This is a hidden gem in a cute town in Callicoon. It is in the middle of Upper Main Street and you can easily miss it if you aren’t paying attention. It’s right next to the antique store. You order at the window and can sit outside in the storefront or go to the back where it is shaded and private.In general, there aren’t many Asian restaurants in the Sullivan County area. You can probably count on your fingers on how many good Asian spots there are with two hands and I think that’s being generous. To know that I can get authentic Vietnamese food at a reasonable cost, I call this winning. The restaurant is a small gem and is run by a two person staff. They have always been great to us and always accommodating.Our go to is the petite bahn mi. It’s a 5 inch sammie and packed with flavor. The smaller size makes it great for a starter or small meal. If you are hungry, you can order 2 or something else. I typical go with the chicken.So I will call this out right now and say Ba & Me has the best iced coffee in Sullivan County. If you never had Vietnamese coffee, it is a strong coffee brew that is sweetened with condensed milk. It blows Dunkin’ and Starbucks iced coffee out of the water. It’s so good that we usually get 2 iced coffees for each of us.Being in an area where there isn’t a huge Asian community, they aren’t able to provide some staples like pate bahn mi or other Vietnamese staples. As our community gets more diversified, I am hoping Nhi and team will be able to bring additional dishes and flavors to the store.I thoroughly enjoy the Callicoon location but they have two others in Honesdale, PA and Livingston Manor, NY. I believe pho is only being served in Livingston Manor at this time. So definitely make the trek out there if you got a craving.

I drove to Callicoon specifically for this restaurant. Four hours and it was worth it. Beautiful drive from Pennsylvania and Callicoon is a nice area to relax and kill a day or two. The food was excellent.

Ba & Me has some of the most fresh and delicious food in the region in my experience. The summer rolls are insanely delicious, as are the rice bowls and pho. I feel great every time I eat this food. The wait times can be long on summer weekends when these vacation towns get slammed (and this is a small, mostly family-run operation), so we order online with a set pick-up time if we need to plan accordingly, or go in at off-peak hours.Vegetarian options: The summer rolls are incredible, as are all the main dishes with tofu.

This is our favorite local Vietnamese spot in the summer. The summer rolls were light & crisp (dipping sauce is delicious), the chicken bahn mi is perfectly seasoned and we love that the offer Vietnamese coffee –super refreshing on a hot day. Everything we've ever ordered has been very fresh and delicious. There is also a lovely shaded garden in the back.

I had lunch in Callicoon on a beautiful Friday… The food was very fresh and delicious. I had a rice bowl with grilled tofu (😋) and my friends had the pork sandwich (👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻). The service was great and the employee was very attentive and sincerely grateful that we enjoyed our meal. It made all the difference...🙏🏻 Plus the garden is a very comfortable place: cool, calm and quiet.

We had just the 1 baa mi. It costs over $13 with almost 4% surcharge & tax. The taste profile is way off. The baa mi from Thai Son in Jackson Heights is 1000% better & much larger. Nevertheless, please patronize the place as the daughter is trying to put herself through college.

I moved up to the local area, and had such a hard time finding good food, with great portions. I found this place on accident and ordered multiple times in one weekend. The girls are very sweet at the Callicoon location. Will def become a regular.

I go to the mountaindale location every weekend. The decor is simple yet very charming, the food is incredible, always fresh and full of flavor.. My favorite little eatery! I order the chili garlic chicken every time and it is perfection !

Excellent food at reasonable prices. Really thoughtful and charming garden outback to enjoy your takeout safely too.Pro:tip - We ordered online and didn't have to wait for food upon arrival! Otherwise expect to wait because food is a craft and sandwiches don't grow on trees :)

I ordered two bahn mi (vietnamese sandwiches) from here and you could fit 4 of them in a bahn mi from anywhere else, I mean seriously the whole sandwich is the size of the pickle you would get with a real sandwich, plus they charge $10 for one, anywhere else it would be 4x's the size and at half the price, never again. New post in response to the owner's reply: If you only offer appetizer sized bahn mi then why do you charge twice a regular sized and why do you call your restaurant Ba and Me???
