone for them to tell us we needed to go into the store. Waited in line with no one ahead of us for 8 min to have the person at the counter refer us to the manager. This should be a very simple transaction handled in the worst possible way. I will be placing a formal complaint at the store as well. Went back to the store the next day and spoke to someone with a brain, 10 min later was refunded the correct amount.
